At The Affordable Companies, we had the pleasure of working with Tom Sur. He was knowledgable, professional, and knew the product line inside-and-out. In addition, this company has several model kitchens on their design floor to help customers visualize what a completed project will look like. Tom explained how long the order process would take, and within that time parameter, our back splash was ready to be installed. The team of installers arrived promptly, worked diligently, and even cleaned up after themselves. They even wiped up my hardwood floors prior to leaving for the day! The back splashes were installed in a meticulous fashion and are a beautiful addition to my home. My husband and I were 100% pleased with the quality workmanship this company offered. I will definitely use them again when I'm ready to order a custom made kitchen table with a granite top.

Initial I was trying to obtain the same laminate that was in my kitchen to also put in my family room. I found out the manufacturer discontinued in Jan 2011. I was working with the rep at Affordable who was working with the mfr rep to see if we could get the flooring. They came back that it was not available. However, I did find it at distributor through the internet so I ordered the flooring and had it delivered to my home. The cost from the distributor was $700. Affordable wanted to charge me $1000 to install the flooring my family room. We negotiated on price and they did it for a lot less. They also installed another laminate in my lower level. The flooring looks great. Some of the things I was not happy with was that they left no flooring for either the lower level or upper level in case I needed to replace a piece. I was told they used it all and didn't have any left which I don't buy. Also, one of the works scuffed my newly painted walls and I had to clean up after them. Other than that they did a good job.

The young man who showed up was in a terrific hurry. He had no suggestions. I don't think he had ever worked on a site and was just an estimator. He had no idea what I wanted or the products I wanted to use. He took measurements, chatted a minute and then headed out. I got no idea what to expect, if he knew what I wanted, how this was going to be done by this company, I had no clue about anything. I got an estimate several days later with items on the remodel list that I had not wanted and items that had not even been discussed. I was very, very disappointed in this company. I got 4 estimates on this job. Their estimate was 2000.00 ABOVE all the other estimates I got. I would never use this company and would never recommend them. Also, maybe it was me, but I could not get good directions for their showroom in Carmel and after an hour attempt was never able to get there and turned around and went home. The whole experience was very poor.

We had existing custom cabinets in nice condition, hardwood floors and granite countertops. However the kitchen was very dark with very little artificial or natural light. It definitely had the look of the 1980's with original appliances! Our goals were to improve lighting, open up the space and make the space appear modern. Initially, Joe Evans from Affordable visited our home to see the kitchen and hear our goals. He listened to our priorities and budget and immediately made several recommendations that saved a great deal of money from the start. After we worked through the basic parts of the project, we met Joe at the showroom to select the finishes. We appreciated Joe's low key, non-assertive way of working with us through our decisions.My husband travels a great deal and Joe was very flexible with our crazy work schedules. Our project involved many subs- plumber, electrician, existing granite had to be cut for new cook top, demo and drywall, rebuild of 2 existing cabinets required finish carpenter, tile layer. About a week before construction was scheduled to start, we decided to replace the window and sliding glass door. Affordable made sure it worked into the project and coordinated all of the skilled laborers. As with any construction project, a few surprises arose but Affordable dealt with all of them and they made them all seamless to us. The job site including the garage were left neat and tidy each day. They came on time each day and completed the project on time. All together the project took 3 weeks. Paul was our on site project manager and his attention to detail was incredible. There was not a need for a punch list because everything was attended to before I could possibly raise a concern.Joe also made helpful recommendations for appliance sales and lighting companies.All phone calls were returned quickly and I was always made to feel like they had all the time in the world to discuss aspects of the project. Paul kept me updated a couple of times a week. We had quotes from 3 other companies and we are so glad we chose Affordable and will use them again.

It was a very positive experience. They gave me several options to stay within my budget and gave me good recommendations for things to do in the kitchen. The actual remodel itself went pretty smoothly, which does not always happen and takes longer, but that was all pretty smooth. It was pretty easy for redoing the kitchen. I spent about $7000 on that service.

We researched different kitchen design companies from Angie's List and had three come out to give us estimates of cost. We decided on Affordable Kitchens not only for the cost but we felt like we could work with Joe and the other people from Affordable the best. The process did take time to get the details all sorted out but Joe and his team were great about listening to what we wanted. It took about six weeks from start to finish and now we have the Kitchen of our dreams!! We found their employees to be very friendly and willing to answer our endless questions. They were very professional and cleaned up at the end of each day. The difference between our old kitchen and our new kitchen is truly amazing!! When we are ready to finish the updating of our bathrooms, we will definitely be consulting Affordable for their ideas.

I called to schedule the in-home quote. The individual I spoke to was very professional. The professional who came to my home was on time, took some measurements, and provided a quote within the next few days. We had discussed the quote being detailed with unit prices and quantities so I could pick and choose what I wanted; however it was not like that and unfortunately the quote was out of my price-range, so I did not choose to work with this Contractor at this time.

I went to three firms to bid on a kitchen remodel. Carlie was prompt, responsive, creative and complete. She had a detailed estimate of the job. Another plus for Affordable Kitchens and Baths is that they have a showroom in which you can see samples together. As it turned out, our remodel was fairly simple so we went with a less expensive firm - recognizing that - had we needed more design services, we would have been better served by Affordable Kitchens and Baths.

