The contractor I called first, (Airtron) wanted to replace the whole thing, thousands of dollars. This is a good company. I will use them again in the future

As usual, they were punctual, reliable, honest in their approach and answered our questions very patiently.

I have only good things to say about Action Air Inc. Company. The people who came out were very personable. They came out and solved the problem. They installed the motor correctly. They were punctual. They did a good job. They made sure that everything was functioning well before they left. The air-conditioner is working fine since then. They were good people. I would use them again in the future.

Excellent service. Very comparable in price as well.

They are so responsive. They call me to let me know when it is time to come out which is very nice. I pay in advance so it's nice to know they are honest about still completing the work without being reminded. They are so polite and they do a great job.

They were good. They were customer service oriented and they did their job well. I have a service agreement with them, for maintenance of these units every two months.

I've been really happy with them, they were really responsive when I was using them. He kind of just looked at what I had and didn't go through a lengthy evaluation of my heating and cooling needs. He didn't ask questions about if I was comfortable or anything like that. They were great at coming out and providing the quote. He ran late one time but that was miscommunication on my part because he called before to let me know. They are very nice, courteous, and friendly. I just don't think they did a thorough evaluation of what my needs are.

We got the HVAC system form another company but Action Air, Inc was wonderful and I absolutely love them. We just got a cheaper quote from someone else. I think their service is great and I love the people that work there. I think they are friendly and comprehensive.

Installation went well but, had to replace themostat twice because the furnance would come on but, the heat wouldn't kick in for about 45 minutes, but not all the time. This went on for about 2-3 months (can't remember exact dates) and then we asked to invoke the contract to have the furnance removed of fixed by end of December 2010. They sent another technician and one of the owners came out and went through the furnance and I believe they found a faulty wire and we haven't had any problems since. Action Air was always prompt and courteous to us and wanted to make us happy.

They are punctual and friendly. I haven't had to use them for any actual repairs yet.

Action Air has been taking care of our air conditioning problems since May 2010. They worked very hard to keep our old system running, with as little expense to us as possible, until it became clear that it was impossible to keep it going. They did not at any time pressure us to buy new equipment but when we needed it they provided us with many options. Their service is exceptional. They did not like the way the new unit "sounded" on the first maintenance visit and they voluntarily put in a new part at no cost to us. Their office and service people are very pleasant and professional.

While I am only reporting on this most recent service, I have had Action Air maintain my furnace and heat pump for many years and have always been impressed with their service and professionalism. On this occasion, I had them come out to inspect my heat pump, which was not functioning normally. Bill, the technician, informed me that my compressor was dead and then proceeded to offer pricing on a replacement part. Because I am in the middle of selling my home, I did not choose service at this time as that will be the new homeowner's decision.

They were punctual and did a good job. We had some other issues and they came back quickly.

Went extremely well. Estimate was handled within a few days of my initial call. Salesman was very informative and not pushy which I liked. Installation was fine although it started about 2 hours late and cleanup could have been a little better. But overall very satisfied and would definitely use this company in the future.

They were very neat, professional and courteous. They were top of the line as far as what you might expect from a company like that. I was very impressed.

This all really started about 4years ago,when I had a top of the line furnace installed,for $7000.00,by a now out of business furnace company.It lasted for 2 years,then things started going wrong,wires were sparking the heat pump stopped working.I tried contacting the company but they were out of business.(the person who put in the furnace was truly a nice guy too) I tried Action Air.They were wonderful! They tried to fix the problems as they arose.Then I asked if I should keep fixing it,I could tell he didn't know how to tell me that the furnace was totally installed wrong,I guess you don't have to have any kind of training or license to install furnaces.I had been ripped off big time! The guys at action air were so nice,personable,and explained everything to me,even the owner came out to see if he could do anything to get this furnace to work. I had the furnace.a very nice one,it just wasn't installed right. Needless to say,I asked action air to install another furnace AND heat pump. They did and even sent in the paper work so I would get my $1,500.00 rebate,which I did get. As they were leaving for the last time,they suggested I join Angie's List,which I did that day. It has been 1 year now and I haven't had any problems.But if I did I know they would come right out and do a superb job fixing it. Elaine

