Fadely Home Design

I had personal recommendations to them, and the Angie's List reviews were very good. The price was better than any of the others by far. The work went incredibly well. I was very pleased. This is the kind of company people want to work with. It took about 3 weeks to get the work finished, because the windows had to be ordered.

Mark gave me an estimate and since it was reasonable, I did not bother to get a second one. The material came on time as promised and installed quickly. I had a couple of concerns after completion and called him about it. He promptly sent someone to fix the concern. Overall, they exceeded my expectation in workmanship and professionalism.

Their quote was 40% less than the next lowest quote. He offered us free financing as well. They were pretty informative and they did a great job. They were timely. We had a couple of windows that were bent. They came out and fixed them. I would use them again in future, may be for my patio door.

They took out the old wooden windows and replaced with new vinyl, double pane, argon gas filled windows. I got an estimate to have the old ones repaired and the price was about the same as Fadley replacing them. Their price was very competitive and they gave me an Angie's List discount of $200. Mark Fadley came out and brought some samples with him. He took measurements and gave me a price. He was very professional and friendly. All the employees work for him and answer to him. He is a friendly guy. The two workers cleaned up everything when they were done. They even vacuumed the floor where ever they had worked. The windows they install come with lifetime warranty.

An inspection prior to purchase of our 1988-built condo revealed 3 casement windows, 1-3 panel transom window, and the entire patio sliding door unit had much rotted wood in them. Additionally, a storm door had to be replaced. When we called him about an estimate for replacements, Mr. Fadely promptly made an appointment with me to examine and recommend what replacements needed to be done, if repair were a possible alternative, and the cost of the entire project. After two other estimates from other Angie's List companies, we determined that replacement was the only possible alternative and, having received the estimate for the job from each company, we decided to hire Fadely Home Design to do the work. (Too, they had replaced windows in another condo in our complex and we spoke to those customers and saw their finished product; they were very pleased with Mr. Fadely's work and we could see for ourselves what the finished product looked like). Once the ordered products came in, Mr. Fadely's installers arrived on time and, in 2 1/2 days, installed everything but the new storm door (it was on back order). The installers were truly skilled and efficient in their workmanship as well as polite, friendly, and patient in explaining what every step of the job entailed. Once the storm door came in, they came back and installed it. We were not charged for the storm door until it was installed. During the initial installation, the installers discovered a factory-made flaw in one door of the patio sliding door unit. Fadely called and immediately had Pella representatives come to our house, inspect the flaw, and a new one was immediately ordered. Once it came in, the Pella reps came and installed it and made adjustments to the screen which would not freely slide. One thing we would suggest is that Mr. Fadely make sure his customers know that Pella brand windows have the screen on the inside of the patio sliding door unit. (This means that you must open the screen to close the glass sliding door, thus letting in every bug gathered on the screen to be near light, etc.) We had not done our homework and were not aware of this design which is unique to Pella and we do not like.

They replaced all the windows and re-sided the house. They did an excellent job. The windows and the siding appear to be very good products. In addition, they look great.

Mark Fadely was very professional from our initial consult all the way through the project. He even offered helpful advice to us in making our decision (even if we chose not to go with Fadely). The crew was on time, polite, and did a great job on our home.

Mark Fadley is a really nice guy to work with. We had used him before and were confident that they would do a good job for us again. The crews were all very good. We especially appreciated that the roofing crew were easy to communicate with, they were very careful to cover everything up and did a great job cleaning up. They were all kind, considerate and conscientious workers. They were quick to follow up with any questions we had. It was a very positive experience.

This project was a positive experience. The team began on the gutters and soffets and then began replacing the windows. One of the windows from the factor was broken, but the team let us know and immediately went to order a replacement. We had an issue on the timing of the doors we had ordered. The door company lost the order therefore the doors did not arrive when we originally planned for them to. Mark was proactive in letting us know of the delay and he gave us several options. Once the doors arrived from the factory, they were installed within two days. I was impressed with the Company's professionalism and courtesy. I was also impressed with the crew that performed the work. They did such a good job of cleaning up, I couldn't even find a sample of the gutter to try to match paint for it! I would recommend this company.