I think they were very good. I had a young lady come out and we discussed. She helped us work out plans and gave us some ideas. The estimate was in our ballpark. We haven't done it yet but we thought we'll process the same. We had a great interaction but I don't know what their work will be like. Their responsiveness was very good and they were very timely.

With any remodel patience is the key word. From start to finish it took 5 months. The project manager was great and very responsive to any questions I had. They were able to do all that I asked and made sure I was satisfied with the job done. The company made making my choices very easy. My new kitchen is beautiful!

He was very honest. He recommended someone else for me and they did a great job.

We haven’t done the work yet as we have pushed it out a little bit. We weren’t really impressed with their responsive as they took really long time to get the quote out. Other than that overall their quote was very thorough.

The experience was good. We met twice. They were professional, courteous, but a little pricey.

I didn’t spend any money. They were fine. Joe Evans, the main guy was friendly. We had a couple of questions that they weren’t responsive to as the other companies. So, we went with somebody else. I would probably not use their services again.

Very impressed with Affordable from start to finish. Thought their pricing was in line with other quotes we had received. Really impressed with their showroom and the website that gave a beginners guide to remodeling and questions to ask. Very informative and helped make our decision. Was in touch with Joe Evans from the beginning and he worked to make sure our thoughts and ideas would work. Very helpful in the decision making process and chimed in when necessary. Examples in their showroom were very helpful as well. Joe always kept us up to date with photos or descriptions of fixtures we picked, etc. Contractor crew was great as well. Did a great job preparing the house for the demo work. The tile work done in the master was amazing. Turned out better than expected. Paul Hittle did a great job communicating with us (as well as the crew) when items would pop up or they had a question before they went further. Would not hesitate to recommend them to any friend or family member. Will be the first call I make on any project going forward.

Overall, the job went well. I used them last year this time. Initially I thought I liked the salesperson but I ended up not liking the salesperson because he lied. He is not there anymore. I had him come out and replace a showerhead that I had ordered. The salesperson didn’t listen to me. He put the wrong one up and I lived with that for a few months and in January I had him come out and put a different one. The salesperson is gone. They gave me a discount of 25% because the salesman had not listened to me in the first place. They were very prompt and everything was wonderful. I had no problem with them at all. They took care of everything. I paid $457 which included the cost of the showerhead plus installation. It was reasonable. They were prompt and they did what they said they were going to do and in the time they said they were going to do. I did not have any problem. I would use them again in the future.

They were fast and good. For me the pricing was fine. They were very good. They did exactly what I needed them to do. In the end, they rendered it out. I would consider them for another quote in the future.

The project went very smoothly. Three different subcontractors were used and they all did a superb job. The project supervisor, Paul Hittle, did an outstanding job or coordinating the project and overseeing the work of the subcontractors. He made absolutely certain that no shortcuts were taken. I have been involved in several construction projects and I have never had one go as smoothly as this one.

. The finish product was very nice. But there were some glitches in handling it. In the first place they were late getting here which had created some inconveniences. . They brought out a piece of back splash that surrounds the sink and it had a flaw. This was not their fault. So they could not finish the work in one day and they had to wait three or four days before they could get a good fit. Then they came and they were in a kind of conflict time wise with Peter who ended up doing the corking after the installation and there has been the discussion that whoever gets done first does the corking. It ended up saying that it is not their fault that the piece of granite had stuff. There were delays. So we did not use the sink that came as a package with the deal. They had some glitches in getting the old sink installed back in properly. They had gone off the job a little early and did .not that the man would be having the trouble time unscrewing the drain pipe from the cork that holds the drain whole gasket because it was as old as the house it was stuck. They were there in the house when I came home from work hoping to get dinner started and the sink was all dismantled. We were little less thrilled. We were doing some things that were a little bit non standard granted. It is one of those that just happen. I don?t hold it against them entirely. On the other hand I do wish they had got in here on time the morning when they come. Then perhaps we could have resolved some of this instead of 5 O ?clock in the afternoon which is not a great time to resolve these problems. They could improve on their timeliness I would say in their start time.. At least keep two guys on the job till they know they are out of the woods and finished. I guess our kind of job is small when compared to the other big ones. They were not unpleasant or anything. The finished products look very pretty. I am not certain whether we would use this company in the future. Punctuality was an issue.

Mike McGuire from Affordable Kitchens was helpful in suggesting tile selections for the backsplash. We were able to check out sample tile to take come. Mike came out to measure the space in the kitchen. Roberto, the tile installer, did a fantastic job. He is a true craftsman. The backsplash looks great. It improved the look of our kitchen.

I needed far more than just a kitchen update. Plumbing issues, leaks, tile and carpet replacement, exterior wood rot, and the list goes on. Since my main focus was on the kitchen I researched kitchen remodelers who also did handy man services. I requested a quote from three companies and selected Affordable Kitchens and Baths. They listened and understood just what I wanted to do. I'm a perfectionist and they exceeded my expectations. I was extremely impressed with the installers who did the floors and the kitchen backsplash. They were perfect! Before I started this project I was ready to put my home on the market. Now, I can't wait to come home and enjoy it. Thanks to Joe and Ryan!

I decided not to use them because it was not going to be a complete remediation. They were not here long enough to give proper feedback. They did show up on time.
