1. I love this painting company! Todd, the owner of the company personally came to give us a quote and discussed any/all issues that are anticipated during the job. Very professional and very detail oriented. He made sure we had color samples in large print so we could actually view them in our room for a few days 2. While waiting for the crew to finish up a job, Todd kept us informed and when the crew came to the house he also came and introduced them 3. We knew the plan, the colors we had chosen and how many days it would take for each area. We divided the job into three areas and the crew moved all the furniture and placed it in an agreed upon area. They cleaned each area as they finished. They even cleaned the mirrors. They patched nail holes and found places where the wall board and nails separated and fixed those in every room. They protected everything in our home and there was not one mess anywhere. They hand painted the edges of every room and that in itself is impressive 4. There is no payment or down payment until the job is finished and you are satisfied...VERY CUSTOMER ORIENTED!!! 5. They have set times every day so you know when they will arrive and when they will leave and that frees you up to do what you want 6. I would highly recommend this company to anyone for inside, outside or cabinet painting. We are very pleased and found the entire crew to be quite pleasant and respectful of our needs. The Painting Edge just completed painting most of the interior of our home—ceilings, walls, and trim as well as our front door and surround. They did an absolutely wonderful job. Todd Cartmel was very helpful in the selection of paint colors to use. His price estimates were very competitive with other estimates we received. He inspected our house thoroughly to tell us how to prepare for each room’s work. He also scheduled the work around a family event we had coming up. His painters and drywall person were all friendly, courteous and thorough. Brian, Mike and Willie were the painters that were here the most often. Jordan, Paul and Josh were here as well. We were extremely comfortable having them in our home. They took great care preparing all of the surfaces and moving and draping the furniture and floors. They were always on time in the morning and had their work spaces clean and neat on leaving in the afternoons. They were very flexible about working around our schedule. Their drywall guy, Ray, was a superior craftsman. The sections of drywall and ceiling that he repaired are indistinguishable from the surrounding areas. Most importantly, all of our ceilings, walls and trim and our front door all look great now. Their final cost was well within their estimate. In short, we are extremely pleased with their work. We would not hesitate to call them again for any future painting needs!

Jesus and his crew did a fantastic job! All damaged wood was removed, replaced, primed on all sides and then remounted. Caulking was neatly and extensively done prior to painting with high quality paint. Even the hardware on the garage doors was removed and spray painted. The team was always on time, communicated well, and kept a neat worksite. My house looks better than new. (I also had the same company do a wonderful job of extensive interior painting)

We just had our drywall painted and repaired throughout our home. We are very pleased with the work that was done by The Painting Edge. I will definitely be using them for future projects.

Totally pro. From start to finish. Typical process - power wash, scrape, caulk and a coat of paint. The Painting Edge process - power wash, scrape, hand wash, power sand(!) caulk, oil-based primer coat on all surfaces, then finishing latex coat. Next up - big crew - up to 8 on some days, 6 the others so it went *fast* Five days start to finish. Great crew. Nice guys. Hard workers. If you want the best, I highly recommend.

We highly recommend The Painting Edge without question. I first reached out to Todd, the owner, on a Saturday and he promptly responded. He arranged to come out to our home to evaluate and discuss our needs and then returned again with the painter/spray tech, Kevin, to fully assess the project. We were both impressed and appreciative of this level of attention and communication. Kevin has excellent skills and gave our project exceptional attention to detail. He was meticulous, courteous and tidy. He did an amazing job and the final results far surpassed anything we were expecting. We could not be happier with the entire experience.

We bought a house in Indiana while moving from Texas. Todd was flexible to meet with me and provided a very fair price to do the work. We agreed to have the entire house, upstairs and downstairs wall's and trim painted, including the front and back exterior doors. Todd met me at the house the day his crew showed up we went over everything together. I was impressed with the professionalism of his crew. Paul, Shawn and Mike were in my home for 2 weeks painting while my wife and I were traveling back n forth between Indiana and Texas. Paul, Shawn and Mike WAY exceeded our expectations. They were very careful and even taught me a thing or 2 while there. If you are looking for a TOP Notch company and a crew that you can trust, you can NOT go wrong With Edge, Todd, Paul, Mike and Shawn. We will use them for all of our painting needs in the future.