We used Mark Fadley to replace windows in our previous home several years ago. We were extremely satisfied with the job Mr. Fadley did for us on the windows so we decided to contact him again regarding replacing a door in our new home. We knew before obtaining possession of our new home that the existing triple french door was in seriously bad condition with much rot resulting in mold growth and sill plate rot in our crawl space. Mark Fadley assured us that once the door arrived and was ready to be installed that his company would replace any additional rotted wood surrounding the door enclosure. Well, once the old door was removed we were all shocked at the amount of wood that needed to be replaced. We had no idea it was that bad. The installers who came had anticipated only being there for the morning, but ended up spending the entire day (much of which was on replacing all the bad wood). When Mark called us about the bill, I was fully expecting it to be much higher than the original quoted price due to the extra labor that was involved. However I was pleasantly surprised when Mark said he would honor the original estimate price even though I am sure his labor costs were well beyond what he was initially expecting. Mark is wonderful to work with and does extremely high quality work. We appreciate the job that he did for us and will use him again in the future without question.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish.

We were pleased with the results. The new patio doors are well designed and made and the installation went smoothly. The installers were on time and cleaned up afterwards. The job turned out a little more complicated than first imagined since they had to trim the frame into which the new doors sit. The rooms are much quieter now with the new doors in place and we anticipate being much more comfortable in summer and winter

This is the second time I have used Fadely Home Design. It went great this time too. Very good work done by the crew and Mark is great to work with.

After obtaining and comparing quotes from six 'A' rated Angie's List Contractors, Mark Fadely's quote was accepted. The order was placed on a Thursday, the work began on the next Monday in April '09. In addition to Angie's List, I relied on a friend of mine in the construction business who had observed work being done by the Fadely crew. He was impressed with their work. It has only been a month or so, but we are pleased with the work done on our home. We had one storm sense completion where I found some of our neighbors picking up pieces of siding from their home. Our siding remainded completely in tact and no leaks in the roofing was detected. So good so far. Mark and his crew were great to work with. I would use them again.

The men who installed the doors were very smart and did a great job. They cleaned up after being done. We had asked for very insulating door to keep the cold out. This doors they suggested and installed do a poor job and our room is colder than it was before, costing us a lot in wall heat.

The experience was great. Fadely's estimate was very competitive and I liked the product (Alside) that he recommended. The time frame for the instillation was also quicker than what other companies had quoted. A final nice touch was a phone call from the employee who installed the door. He called to ask if we had any problems with the door or the service that he provided.

Not just workmanship but the personnel as well. They are outstanding and exceptional in their field. I've never seen a better group of workers from any company ever. They even replaced some of the pieces of the back siding (that had been damaged by another contractor) to make the windows fit and look exceptional. They didn't charge anything for this additional service.

Everything went extremely well. From the time I initially called to get an estimate, the communication was outstanding. The entire job was done as agreed upon and everything looks great. Mark and his crew are all very professional and gave me a sense of confidence throughout the project. I have already started another project with them to work on my sun room! I would definitely recommend Fadely Home Design to anyone considering a project.

Mid summer we were shocked to see that some of the windows on our 17 year old house had rotted. We called Mark Fadely for an estimate, sure that he would be too expensive, given his excellent reputation for service and quality. However his estimate was very reasonable. The windows arrived about 2-3 weeks after we called Mark to do the work and were installed during 2 days. The installers were pleasant and neat in their work. I love my new windows! Not only do they look great and open so much easier, but this month's heating bill was a lot less than at this time in other years.

Very impressed with Mark, and his installers were awesome. This is THE company to call if you are sick of the chauvinistic window companies and hour-long sales pitches. Some companies would not give me an estimate without my husband present, Mark does not work this way. He sells, installs and stands by the one brand (Alside) and does not mark it up beyond reason. His installer even bought some white paint to touch up our trim when he noticed a few scratches. The windows are beautiful, energy efficient and were installed very nicely. They cleaned up all debris inside and out.

The siding replacement project was an excellent experience and Fadely Home Design was a great choice. Mark was more than willing to work with me on my home's little quirks, and followed through on what he promised. Both he and the siders were professional and courteous. The workmen did a wonderful job installing the siding. Debris was picked up and removed each evening before I arrived home. The gutters installed have a good pitch to the downspouts and are working well. I would highly recommend Fadely's, and have, to other neighbors.