I have used Action Air for heating and AC maintenance service for several years, so when our AC stopped working I called them. Their technician charged us only $29 for a service call as we are service club members and indicated the circuit board in the furnace was going out. He temporarily rewired the AC to the electronic air cleaner circuit to get the AC cooling again, and provided an estimate of $650 to replace the circuit board. He also explained that with a ten year old unit we might be better off replacing the furnace, particularly given the discounts available during the summer on furnace replacement and the tax credits which expire at the end of the year. They sent the technician back at a later date and he provided estimates on both Goodman and Lennox units. I called him several times with questions and he always returned my calls promptly. He recommended Goodman over Lennox, but indicated this was primarily related to periodic difficulty getting Lennox parts. He indicated his compensation was not impacted by the brand I selected. I did significant research on both units, as well as obtaining competitive quotes on Lennox and Rheem units, and ultimately decided to accept Action Air's proposal on a Lennox furnace. Though I was not present for the installation, they did show up on time and completed the install in a timely manner. When I returned home I noted a whistling coming out of the air cleaner, that the vent leading from the humidifier was disconnected from the duct work and that there were several areas where significant amounts of cool air was escaping from the seam where the furnace connected to the main duct above the unit. I called Action air the next morning and they were very apologetic for the quality of the installation. They had a service technician out by 10AM and fixed the problems to my satisfaction - the unit is now very quiet, as advertised, and appears to be cooling more efficiently than the old unit. There is slightly more noise at certain vents, but given the better cooling I don't see this as a significant issue. The new unit also comes with free service club membership for three years, a savings of $430 over what I was previously paying, and Action Air provided all the necessary paperwork for me to obtain a $220 rebate from Citizens gas and a total of $1,473 in federal and state tax credits (though they did not tell me about the state credit, I found that on my own). Net cost of the unit will be $2,900, with a ten year parts and labor warranty on the entire unit. At $2,200 over the cost of replacing only the circuit board this turned out to be a real bargain and a good recommendation on their part. Action Air also provides a variety of guarantees their competitors do not, including a two-year trial, so if for any reason we decide we want a different unit during this period they will remove the Lennox and refund our entire purchase price. It is unlikely we will take advantage of this guarantee, but it provides some peace of mind should we have problems and decide we made a bad choice.

It went very good. They were very good at explaining what they are going to do and different options. Very timely in their appointment and finishing the job. Excellent service.

It went fantastic. The tech they sent out was very friendly, knowledgable. It's a joy to see him come when he does come out.

Mark Simmons, the serviceman, showed up on time and appeared very competent and knowledgeable in conducting his work. He was polite and appropriately uniformed. My own experience includes U.S. Army training in refrigeration and air conditioning, as well as management positions in a capacitor manufacturing company and 2 years experience as a plumber's apprectice. I mention that experience specifically to indicate that my favorable judgment of Mr. Simmons' work is well-founded. His service truck was in good condition and had an attractive appearance. No major problems were found during his inspection. However, he did suggest that I might have a printed circuit board problem that had caused my a/c unit to hesitate in starting up two weeks ago. This start-up problem appears to be one that is intermittant because the a/c unit has worked perfectly for the past 2 weeks. By observing his work on the condensor unit, I am inclined to agree with him that the problem is not in the condensor unit and that I may have a printed circuit intermittant malfunction. But I will defer on replacing the circuit board until it may become necessary.

Turned on air conditioner for the 1st time this year. It turned on and ran for a short while, then stopped. I tried turning on furnace, nothing. I checked the fuses, all looked fine. All lights/outlets were working. Called Action Air, within less than 1 hour of my call Brian, the technician, called. He was on his way. I asked if there would be an add'l charge since it was around 7:00 p.m. No, no add'l charge. Brian agreed that all the fuses looked good but was able to troubleshoot the problem to confirm a fuse had blown. This was a very positive experience. I will definitely call Action Air again and will ask for Brian specifically. He was very efficient, professional and polite.

Action Air had installed new air conditioner and furnace a few years ago, and I had been having persistent trouble for the past 2 summers with coolant leaking from the air conditioning line. Action Air was very helpful and sent repairmen out to check all the equipment, both inside and out, and thought they had found and fixed the problem. They did the work at no cost, because the equipment was under warranty. They were ready to just replace the unit if necessary, but a senior technician came out and ran one more exhaustive test and found the actual source of the leak in a hard-to-get-to point in the line. It was repaired and has worked since then. Everyone was always patient, responded very quickly to my calls, and always accepted responsibility for finding the problem at no additional cost to me. Very professional techicians, and helpful/polite office staff.

Basically it all started when winter officially started and we had to start using the heater in the house. The unit had been serviced (by Action Air as well) the previous October as we're on their maintenance plan. Shortly after using the furnace we noticed a little squeaky noise, usually when the heat was starting to turn on. We didn't think much of it since we just started using the heat but it gradually became more and more noticeable. Eventually I decided it was bad enough that I had planned to call Action Air the next morning to make an appointment. Well, like clockwork, it failed later that evening. Eventually we smelled a burning smell throughout the house and I checked the furnace and sure enough, it was on, but no air was coming out. This was around 9 or 10pm. I called Action Air and their answering service took down my basic info and within the hour a technician had called me back. He was at a job on the south side of Indy and said he'd need about another hour there before he could head up to where we live. It was going to be close to midnight by the time he could start so I eventually called him back and said we would just tough it out for the night since he had to be up early the next morning for another job. He was definitely willing to come out that night, but we chose to get some sleep and let him do the same. He said the office would call me first thing in the morning and get someone else to come out as soon as possible. I chose to work from home that morning and sure enough, they called at had someone to the house by 9am and done replacing the blower motor by 10-10:30am. It was a cool 55 degrees by this point, but I only really had to deal with that for a couple of hours, so all was good. As mentioned earlier, we are on their maintenance plan, so our unit gets serviced twice a year and I don't do writeups for that, but they are always prompt, always polite, always wear the booties over their shoes, and while I think they can be expensive, I still give them an A for price because they are no more expensive than the other HVAC companies and because they typically don't try to oversell me on things.
