I originated the request for a quote using Brackets web site "contact us". Within 1 day I was contacted by phone by a friendly voice and an appointment set up at my residence the following day. Bryce Brackett showed up punctually and did a great job of first listening to my thoughts and then assessing my HVAC requirements. Bryce was very supportive of my wishes to not go with "all the most expensive bells&whistles" in a new system. He proposed a very affordable system that also qualified for all of the gas/electric as well as the government tax rebates. I then used his basic proposal as a benchmark to obtain 3 additional quotes from competitors. Brackett's proposal was the best value for me and Bryce confirmed an appointment to my date request. I was not pressured to go with either an earlier or later date. On installation day, Greg and his co-worker showed up just a few minutes late as I am pretty far out in the country. Greg immediately introduced himself, shook my hand and asked that I show him the best way to get to the install site. After a mutual understanding of the work to be performed, Greg & co-worker immediately went to work and I left the job site. I returned a couple of hours later and was amazed at the progress that they had made. I was also impressed that Greg had held up on a couple of items so that he could explain options and get my buy-in before making permanent. After 4-5 hours, the install was complete! The workers cleaned up everything and hauled off my unwanted AC unit as well as even moving the still good furnace out to my pole barn for future use. Greg then spent time going over and explaining all of the already prepared paperwork for my rebates....there was no "we will get the info later" that I have had happen with other places regarding rebates. I was (and still am somewhat) concerned about using an "out-of-town" service for something as critical as HVAC. Unexpected equipment problems down the road "could" cause issues due to proximity. However, Bryce ensured me that Bracketts 24 hr service response is the best and I feel like if the follow-up service matches the installation then I should have nothing to worry about. Looking forward to staying cool this summer!!! I will definitely use Brackett in the future as well as highly recommend them as a great value with a great product! Everyone was professional and courteous.

Overall the serviceman's attitude and ability were the champions of the day. Although I do not remember his name, I am sure it is in Brackett's records for that date and time. Kudos to Brackett's for having such an outstanding employee. He is THE reason I would consider Brackett's again.

Service technician arrived as scheduled. He was friendly and performed a thorough inspection... he even discovered an error made by the original installers regarding the filter door! I continue to use Brackett Heating & Air Conditioning to perform my annual a/c and furnace services (last service was 11/12/2013). The service technicians arrive as scheduled and always wear shoe covers when inside my house (very important to me!). I recommend Brackett for HVAC services.

Installation very successful. Came back and looked for leaks and added return insulation. Sealed cracks and leaks in attic to make sure everything would be perfect. Has called weekly to make sure everything was working as it should. I would recommend this company highly. Everything was as it should be. I wish all services were this thoughtful and considerate!

They were excellent. They cleaned up after themselves and did the job in a very timely manner.

They were fine, and they were prompt. I went with somebody else, so I would not be using them again in the future.

The reason I decided not to have the service from them is that the company I work for offers a rebate if I buy another brand, and the other brand offered me a better deal plus a rebate. I have no problems with Brackett. They answered my questions, they came to the house and were very nice. I compared them with 5 others and their prices were right in line with everybody else, except for the rebate. They talked about other providers and I didn’t like that because I don't care when people talk about other providers. If the opportunity arose in the future, then I would use them.

We've used them in the past and they have done installations in other houses for us. They are an old company that has been around for a long time. They are very reputable. This experience was excellent.

Six years ago, I bought a complete system from them. They answered all my questions and walked me through everything. They explained everything what they were doing. The air conditioning system was working fine. In general, they gave me pointers, if you were doing construction in the house, to protect the filters extra and to keep the drywall dust out of the ductwork. They were very prompt and courteous. I would use their services in the future; they are the one’s I would call.

They check our system twice yearly. They are very user friendly and tell you when they are coming. I really like them and recommend them. When we had a major flood in our house they came right away and put a new furnace and water heater in. I am very impressed with that group and will use them again in the future.

We are satisfied with them. We always find their people to be very courteous and nice to talk to. When they replaced the control system, they sent a guy out for the inspection, and they didn't charge for the trip. It was very nice. I don't have anything to compare with their price.

met the Brackett crew at a home show. I knew I needed to eventually replace these units but did not anticpate doing it this year. However, the energy tax credits and the manufacturers rebates certainly accelerated my timeline. I spoke to several different contractors, did some research, asked around. I scheduled an a discovery/proposal appointment and in a nutshell, signed the deal a week later with intallation scheduled for the following week. Fortunately, there were no surprises and the installation team went above and beyond by running my drain line into my main since I mentioned to them that I was having issues with it flowing over the past two years and . . . while doing that, they also inspected my ductwork and sealed it in a few places. Of course, I rate their customer service attitude as outstanding.

Price quote was very good. Promised to set up new duct and indicated that duct could be routed through closet corners to get to attic. Suggested that this would be relatively easy to do and would solve ventilation problems in old house. Arrived on time. Tear out of old units went well. Installation of new outside unit went well. Installation of new inside unit somewhat slowed as technician had to figure out how to set it up and company supplied programmable thermostat DOES NOT take advantage of variable speed blower in furnace. Arm twisting to route duct in way most easy for technician - may or may not have been better for me, the customer. Size of duct (diameter) MUCH larger than expected. Technicians lacked all tools necessary and some know-how to cut holes to allow routing of duct. I did some of the work myself. Technicians were friendly and very skilled at the things that they did do but I felt blind sided by the size of the duct and their inexperience with plaster walls plus their lack of a drywall router/spiral cutter to make clean cuts. I also ended up doing much of the plaster cleanup and they did not do any of the work to box in or cover the exposed flex duct running through the corners of the closets. I still have not done this work as I need to do it myself. The ducts feed registers that help SOMEWHAT with the cooling of the upstairs but are not, by any means, a total solution.
