Todd is a very professional, polite, honest and reliable contractor. The two gentlemen he had working in my home were terrific. They were quiet, respectful, and very kind to my children and dog. They worked efficiently, and with great care and attention to detail. My home looks new again! The colors Todd helped me select are perfect! I could NOT be happier with The Painting Edge and I will definitely use their services again. To use a term from previous experience with The Disney Company. They ABSOLUTELY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!

I would say that their work product was excellent. They also took care of damage to our drywall that occurred after countertops had been put in at no cost.

Todd Cartmel was prompt in returning my initial phone call to inquire about our basement. He assured me that his company could do the job and we made an appointment for Todd to look at the basement. Todd showed up on time and provided us with the estimate later that same day. Todd was extremely patient when our insurance company became difficult to work with. He was able to work our basement into his schedule without delay. The work was completed professionally on the day and time agreed upon. We were very pleased with the painting that was done and with the exception of a fresh coat of paint, you would have never known that there had been anyone in the basement that day. Todd returned the same day to check the work that his team had done and to make sure that I was pleased with the results. We could not be happier with the work from The Painting Edge and with Todd Cartmel and his team. We look forward to working with The Painting Edge in the future!

Plen, the painter who actually came out to do the job, was very nice and I really liked him. I would love for him to come back when I have any more painting to do, interior or exterior. Plen and the owner, Todd Cartmel, I'd like to work with them and I've had friends who've asked who my painters were and I've told them about The Painting Edge. They did a great job! I would use them again. Sometimes it was hard to get a hold of me, but I can't really blame the company because I work at a school and it is hard to reach me during the day. We finally were able to connect and they did the painting over my Christmas break. I really do like Plen and Todd Cartmel and would use them again.

Painting Edge is our first and only call for painting jobs. We have used Todd and his crews several times for both inside and outside painting. The quality of work makes them in demand so you may have to wait a few months for to be scheduled, but it's worth the wait. They arrive timely, are polite, clean up neatly at the end of the day, are easy to work with, and keep you informed about the pros and cons of any decisions that need to be made. The work is first rate.

They did a very a very nice job. They came out on time to do the work and cleaned up after themselves when they were completed. I would use them again for future work.

Although this was a small job, it was done with great professionalism. They also did some touch up in other parts of the house from a previous job they had completed without additional charge.

Todd, the owner, came out twice prior to our committing to the job. He has a great eye for color and was a help in choosing the correct color for this room which doesn't have a lot of natural light. He brought out samples of the color for us to try prior to committing to the color. We had selected a color, but he explained his reasoning for thinking that would not be the best color and suggested something else. The color he suggested worked better with the light and carpet in that room. He also suggested a trim color which gave the room a more up-to-date, brighter look. Flynn, the lead painter was efficient and courteous. He removed cornice board and drapes and offered to take them out to be picked up with trash. They had to come back for a couple of minor glitches, but did that the next day. Todd always stayed in touch by phone or email.

We had time constraints and the company had jobs already in the works, but somehow Todd squeezed us in and completed the job in 1 1/2 days. We were very pleased again with their work.

They were very efficient and easy to work with.

Todd came promptly out to give an estimate. In fact, he came out at the end of the workday on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. He emailed me an estimate by the end of that evening. He came over again just before the project was to start to do a final walk through. He started the project the week before Christmas and painted everything but the basement. That was finished after the holidays. Each day Todd personally called me to give me an update. Every day, the painters put their equipment away and never left a mess. They were the tidiest workmen that I have ever had work on my home. The primary painter, Flynn, as well as the other painters involved, were very courteous and treated my home with great care. I was at work while they were painting and was very comfortable leaving them alone in my house. Upon completion, Todd followed up with me several times to make sure that I was satisfied with the work done.

Todd was very prompt giving me an estimate. He really made me feel good about how he would handle the job during the estimate. He assured me that he would help me through the process of picking colors and that he would manage the whole process. I really felt that I wanted him to do the work even before the bids came back. When the bids came in, his was very reasonable compared to the others, so it was an easy decision. His painter, Flynn, who worked at my house was a pleasure to have around, very professional, courteous. I trusted these guys completely. Everything went so smoothly. This work was done in November and it ran just a few days long because someone got sick and Todd gave me a discount because he felt badly about it. They were very quick, clean and never left us in a situation where we couldn't function in a room when they left for the day. Todd always left me messages about where we stood and what would happen next. Great experience, overall! Will hire again.

I have nothing but praise for Todd and his staff at The Painting Edge. They were very professional, prompt, did very neat work, cleaned up afterwards extremely well. Overall, they did an excellent job and the cost was very reasonable. I am especially grateful to Todd for all his help in selecting the right colors. He really went above and beyond in making sure I was going to be happy with the choices. I really feel that if I had had any other painter, I would be sitting here with colors I really didn't like, but instead, I am so happy with the results! Thanks, Todd!

I am very pleased with the work performed. Everything done as expected and in a timely manner. Todd kept in touch throughout the process and made sure everything was going as expected.

The project went very well. This was the second time I had used The Painting Edge. Todd is awesome to work with. He is very organized and makes everything run smoothly. Flynn and Brandon worked hard and were so easy to have in my house for 4 days. They quietly go about their work and they are very nice to my kids and my pets. Not one drop of paint got on the walls or the windows. That is how careful they are. The windows look perfect. I will definitely use them again.

It was nice that even though Todd couldn't take our project, he had the resources at hand to help us to accomplish our task.

We have never been this pleased with a contractor, painting or otherwise. The Painting Edge doesn't just ask you what colors you want and then put them on the walls. Todd's consultations were INVALUABLE, he gave excellent suggestions on the project. We had so many areas done at once, Todd helped guide us along and keep us from feeling overwhelmed. We also used a newer, low VOC product and Todd had helpful information on similar products and did research for us on the new product. Flynn, who did the lions share of the work, was an absolute pleasure to have in the home. He was clean, considerate and friendly. His work was so precise, there's not a single thing we've found that we would correct, and my husband and I can be pretty picky. Other contractors we had over for estimates, just didn't bring anything to the table and were pricier. We're so grateful to Angie's List for pointing us in the direction of The Painting Edge. We can't wait to have them over again!

Todd Cartmel was always on time, from start to finish. He kept a very close eye on how the job was progressing, and really did a very nice job with customer service. The job was completed and exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend them to someone who wants a job done well with minimum hassle.

Todd Cartmel was very professional and very patient and attentive to my requests and questions. Even though I was clear in that I'm still choosing colors and not ready to begin this project, I was treated with respect and received a very fast, clear and detailed estimate.

Job 1: Todd, the owner, John the foreman, & the whole team were outstanding. Excellent experience. Todd is a great communicator & detail list. Todd & John are very knowledgeable abt paints, sheens & were also able to assist us w/color recommendations. His painters are skilled & courteous. They re neat & cleaned up their equipment daily. They did a few extra areas that we wanted to have painted during the process & they worked them in & still got the job done rapidly. We'll hire them again. This was an expensive project, & was worth the cost. We felt good abt the money spent. Job 2: This job went great also! Todd was wonderful to work with. He squeezed us in on very short notice. John is professional, knowledgeable & talented. John & his crew were quiet, clean & efficient while they were in our home. They did a fabulous job & helped us get back on track, we were running behind in getting our home ready for an open house/putting it on the market to sell it. I d recommend them to anyone.

The Painting Edge definitely does superior quality painting, with absolutely no mess!!

Todd was very helpful in determining paint color and selection. The job was well worth the wait. Todd's crew took their time in preparing the site for painting and did a very nice job on the overall project. We will have them back when we are ready to paint the interior of our home.