The Painting edge was great to work with for our staining project. From the beginning with Todd, to the end with Debbie, communication was great. Debbie made sure I was completely happy with my project. I love, love, love how my stairs that used to have carpet look now with stain on them. I have included some pictures of before and after. If you need someone for your staining project, The Painting Edge is your team.

My wife and I wanted to paint the trim on our house as well as our front door. I had used The Painting Edge (TPE) before when we had a wall that needed to be repainted after experiencing some water damage. My experience with TPE on this job was wonderful, thus I had full confidence that they'd do a great job with the trim/front door painting project. Todd Cartmel is the owner of TPE and is a pleasure to work with...he performed the estimate which we accepted and then kept me well informed as to when they would perform the job. He made sure he understood what the job entailed and maintained consistent/professional communication with me all along the way up through and after the project was performed. The crew was outstanding...one individual was designated as my contact and managed the crew ensuring that they understood what we wanted and took extra care not to damage landscaping. In summary, my experience with TPE and Todd was just outstanding...I didn't have to worry that the job would be performed professionally, there would always be a manager onsite, and Todd would always be accessible if I had any issues. I will use them again for any future painting need, interior or exterior.

Todd and his team painted my kitchen and family room cabinets, they look brand new. The team was on time each day, no cleanup needed, and they worked a full day. I am very impressed with the quality of work and completely satisfied.

The Painting Edge did a tremendous job painting the basement of my new home. Great work by the painting team each day, and every communicative on expectations and an ETA of completion. If I need another room painted in the future I know who to call.

Todd’s team is incredible. Jesus is his team lead and the attention to detail was the best of the best for contractors I have recently hired. The crew took care of our house and did not damage anything and kept paint off of all items that were not supposed to be painted. Our house is pretty large, 6000 sq ft, and this crew prepped and painted in just 4 days. All wood was recaulked and painted along with our brick. Each day they let me know when they found an issue, wood rot and holes in brick mortar. All was then quoted and repaired at a very reasonable price. I would definitely hire this group again for my indoor work!

Todd Cartmel was very knowledgeable about color choice and what to look for in choosing the right color. The color consultation he provided us was invaluable. He took his time with our project. The painting crew (Mike and Brian) were impeccable painters and were as personable as they were professional. They treated our home during the three days they were here with respect and cleaned up at the end of each day. Both guys were very friendly and gentlemanly. The finished project turned out more beautiful than we anticipated. This is definitely a 5-star company.

When I first reached out to Todd at The Painting Edge he was super quick to get back to us and come out to see our space and what we were wanting. He explained in detail the process of painting cabinets and exactly what we should expect. After getting quotes from multiple contractors, we found The Painting Edge to be very reasonable. Our project began within a month and Todd made sure to be onsite that first morning to introduce his team to us. Rich and Nate were so great to work with during the duration of our project. They were friendly and very thorough not to mention timely. They accommodated my schedule each day. They worked really hard and finished a day earlier than originally planned. My kitchen cabinets look and feel beautiful. I'm so happy with their work and will absolutely use The Painting Edge again for any future work. Not to mention they were great with my dogs :)

Todd and his team are amazing to work with. I was dealing with a difficult drywall repair for a bathroom renovation, and also needed my ceiling, walls, and trim painted. Todd's crew is amazing, and they went above and beyond to fix the drywall, surpassing my expectations. His team has a lot of experience and I was very happy with the end result. The painting is professionally done, which makes a big difference vs just a jack of all trades doing the work. The crew is timely, tidy, and focused on quality. I've learned to really appreciate companies that specialize in specific areas (such as drywall and painting) to get the best results. I'm already discussing other projects with Todd and would absolutely use them again.

