It was fine. There wasn’t any additional cost. They gave me all the things that were wrong which I haven’t fixed yet. There was no delay in schedule. He was very polite and explained things well. They got right back with me both times. He was on time.

I purchased a Big Deal on Angie's List: a whole house electrical inspection for 89.00. I was guaranteed that Rickel would contact me in 2 business days -- by 12/31 -- to set up an appointment. Days went by. I sent them an email on 1/5, and as of 1/8 I have still heard nothing. I have asked Angie's list for a full refund.

The services were excellent. The electrician was on time, polite, and completed the work in a reasonable timeframe. He work was excellent.

He reviewed the problem and then replaced the breaker. He was punctual, pleasant and efficient. The price was very good. I would definitely hire Rickel Electric, LLC again!

The first estimator mentioned a number of things that "could" cause the lights to flicker and procedures to "possibly" correct this. The workman who came to do the work took one look in our fuse box and said that all the spaces were in use so there would always be flickering when a major appliance kicked in. Replaced some receptacles that were not up to code. Discovered that something in the fuse box (neutral bar) needs to be replaced due to corrosion and that work will be scheduled soon. It will cost about $150 more. We liked the work crew and trusted their work but will not use this service again. It was difficult to evaluate this company in the ratings section.

It went very well overall. When delayed at an earlier appointment they contacted us to ask if they could be (not that they would be) delayed about one hour and apologized for the inconvenience. Once here the went about the work efficiently and completed it promptly. Our only observation is that a ladder, apparently used out of doors, was brought in without the feet being wiped clean which left some soil on carpets. The technician requested a cloth to clean up what he could but it could have been avoided. We see it as a minor oversight and it does not detract from our view of Rickel as a quality, dependable service provider who we will hire again as we continue to update our recently acquired home here.

My dryer outlet started smoking so I unplugged my dryer and started trying to find an electrician. I really needed to get my dryer back up and going as we'd had a houseful of company over the Thanksgiving break and I had a lot of towels and sheets to wash and dry. The first electrician I called couldn't fit me in for another two weeks. I called Rickel, and they came that evening. Even though my repair required additional parts, they ran out and purchased them so they could have me up and running that night. Technician was very polite and friendly, took the time to explain to me what had happened, and made sure to check out and repair everything damaged by the fire. Was very happy with the work done.

I appreciate their flexibility since I messed up and wasn't there when the appointment was scheduled. Jason went out of his way to make an extra trip and get the repair completed. I am very satisfied with Rickel Electric and recommend them without hesitation. They are a first-rate organization.

Frustrating experience. I did the research, contacted them, left a message and no one ever returned my call. My time is valuable and I consider it unprofessional to not even get a return phone call.

It went okay. He couldn't fix it but he did try to find a solution for me. He ended up calling his business partner to do the work.

Jason and his team are professional and do a great job. We have had them out several times - to run wiring for new lights for a remodel and install a floor outlet in the family room, in addition to the work done recently. They are responsive, prompt and extremely well priced.

They were responsive, easy to schedule, professional and well priced. We wanted the work done quickly, and they came within a couple days and installed the fan and switch. Would definitely recommend.

The electrician arrived in a timely manner. I had purchased a deal to get my house inspected. The electrician went through my house and explained what he was doing. When he was finished, he asked if I had any concerns. I had a hanging pendent light that was kind of loose and he fixed it for me. I also expressed concern about my motion detector lights that are in the back of my house. He didn't have a ladder tall enough to look at it but promised someone would return. Someone did return the next week and adjusted the sensor to make it more sensitive to cause the motion detector lights to come on. I thought everyone I dealt with was very professional and if I have any problems, I would feel confident contacting them.

I did not have any problems with the company as they were very responsive and professional. Unfortunately, my situation was an emergency so I had to call someone else who could come out right away. The receptionist and everyone I spoke to was pleasant

Though I have some knowledge and skill @ house electrical, I was stumped when the lights went out and the breaker was OK. I thought it might be an overloaded circuit...as I have a ton of stuff computers and whatnot plugged into 1 receptical in my man cave. Mr Rickel found a loose wire in a receptical up stairs in the living room. He was done in less than an hour and didn't take me to the cleaners. I was relieved!

I used Angie's List's concierge service to find and schedule a provider. Rickel was able to come out within a week. The electrician was a few minutes early, which is fine by me. I showed him the problem. He explained the switches were old and broken, causing arching (and thus the crackling sound and burning smell). He quickly changed the switches out. It only took 15 minutes.

It was an excellent experience. They were very neat and clean. They were very knowledgeable and they answered any questions we had to our satisfaction. I would definitely use this company in the future.

The install was great and much faster than I expected at a reasonable price. Jason even installed the ceiling fan itself for me which I did not expect.

The company was very responsive to my inquiries about the proposed work (conducted over the Angie's List message center mostly). All of the quote work was done without a visit. I sent pictures of what needed to be done. Price was too steep on a few parts i.e. cost of digital timers and brass plate for the switches versus the white, but we got these resolved very easily. Stacy in the office was very helpful. There was a bit of a challenge on the day of the service call as we were expecting the electrician between 12 and 2PM. But it appeared the electrician was planning on being at our home around 2 hours before that. This can be challenging if people have to leave work to be home. We managed to work around this. Work was completed in a very satisfactory manner. This company will be at the top of my list if I were looking for a quote again.

Jeremy was excellant. Texted/called to ask if he could show up early as he had previous jobs completed earlier than expected. I kindly accepted for him to show up early after I contacted my wife to make sure she would be home. He quickly found the problem and fixed it within an hour or so. He even put up with our two crazy dogs in the back yard when he was trying to locate the problem. I would highly recommend Rickel Electric to any of my friends and family. Their reception was kind and very easy to get along with as well as the technician. Thanks again for the prompt troubleshooting and quick fix.

Jason was schedule to arrive between 10 and 12 for the appointment. He actually texted me early, and said he was running AHEAD of schedule and asked if it would be ok if he came at 8:30. I gladly accepted, and he performed the work quickly and cleanly.
