Gregory's Appliance Service

The service was fabulous. They fixed a loose screw and cleaned the dryer up. One technician came out and completed the job in a few minutes. He was very professional. I had no problem scheduling the service.

They were prompt to schedule and showed up in the window of time they had stated. He diagnosed the problem, got the dishwasher running temporarily, and returned to replace the part. Polite, punctual and gave me some helpful advice.

The problem was that two brads were lodged in the disposal making it unable to rotate. Mr. Gregory found them and removed them. Also, Mr. Gregory installed a lipped connector pipe and tightened some other draining connectors ensuring long term performance without further incident. I really appreciate Mr. Gregory's professionalism and punctuality. It was indeed a pleasure to work with him. I highly recommend him.

They were very quick to respond. I called at 9am and they were at our house by 11am. They were very honest and suggested that disconnecting the power to the dispenser would be better than doing the actual repair, as the part is overpriced and it would not be worth it with the age of our refrigerator. They also gave me several tips on what to look for in a new refrigerator based on the unique placement of our refrigerator in our kitchen. Very friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated their honesty.

Great experience. I called for help in the afternoon and the technician arrived later that same day. He attempted to repair our original unit and helped us to understand all of our options for repair/replacement. He was very patient and was able to complete the job in a little over an hour. We would definitely use their services again.

See above. I was charged another service call $69 because it was over 30 days since the last call and $ 40 for technical time plus tax. It was an expensive repair! I would only invite them back if their repair didn't fix the stove within the 30 days of this last visit so I wouldn't have to pay another service call fee.

The filter was replaced which improved the water dispenser function but was told ice maker not working and needed to be replaced. Quoted price for replacement but did not want to spend $400 on 8 year old refrigerator. Declined replacement of ice maker but required to pay $130 for filter and service call (service fee plus service time). After company left, ice maker began making ice and is still working. Don't know how long the ice maker will last but did not need to replace. Employees were friendly and explained things but were incorrect about the ice maker not working and needing replaced.

Our ice maker wasn't working, so we called these good people. Turns out someone had accidently turned down the thermostat inside the refigerator-problem solved!!! He also gave us some information regarding our microwave.

Dryer drum not turning. Appliance was repaired quickly and completely cleaned of all lint.

Before replacing a part, he tried cleaning it. Worked fine afterwards. He was willing to come back with the part if I had any more issues without having to repay the service call.

Called before he arrived to let me know he was on his way. Arrived and went right to work. My oven was not cooking properly so he checked the temperature gauge and recognized that it needed to be adjusted. He explained how the temperature works inside the oven which was very helpful to me. He also checked my dryer as it had smelled like it was burning. He advised that it would probably cost more to fix it than to just go purchase a new one. I appreciated his professional opinion and that he did not just try to get me to fix it so that he could make the money off of it. I played a little phone tag trying to get scheduled but as soon as I was able to get on the phone with them they scheduled the next day. I would definitely use this local company again.

Very impressed with their company! Had an issue with my hot tub that they quickly diagnosed. They were very friendly and on-time. Thanks for the great service! Will use again in the future.

Arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad thermocouple for the water temperature control. He replaced it and was quickly on his way. Very professional and courteous. No further problems with the dishwasher.

The repair technician explained what was wrong and repaired it promptly. I asked him if he works on very small dishwashers and explained a problem we had been having. He called his office, found the part number, and offered to repair the dishwasher on another visit--and not charge the service call fee- if we sheduled it in 30 days. I probably will.

He arrived on time. Was tidy and presentable. Did his job and was out quickly without a lot of unnecessary visiting. I would definitely recommend him to others.

.I called on Labor Day, and will told they would call first thing Tuesday to schedule. I had to call @0830 and then wait for a call back. Tech was skilled and courteous. I would have appreciated more rapid responce from the office

My refrigerator went out. Called Gregory's and within a few hours a service tech was at our house. In 45 minutes my refrigerator was fixed. Very nice technician. Very professional. I would use them again.

Our gas dryer was only heating intermittently, so it would take hours to dry a load of clothes. I called on Friday, they came on Monday and had a new coil installed within a half hour. The price was good considering it included the part, labor and Gregory's was 30 miles away. The technician explained the problem, too. I would definitely call them again.

