The exterior of all of our windows of our 1947 home needed to be reglazed and repainted. Joe responded to my call, scheduled a meeting, and came out promptly to look over the job and give me a quote. He was able to do the work on a timely basis (he had two jobs ahead of mine) and when he started the job he was able to complete it quickly and efficiently. He removed the storm windows and awnings in order to get to the windows on the house. He glazed the windows, and put two coats of paint on the windows before he put the storm windows back. Now our windows look good as new! Joe also painted some exterior trim on the front of the house, and scraped and painted the railings and front stairs which had been previously painted and in desperate need of fresh paint. Joe has really enhanced the curb appeal of our house!

They did an excellent job with good attention to detail. They had the equipment they needed. They were courteous, responsive and adaptable. There were delays due to weather, but they managed to finish when we needed them to. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

When I contacted Express Paint about a quote for power washing and staining my deck, Joe arrived the next day, surveyed the work site and left a color brochure. He called the next day to give me his schedule we set up a time and when I came home it was like my house had been transformed from dirty and total insect haven, to sparkling and pristine. The deck which had about 10 years of dirt, algae and remnants of old stains looked like a fresh brand new deck. Everything was glowing and shining. 4 days later, amid other workers on a different project, the heat and the air show, Joe and his team applied-with great precision-my chosen deck colors. The whole house now looks spectacular!

Joe returned my telephone call within 10 minutes of leaving a message. I called 4 contractors to estimate my house. I was very nervous about having to hire a contractor. Joe came out within 48 hours of my call and walked the entire house with me. His knowledge showed right away as we walked the property and talked. He explained the difference in paint and stains as well as manufacturers and warranties. He explained the things he does differently compared to other contractors. How he caulks all the windows, doors trim etc anywhere it is needed or how he protects the bushes from damage while working. The part I was glad to hear was how he covers all electrical boxes, outlets, phone boxes, AC unit, cable box and gas meter so they remain their original colors. Who wants their utilities painted the same color as their siding? The best part was he didn't even bat an eye when my wife explained she wanted to use three different colors on the house. I interviewed 1 contractor before and 2 other contractors after Joe. He was the only one to follow up with me after submitting his bid. It was like the other guys could care less if I chose them or not. That was the final factor in my decision to hire him. His work speaks for itself! He began by washing the exterior of the house. He then applied the first coat on the siding. After completely covering all the siding, he went back an applied the second coat on the siding. I could not find a single window or trim board that he didn't caulk around. After finishing the siding they moved on to all the trim. Outside corners, inside corners, gables, ban boards, frieze boards, window trim, door trim, everything was caulked and painted 2 coats by hand. The lines where the siding meets the trim are perfect! The final step was painting the 2 garage doors and our garage service door. This again was painted 2 coats and it was a third color. The last step was cleaning up and making sure I was 100% satisfied with his work. Joe is a hands on businessman/owner. He performs the actual work and educates his guys if they do something that he feels they can do better. He is polite, prompt, dependable and careful with your property. He is considerate of children, pets, plants and neighbors that approach him asking for estimates. The property was spotless when he left and throughout the entire project he continually asked how we liked it. His concern is genuine and his pride in his work shows throughout. I will use him again for all my interior and exterior painting needs!! A++

I called Joe on Wednesday and he returned my call within 20 minutes (I love that). I told him what I wanted done and asked him for a price which I thought was too high so he lowered it by $50 (I love that, too). He came out the very next day and in the time frame he said he would. He did a meticulous job pressure washing our driveway. I was very pleased with the results.

The guy was really professional. He knew his work pretty good. The price was good. They were prompt and on time and they did what they said they were going to do.

Joe gave us an estimate within a day or two of our calling and performed the work immediately upon coming to an agreement on the job. He was courteous and professional throughout, and did an excellent job on the work agreed upon. Although we had some trepidation based upon a prior review here on Angie's list, we were very pleased with Joe's courtesy, professionalism, attention to detail, and the quality of the work performed.

I am quite upset at the professionalism of this contractor. We had initially found him on this list and contacted him in order to have painting done on the home. He informed us that the price would be $2600 and we immediately asked him if he was licensed and bonded. He told us that he was. We waited for him to show up on the arranged day and he never did. We later found out that he has no licensed and this is probably the reason why. I will not use his services and I cannot recommend him.

This is a small outfit--just two guys who have been in business for a long time and work together well. Joe Soto doesn't hire strangers; he and his partner did exactly what they promised, and did a meticulous and very precise job for us. We were very satisfied.

I THINK THAT THEIR PRICE IS PRETTY REASONABLE. THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED. THEY COMPLETED THE JOB IN TWO DAYS. THEY MADE SURE TO FIND THE EXACT COLOR OF PAINT THAT I WANTED.

THESE GUYS DID AN EXCELLENT JOB PAINTING MY HOUSE. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WENT STRAIGHT TO WORK. THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED.
