Jason is great to work with. They moved several outlets for me, moved a can light and installed a dedicated circuit during my kitchen remodel over two trips. He is easy to communicate with and is fully focused when working in my home. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've hired Jason and I will continue to rely on him for my future electrical needs.

The service went fine, except I was not given an invoice. He just told me what I owed him and didn't give me a break down of what I was charged. They said that they would send a receipt, but after a week I have not received one. I have called to ask why I haven't gotten one. The woman, that I spoke with, said that she would email it to me, but I still haven't received a receipt.

I requested a quote via email. I received a call the next morning that Jason was available that afternoon due to a cancellation. He came by at 4pm as arranged, and provided an estimate that convinced me that I should let him install the new light fixture as well, and he could do it right then. The work was completed in just over an hour. My spouse was very surprised and pleased when she came home to the new fixture, since she didn't even know that I'd arranged for an estimate! I would definitely hire Jason again.

End result is good, but a few things could have been mentioned in advance to make the project smoother. Scheduling an appointment was short notice (emailed evening before/day of) and had to arrange a 2nd appt after running behind on first appt. There was no timeframe given so be sure to confirm how long you'll need to be available (took about 4 hours). After installation cleanup was sweeping, but everything was covered with a thick white dust on wood floors and furniture surfaces (vacuuming alone left white areas that needed mopped thoroughly to remove). I wish the installer had used some type if vacuum to minimize debris, or recommended that we cover or remove furniture from the area. I followed up after the appt with concern that the bulbs were too low; not above ceiling level. Was told they could be higher, but needed to request that during the appointment ($65 to come back out and adjust). I ended up spending about an hour learning how to do this myself, and they look much better. This definitely should have been explained as an option at the time of installation. Before my adjustments, the bulbs and fixtures looked clumsy. Had to pay $35 extra for flat panel light switch to match our existing panel. Would have been an A if these issues were addressed before/during the appointment to save time and protect furniture/floors/belongings from excessive debris.

The work was performed efficiently and professionally and precisely as specified, all at what we thought was a surprisingly reasonable price. Jason Rickel was a pleasure to work with and we already have a couple of more things we would like to have Rickel Electric do for us.

The electrician arrived at the scheduled time but did not introduce himself - he never did tell me his name. I was a little concerned because it seemed to take him a long time to figure out the placing of the lights. When the job was complete I asked what a similar job would cost without the Angie's List special - he did not know. I also asked for a business card which he did not have. I'm generally satisfied with the result but don't think I would hire Rickel Electric again - the electrician just did not inspire confidence in me.

Very prompt and great service. Cleaned after job was completed. We will use their service for other items in our home.

They were very prompt, did the work, and provided the invoice timely and via email with an easy payment method. While other shops were running 2-3 weeks out, these guys stepped up and did a great job. We were very pleased.

I had called several other electricians and none could come out for several weeks. Rickel came out the same morning I called and fixed all our issues in less than an hour for a very reasonable price. We appreciate their great service and will recommend to our friends!

Originally, Jason Rickel gave me a verbal bid over the phone to do the work: he did not come to my house physically to bid the job. I contracted with him to do the work, and spoke to Stacy in his office 3 times to confirm what I wanted, which was 6- 8 foot florescent light fixtures with 4 tubes each in them in stalled in my garage. I again confirmed this the day before the installation with her. On the day of the installation, Jason had to get a root canal, and sent one of his other men, Justin, to do the work. He was prompt and professional and was here about 4 hours. I was home for most of this time, and Jason Rickel showed up after his dental appointment (for which I give him credit as he was in pain!) to help with installation. I had to leave before the actual fixtures were installed, and when I came home after the job was finished, I found that they installed 6-4Ft. florescent fixtures with 2 tubes each in them, rather than the 8 foot long fixtures I requested. I called and left a message for Jason concerning the mix up, which he promptly returned. Jason and two other men came back about a week later and installed the fixtures I requested. I did pay for the upgrade in materials as he had originally charged me for the smaller fixtures. We worked out an agreement on the extra time involved in re-doing the job (about another 4 hours for 2-3 men), and I felt that Jason Rickel was very fair. He is a man of his word, and although we had a misunderstanding as to what I wanted initially, Jason redid the job to my satisfaction, was punctual and professional, and very fairly priced. I would use Rickel Electric again.

Justin did indeed arrive at 7:00 a.m. as Jason Rickels had told me. He identified himself and told me an electrician apprentice was on his way. Vern arrived shortly, and we all walked through the list of work to be done and all the materials I had already purchased. He advised me that I needed a different type of a material; I was able to run out and purchase it while they got started. Justin gave good directions to Vern and he did the vanity lights quickly and neatly. I was impressed with how well Vern added a light to my family room fan even though it was a little tricky. He took time to tell me of the situation and assure me that he would make it work and look nice as well. Justin was totally professional plus being pleasant and communicative. He ran into some challenges as he installed the lights in the new pattern that I wanted, but together we would look at the situation and solve the problem. They really did use common sense as they worked diligently to please me. I observed that he supervised and gave instructions well in the capacity of trainer for Vern as he learns the business. Jason Rickels stopped by about midway through the work to see how it was going. Incidentally, I did not know that he would not be doing the actual work. We had been communicating only via email, which worked remarkably well; he simply never mentioned that fact. When he came by, both young men had been working steadily and everything was coming together to my satisfaction. When finished, they carefully cleaned up the room even through there was hardly any mess. I appreciated their doing that. I sent Jason an email that evening commending Justin and Vern for their manner and their skill.

This is the 2nd job we have had Jason do for us. Jason's crew works hard and doesn't waste time. Jason was sure to consult with us on the location of the new can lights before installing. I will hire them again in the future.

The lights were terrific and that showed up and did what they told me they would do for the price that I paid on the pre-negotiated deal. My issue is that where they were in my home the evidently turned on my TV and left it in Spanish speaking mode. I was not in the home when they were here and that had been prearranged. I do not mind that they watch my TV but that they left it in the Spanish mode and I did not how to change it back frustrated me to the point of having to call the cable company have to rectify it. It also maybe wonder what else they did in the house when I was not here but on the whole everything was pretty much untouched and even though they left kind of a mess it is understand one as much as they had to cut drywall.I would probably use them again because they did a good job and the pricing was fair but I would not leave them in my home alone ever again.

Has provided no service. My wife and I are looking to have the work done in the near future. This company was very professional and responsive. They responded same day to any message hat i had sent them. I would recommend based on that. The price seemed reasonable, or what i would expect. Plan to use them in the future. Thanks Rickel.

This is the second time we've worked with Rickel Electric. Guys who came out had always been professional, courteous and willing to go the extra mile in customer service and satisfaction. Knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. Would highly recommend to others. Planning to have them come out again in the near future to install TV wall mounts.

The guys showed up at the scheduled time and had everything installed in a few hours. The exhaust duct had to be run through the ceiling and to the outside of the house. They cleaned up all of the dust and debris before they left and were very courteous and professional. The range hood looks great.
