Joshua was very professional and thorough in both his initial estimate and in performing the job. He persisted in calling me back even though I was difficult to reach by phone. His crew was polite and informative, and they did an excellent job.

Great experience with this company. Would recommend them to anyone who wants quality painting.

Company, had over spray on exterior windows, exterior doors including antique copper hardware, missed large area of south exterior siding with finish paint. Contacted and spoke with owner, Joshua Devries concerning pending problems. Promised to have workers at site "next week." Has never shown up to repair spray over and complete south exterior siding. Has been paid in full; doesn't wish to complete job correctly.

DeVries painting staff was very punctual. They called and let us know when they were going to come, and they also called if they were running late. They estimated that it would take two days, and that is all the time it took to complete the job! We are very particular, and we were satisfied that our house was painted by professionals. Everything was cleaned up, and there was not a splash of paint anywhere that there shouldn't have been. When I noticed some paint on the rubber seal of an outside door, I pointed that out on our final walk-through with Joshua. He fixed that for me right on the spot. We got three estimates for this job, and they were all about the same. I relied on Angie's List members' comments to help us make a final decision of who to use. We were not disappointed, and we would not hesitate to use DeVries painting in the future.

It was very good. They were very agreeable. The crew finished the job in terrible heat. They did a great job.

From the point of first contact, we could tell Joshua took great pride in his work. When giving his estimate, he walked us around the house giving ideas and explaining his suggestions. This was in contrast to other contractors that just left an estimate in our mailbox. He and his crew showed up and worked when he said they would, and Joshua kept us informed throughout the project. They were neat and professional. Joshua discovered two windows that needed immediate attention on our 15 year old home. They did all the painting, except those two windows, and we paid them in full (which could have been a big mistake). After the windows were restored, Joshua was very prompt to come and paint them. We were hesitant about his suggestion of satin paint, but are very happy with the sheen it gives. Although Joshua's quote wasn't the cheapest we received, it wasn't the most expensive either. We are very pleased with the work DeVries Painting did for us.

Lovely paint job, thoroughly prepped (caulking and such) and this company was able to get us onto their schedule, much earlier than other painters contacted. The crew was large enough to get the job done much quicker, than I would have expected, despite the heat wave and a day lost to rain.

Job 1: Joshua and Luis continue to do outstanding work. The quality of their workmanship is in the effort they put into prepping surfaces. Much of our work involved spackling and sanding painted walls that had a cheap coat of paint slapped on to help sell the house. They found old wallpaper under the paint, removed it and smoothed all surfaces including drywall gouges and nailpops. The end result is first rate, not just cosmetically, but also under the surface. We know the work will hold up well over time because of their emphasis on prep work. Great quality and attention to detail for a price that is between the high and low ends of what others charge. Job 2: Very high quality effort. Results look great, we got more than we bargained for and cost was very reasonable. Prompt service and fast completion of work. Plus, the basement was cleaner after the work than before!

Joshua and his crew painted the whole house--impeccably--in only two days! We had never painted the house with contrasting siding and trim before, so Joshua contributed very patient and thoughtful artistic input. He even repainted trim areas for which we had initially chosen siding color, but which didn't look right once we had applied it. Several times a day, Joshua would take me around the house, pointing out progress and making suggestions. There were no drips or slop anywhere, and everything was cleaned up and touched up before the crew left. His mantra: "I want you to be completely happy with the job we do." We are.

I have an older home with double hung windows & they spray painted the windows so that the parts that are behind something did not get painted. When they removed wallpaper they left pieces of wallpaper stuck to the baseboard & just painted over it. There were places in corners where the wallpaper wasn't removed to which they responded it couldn't be removed. I felt they were in a rush & so there were details that weren't taken care of.

He actually gave me a price back in November for $175, but since I had him come back now (May) he kept the price at $175, which normally is $250-300. He is very efficient and quick. He does a good job cleaning up. He is just a very nice person and I enjoy having him in my home.

I have never had anyone work in my home with such a great work ethic. He is a true perfectionist, and we couldn't be happier with the work. He is not only professional, but also extremely likable as a person. He is focused on customer service, and it's backed up with good work. We can't say enough about him, and have asked him to put in a bid for a larger job for our condo association.

Joshua is an outstanding painter and businessman. He was very professional, showed up on time and called before he came. His family suffered a devastating loss right before he was scheduled to paint our home. Joshua called me to inform me he would be unable to come on our set date. Three days later Joshua did come and and finished our home by the end of the week. You can detect his dedication to his employees and his desire to please his customers.

John and his crew did an excellent job from beginning to end. He gave us a free estimate, fit us into his schedule quickly. He was on time, and his work was very neat and clean. The end result was completely to my satisfaction. I liked his work so much that I asked him to paint my bathroom as well and he was able to include this unplanned work the same day. I recommend him to all my friends.

Josh is amazingly efficient and an expert painter. He was very nice and above professional. He paid attention to details and made sure there was no mess. Additionally, he was a great help with the selection and recommendation of paint colors. I would use him again without any hesitation and would pay more to have him paint than take a chance on someone else.
