Description of Work: I called to inquire about an estimate. I received a return phone call promptly. I was asked a about my project. I was asked what year my home was built and since it was built before 1978, I was told that I'd need to have my home tested for lead paint because they don't work with homes that have lead. I decided not to move forward

Description of Work: We engaged Matt Wright for a project consisting of 5 small parts: (i) installation of a new counter, tile, sink and shelf for a wet bar; (ii) installation of a new vanity, countertop and mirror in a bathroom; (iii) conversion of a small closet into a TV cabinet; (iv) addition of a new access door to our attic; and (v) the design, construction and installation of a 4-bed bunk bed set. As with our prior projects with Matt, the communication, workmanship and service was outstanding. All projects were completed on time and on-budget, and everything looks and works great. The bunk beds in particular are impressively designed. Matt and his team didn't have much space in which to install the beds, particularly given some extra features we wanted integrated into the beds. We've consistently referred Matt to friends for their projects and will continue to do so.

Description of Work: I sent Matt an email via angieslist.com and he responded within hours. I wanted to receive a quote to replace my glass shower doors. Although my job was too small for his services as a home remodeling company, I was impressed that he took the time to call me and let me know. He also referred me to a company that specializes in shower door replacement. Would definitely consider Homewright in the future should I have the need for true remodeling.

Description of Work: Very friendly and customer-focused, plus Matt is in Carmel so that was a plus. I would have gone with him except that Affordable Kitchens and Bath beat his estimate by a couple of thousand. AK&B did an outstanding job so I'm very pleased with my choice.

+ 6 moreMatt came over to the house and from the initial appt. came up with some great design ideas. For example, we moved our shower head from one side to the other to put in a glass block insert to allow for more natural light. He really thinks of everything all the way down to where light switches are to be located. His selection process was not only easy, but fun. Everytime you went to pick something whether it was tile, vanity cabinets, or plumbing fixtures, the sales associates were prepared. All the details prior to starting the project were all laid out.
Description of Work: Our house is 60 yrs. old and the bathroom was very dated. We wanted to start from scratch and completely rework the bathroom, so we called Matt since he had did our exterior work. Matt and crew came in and gutted the whole bathroom. We did a new custom tile shower and floors. We put in new vanity cabinets, plumbing and lighting fixtures. One of the things Matt noticed was that we did not have a bath exhaust fan. He explained the need for one due to all the moisture from showering. This is something I did not know. He is very good on educating you on why you need certain things and why you don't need others.

+ -1 moreMatt did a great job. Very professional in his work. Described what needed to be done to do the job right (replacement, which we suspected would be the correct way before he arrived, as opposed to just dressing up/covering over the problem). He stayed in contact with us to let us know when the different aspects of the job would be done (e.g., installation, painting/finishing, etc.). He always came by when work by his subcontractors, no matter how minor, was to be done on the window. (There was an equipment problem from the manufacturer that needed to be taken care of and Matt took care of it.) The price that was quoted was more than we expected, but in line (and lower) than other bids we received.
Description of Work: Replacement of a twin, double hung wood framed window that was deteriorating badly as a prelude to selling our house.

+ 0 moreMatt Wright is a very personable, professional and conscientious contractor in every aspect. We met on time at the site (my residence) where I shared with him information about my home and the expectations I had for the renovation of the existing siding, windows, etc. Matt was very honest in his approach and recommendations and it became clear within a short span of time that what he proposed was at a quality level that was not going to be life-cycle cost-effective for the term I will retain ownership of the house. If I thought I d retain ownership of the house over the next 20 to 30 years, I would have hired Matt in a New York second. I believe he s just that good. I m sorry I wasn t able to.

Matt Wright with HomeWright stopped by personally and his company did a great job with the patch. We liked the work so much, we plan to have them do the full repair soon. We also asked about electrical work, and just last week HomeWright completed a great job of outdoor lighting for our home. We feel very confident about the company and will use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: HomeWright put shingles on a damaged area of our roof. We liked the service and workers so much we asked if they also did external and internal electrical work.

+ 4 moreWe were spending a lot of money on energy bills. I received Matt's number through a friend. I had several companies come over and give estimates. Matt's passion for the work came through during his time at our house. He was very knowledgeable and taught me a great deal about the products. When I had question he was available and help me understand what steps needed to be taken. One concern I had was living in our house during all the work. Matt provided me with a great schedule and the work was done and completed on time. I was very comfortable working with Matt!
