They came out and gave us an estimate. We had a garage door and opener with key pad installed. GREAT Company to word with.

Heard loud bang in house the night before during a real cold spell, did not think much of it. Looked around the house did not notice anything unusual then went to sleep. Next morning went to open the garage door and it went up 2 inches and stopped, then looked up and saw the spring had snapped in half on one side. Checked Angies list and gave them a call and the rest is history.

Upon calling, the receptionist told me that they were very booked and I wouldn't be able to get an appointment for about 2 weeks which was fine. I figured that since they do great work it would be worth the wait. I was then told that they don't do free estimates! Seriously??

Bob from Higgins installed a new garage door opener, outside keypad and floor sensors in our garage. Job well done!

The over all experience was excellent. The receptionist i spoke to was friendly and was prompt to call back with status updates regarding the arrival date/time of the repair specialist. The person that came out to fix my door was equally professional and the job was completed very quickly. The person took some extra time to cover basic maintenance tips to extend the life of this newly installed component.

Everything went great. Very quick repair, yet still took time to lubricate (complimentary) both garage doors and answer questions. This company is now my new garage door company. Thanks! …much more refreshing than their competitor who never even returned my phone call.

Service was excellent. They did the job as expected and were very professional.

He came to our house and brought pictures and discussed the different doors. We selected a simple one without windows. He said we would have to clear an area for him to work. Our garage was full of junk. The man came to install it the next week, as agreed and said the clearance I gave him to work was fine. We had not known if the lifter would work, in case we would need a new lifter, but it worked, which saved us some money.

The garage door was old modeled and it was installed a long time ago and the train signals were interfering. The newer models don't have such problems. So they installed new garage doors and it is working fine. I had to call them out once unnecessary as the power went out and I thought that it was the garage door that went out. We are very satisfied with them as our service provider. I will use their service in the future and I would recommend them to others.

I called for an estimate on a Friday. They came that day, gave an estimate, I accepted and they installed it on Monday, just before a huge snowstorm hit us. Door has been working beautifully.

I called at 8:15am having discovered the motor was not going off after the door was opened because the power was so decreased that the door was not going up fast enough to engage the brake mechanism. Beth answered and said they did not stock parts for "Overhead Door" brand but could replace the motor with Chamberlain. I didn't know if it needed repair or replacing but decided, since I knew it was original with the house, that one repair would probably lead to another eventually. When she quoted the price for the new unit, installed, it sounded fair to me. Most important, it was a Friday and she agreed that the technician could do the installation that day. She called back when he was on his way and, from the time he arrived, the technician was all business. He finished within about an hour and took away all the bits and pieces of the opener he removed (he was absolutely amazed that the opener and the ancient remotes were still working).

The young man from Higgins arrived promptly, and within an hour had the part replaced and the door opening and closing smoothly.

Serviceman was very thorough, quick, and courteous. I highly recommend them!

I called Higgins Overhead door when I received a panic phone call from my mother while I was out of town. Higgins responded promptly the very next morning (and arrived early). The repair was completed in less than an half hour and the door now works better than it has since my father installed it over 10 years ago.

We were very happy with them. We thought they did a great job and we have not had any problems. Everything works as it should. We thought the price was very reasonable and fair. Several of our neighbors have also used this company and the price was consistent with what they paid. We would recommend them to others.

HIGGINS OVERHEAD DOOR IS A VERY YOUNG COMPANY, AND THE OWNER IS VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT THE PEOPLE HE EMPLOYS. I KNOW THAT HE HAS WENT THROUGH A LOT OF HELP ALREADY BECAUSE HE WANTS THE BEST.

IT LOOKS GOOD. IT STILL WORKS GREAT AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT SO FAR. THE PEOPLE WHO INSTALLED IT WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND I NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLES WITH THEM.