Polite, punctual and efficient!

First time using Angie's List, so excited to have all the info at my finger tips....was so excited to be able to find a provider that I might not know about. Found Gregory's and was excited that it was a smaller company....my husband & I believe in supporting family-run businesses. Also, happy to find recent reviews and good reviews....so gave them a call on Monday, 06.24.13. Couldn't fit me in til the next day but I told the woman that took the calls that it was the 3rd time that this has happened (yes, crappy GE oven) gave her the info off of our instruction manual and told her that it was the starter on the oven that had gone out. She corrected me and told me it had to be the ignitor not the starter....I agreed and told her that it was my understanding that this was, unfortunately, a problem w/this type of gas oven. Representative called me before getting to my house and told me he would meet me at 2 PM at my house. I got to my house, let him and told him what was wrong with my oven. He proceeded to run a diagnostic on my oven, took the whole thing apart and 20 minutes told me, "Yep, it's the ignitor and I don't have the part in my truck." I can't believe to tell you how frustrated I was. I could understand if I didn't provide them with the info the prior day or if I didn't know what was wrong w/my oven but I had provided all this information. It didn't help that I am an hourly employee and had to leave work to be told that he couldn't fix the issue. He DID tell me that he came w/3 ignitors but he didn't know which one he'd need until he got to my house. He came today to complete the work. I think he knew that I was unhappy b/c he was not friendly or talkative when he got to my house. Once he completed the work, I asked him if he would be charging me for the previous days' work (which let me make clear, I understand it is an hourly type of job. I understand that there are times you may need thing fixed and they don't have the part but I TOLD them the make and model and the issue....and he showed up w/o the ability to do the job. Plus, as I said, third time this has happened and first time someone hasn't had what they've needed when I've told them the problem and the make and model.) He told me that of course he had to charge me because he had to run a diagnostic and tell me what was wrong with the oven. I knew what was wrong with the oven. I also told him that I was surprised when he said he didn't have the right ignitor b/c I had given the info to the person making the appointments the day before. He told me that I hadn't....I showed him the instruction manual and said this is the info that I provided. And he told me that the info I provided gives them no info at all and he needed the serial number. He also told me that the person taking the calls (his wife) wouldn't know what info would be necessary for the visit so I couldn't blame her for not providing him with the correct info. He then said that it would have been the same amount had he come the day before and I said, "You're charging me for an hour when the time really took you no more than half an hour." And he told me that it would have taken him an hour anyway. When I pointed out that taking apart the oven the day prior was 20 minutes and today's time was 30 minutes....only 10 more minutes to take out the old ignitor and put in the new one...he didn't have an answer. The labor charge should have only been half an hour if had shown up with the part. And like I told him, if the info I provided wasn't enough for him to do the job, they needed to ask the right problems. The other thing that irked me is when I told him that I had to take 2 hours from work for them not being prepared, he told me that my kids were home yesterday...they could have handled it....no need for an adult to be here. My oldest is nearly 14....I'm sorry....he may be old enough to watch his siblings for a couple hours in the afternoon...but there is no way I'm goin

Our washing machine stopped draining on Sunday. Monday morning my wife called Gregory's appliance and they had a repairman at our house by 3:00pm. She said he diagnosed the problem (pump), showed her the broken pump and had it repaired and leveled the washer in an hour. She the repairman was very professional and cleaned up very well after himself.

Technician/owner came on a Tuesday to determine what repairs were needed; oredered parts; came back Thursday morning and installed parts. He was punctual both times; called before coming to the house, did a quality job in quick time and charge was very reasonable.

He was very professional and courteous and I will use them again when needed.

I called several appliance repair places recommended on Angie's List, Gregory's was able to come soonest. When I explained my schedule had changed and couldn't be home when they were initially scheduled to come, Walter arrived early during his lunch hour. He quickly found and fixed the minor problem in the dryer and was able to repair the motor for the jets in the tub rather than the more expensive replacement I had expected. While working on these he offered some good advice for maintenance on the tub, dryer, and washing machine.