The owner is Todd Cartmel, who is wonderful to work with and very conscientious. I did a complete interior renovation of my house after damage from a water line leak, including all new doors and trim. After getting multiple estimates, I hired The Painting Edge to paint my interior walls in May 2021 and had them come back and paint my new doors/trim in October 2022. They also repaired drywall and painted my guest bathroom after another contractor had done an upgrade to it. His drywaller, Ray, works miracles and his painters, Shane, Mike, and Jordan are fantastic! All of them are great guys and they are the only contractors I felt comfortable enough with to leave them alone in my house when I had to be out. They may cost a little more depending on who else you get bids from, but the stress-free experience working with them and the amazing results are definitely worth it!

We used the Painting Edge to re-do our kitchen cabinets. Todd and his team were wonderful. The cabinets had a wood grain, and were already finished with some type of glossed enamel. So instead of painting, they decided to use a special lacquering technique that would provide a better long-term result compared to painting. I provided them with a dark blue Farrow and Ball paint sample, and they were able to replicate the color in the lacquer. They took the cabinets from our kitchen, worked on them for about 3-4 weeks, and returned with a full re-installation. The result is beautiful. This is a much easier and less time-intensive option if you want a new look to your cabinetry without completely replacing the hardware. The team is professional, clean, kind and timely. I highly recommend for cabinetry work.

The crew and Todd had great communication with me and everyone was very professional. The exterior trim, door, and garage doors were painted beautifully. Some vinyl was also painted and looks great! Unfortunately, I had a lot of wood that needed to be replaced. But Chris did a very thorough job! The whole experience was very easy with my house looking so much better now. I will definitely be using them in the future!

I’ve been a Painting Edge customer since 2003 for both interior and exterior painting. The Painting Edge team have just completed the exterior painting of the wood siding on my house and the backyard pergola. I wanted to share my experience with others who are researching companies for their painting needs. What I feel sets The Painting Edge apart from its competitors are four main things: 1) Proper prep work before the paint is applied. This includes first checking the surfaces for defects or wood rot that need to be repaired or replaced. Then surface preparation follows by cleaning the entire surface and proper caulking where needed. In my situation, wood rot was found in several areas. Chris is the team’s long-time carpenter who expertly handles those types of repair and replacement. He makes the magic happen. Then the painting team’s project leader for my project, Jesus, was the key to not only keeping the team on schedule and keeping the momentum going but also making certain nothing was inadvertently overlooked. 2) Being a full-service company with attention to detail. Every customer job is different. There are various nuances at each customer’s project that must be addressed. Having a team with so many individual skills under one roof eliminates any extra hassle for the customer. The company has a number of interior and exterior teams to handle any type of painting job, along with carpenters to handle any wood repair and/or replacement. The project leaders coordinate everything and make certain no detail is missed. 3) Respect for the customer and the customer’s property. The Painting Edge team members take pride in their work and in being as careful with the customer’s property as they would their own. I have a great deal of landscaping and lighting that the men had to work around. The job site was kept so clean and organized that unless people passing by actually saw them on ladders, they didn’t even know they were here. All the team members make sure that there is minimal disruption while the job is being done. 4) Dedicated and hardworking team members. The Painting Edge hires only the best people. Todd is careful in who he hires because he stands behind the quality his company offers. He oversees the project leaders who take the time to well train the new members so that everyone subscribes to the same quality standards that have kept them one of the best painting companies in the area. Lastly, I just want to mention that the entire team was so very personable and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them here. This year they worked tirelessly in 100 degree heat each day yet maintained the superior performance they are known for and even kept a great sense of humor despite the oppressive heat. After 19 years of having them handling all my painting needs, I am very comfortable in recommending them to others looking for a truly quality painting company.

We have used The Painting Edge for 2 large interior painting projects over the years. We are always so impressed with the professionalism and excellent work. Todd, the owner is so responsive.
