Josh is like a perfectionist, and all of his workers are good and it looked brand new!

It went very well. Mr. Devries and his crew helped me with a problem that I had in my basement too. Very professional and accommodating, I will use them again for indoor painting.

Overall, it was a great experience. This was the first time I've had to have a house painted, and though expensive, the crew did a fantastic job. Joshua Devries came out and helped us decide on the right colors for our house, within the scheme that my wife and I had determined. He also explained the quality of the products his crew used to caulk/repair/paint our house. The crew was polite and very professional.

Josh was fantastic and they are the best painters we have ever used!! Very detailed, efficient and clean!! I would highly recommend!! We will be using them again to paint one of our rooms in our new home!!

Joshua and his crew did an excellent job stripping wallpaper and painting the interior throughout this tri level home in Carmel built in 1973. They spent the time needed to prepare the walls for painting and did an excellent job throughout the home. They are a very professional, polite crew and clean up their work daily. Joshua made good suggestions for improvements including selection of paint colors. We would highly recommend Joshua for any painting projects.

Joshua and his crew did a beautiful job painting the whole interior of this beautiful 6000 square foot home in Carmel. Their attention to detail in the repair of cracking in crown molding and baseboards, preparation of walls for painting, and painting windows as needed resulted in a stunning update to this large home. Joshua and his crew identified issues missed at inspection bringing them to our attention and his crew was able to do all repairs. His assistance with color choices was extremely helpful in determining colors to be used throughout the home. Every one of the men on Joshua's crew is professional, hard working, polite and a pleasure to have in the home. Josh has painted our house several times. He always does quality work. Our house was very beat up with lots of holes in the wall.There were large holes. He has a great crew who always have excellent work. Josh is very professional. He has done work for us for years and we consider him a friend of the family.

Josh is friendly, and professional. He know his job! The wallpaper was an enormous job, but he and his crew did it. They fixed every spot that was rough, repaired every nail hole, and went way above what we expected. He explained why he had to do certain repairs. The crew kept everything clean and they were super nice guys. Plus, Josh is just fun to talk to! I will certainly use him in the future. He even picked up some paint for us to use in the rooms we are doing ourselves. No wonder he is so highly rated.

The paint job was great, but the communication was not good. They did good work, but I think there were some add-ons. We thought it was going to be around $6000, but there were more charges that were added.

Josh Devries does all he says he will do and more. He's priced fairly and exceeded any and all expectations I had. He has an eye for detail and nothing goes undone with him and his crew. They show up exactly when they say they will and are very clean and neat and tidy. Their paint job is fantastic and I'm a hard person to please. This is now my "go to" company for any of my painting or house repair needs. No need to keep looking for a reliable, courteous, thorough, detailed painter-this is the guy to call. He's in my contact list for good. Great job guys.

It went great from start to finish. We met with 5 "super service award" angieslist painters. Ultimately we felt most comfortable with Josh Devries. He had the experience and customer service skills we were looking for. The first thing that stood out was his promptness in scheduling an estimate with us. Second was the promptness in actually giving us the estimate. The other 4 painters we interviewed all took 2-3 days to return an estimate to us. While 2-3 days isn't very long, it also doesn't take very long to type one up and email it to us. I made all of them clear this "project" was really a trial in order to see if we would hire them to paint the rest of the house, yet still a delay. Maybe our 3600 sq ft "builder grade" painted house wasn't enough incentive for the other guys to move quickly. Josh asked a lot of questions about what we wanted and provided his professional opinion which is exactly what we were looking for. I felt like with the other guys, I was the one asking a ton of questions because they didn't want to share their process or knowledge. It all goes back to customer service for me and my wife. The end product was exactly what we were expecting, nothing shy of perfection. We had chosen a very difficult color to work with, dark blue. Dark colors tend to show every single imperfection and brush stroke and I can't find any. His crew did a fantastic job and we will definitely hire them again. We highly recommend these guys!

He was very professional in his advice and giving an estimate. However, he was unsure about painting an older home due to possible lead based paint issues. Recommend he get certified for this as it will limit his business in the future on exterior jobs.

Josh was a great service provider to work with. He promptly responded to my inquiry and scheduled a time to meet and go over our painting needs. He was very thorough about explaining what his service included and he also recommended changes we could make to improve the curb appeal of our house. We had not changed the paint color from the original color that we had had for almost 20 years and he explained that he could work with us to come up with a more updated look. He was also able to give us a price quote that day. After we signed our contract, he was able to schedule us in a timely manner. Prior to the painting, he came out to show us paint colors that he had and he even had some samples that he showed us on our house. His painting crew guys were very nice and they did a great job of painting and cleaning up the area when they were done. While they were prepping the house, they also noticed some areas where we had problems with some of our wood and siding, and they were able to repair those areas at a minimal additional cost before they painted. Josh was extremely thorough on his inspection of the painting and had them touch up any small issues that he noticed. Our house really ended up looking great. I would highly recommend them for painting!

Joshua was very professional and responsive. I was kept well informed about scheduling and status of the job once started, and he explained every step of the job completely. He recommended paint colors, and the final product looks great. I would definitely use this company again -- top notch service and quality of work.

Josh came by and gave us an estimate back in June and told us he was running about 3 months out on the work. Exactly three months later, he brought part of his crew over to repair damage to some of the windows and to reseal the horizontal surfaces on our deck. The window on the north side of our house had several large holes around it that a woodpecker had put into the siding. The crew removed the trim boards and found that the damage extended past the T1-11 into the plywood underneath. The removed the entire piece of siding and the plywood underneath and replaced both, then added a new trim board around the window. With caulk and painting, the siding looks pristine and you cannot tell there was ever any damage to the house. (The woodpeckers moved away after our neighbor removed the tree they had been nesting in so we shouldn't have any further problems.) They also redid the stain on all of the windowsills in the bedrooms upstairs. The existing stain had worn away and they managed a very good match to the remaining window casing. Furthermore, they touched up peeling paint on the exterior surfaces around the windows. This was peeling so now looks clean once more. The biggest job they performed was dealing with our large deck. They power washed the surface. Then came back and sealed it with deck stain. The vertical boards were still good for when they worked on it three years ago so we only focussed on the horizontal surfaces (built-in bench and deck). This is not the first time we have used DeVries Painting. We keep coming back because they do a good job and stand by their work. Josh goes out of his way to make sure his clients needs are served and the job is done properly.

There are just wonderful. They moved all the furniture before the job and put everything back perfectly. They cleaned up so well that you can't even tell anyone was in the house. Then he comes by after everything is complete to ensure that you are satisfied with the work.
