This is a two family house, 4913 and 4915. The work was done on the 4915 side of our two family house. It is an old house which presented some problems, such as Jeremy discovered some of the walls were concrete. Nevertheless he found a way to install the outlets and did excellent work. installing the outlets was not an easy job, but he was was very professional and I am very pleased by the work. I would definitely use them again.

They were excellent! I paid $395 and it was the deal of the century; I was really pleasantly surprised with this. They did everything timely, quickly, cleanly, and professionally. I would absolutely use them in the future.

They had good ratings. Some of the places are on the far side of town and Rickel seems to go everywhere. There is no problem. They showed up on time and got the job done.

Very satisfied customer. They came out as scheduled. He did not have the part in stock. He went back to his shop, got the part and was back to my house within 15 minutes. I got a 5% discount for seniors. Good, fast service. Very friendly. 100% positive.

.The receptionist was polite and pleasant, needed to checked in with the scheduler, and then she got back to me right away. They were able to come out the same day - this helped greatly with my work schedule. I received a phone call from the electrician letting me know when he'd arrive, and he was polite and efficient. He replaced the worn out light switch and things got working again - also helped me put in a new light bulb (I couldn't reach the ceiling light fixture) so bathroom lights are now all working!

Everything seemed fine until a year or so later when we took off the cover of the electric panel in the garage. Turns out the electric panel box was not large enough to handle the 200. Instead of putting in a new box like he should have and properly connected the two different sized wires, he just used some duct tape to attach them. This is a huge fire hazard. The electrician who found the issue was amazed that the barn did not burn down, since only the most subtle shift in the wire would have started sparks and fire. The other issue is just communication. The scope of the work from the estimate was precise and clear, but even if he was surprised by the additional cost ... Maybe $200 on a $1500 job ... At least talk to me about it and still do the job right - don't risk major property damage and potential loss of life. Pictures available on request.

Jason always does a very nice job. We have used him for years for various products and he always delivers honest quotes and jobs well done. If for some reason he needs to reschedule or be later than expected, he always contacts us in advance to make other arrangements.

Excellent. He made my day. About 2 months ago my fiance rewired my dining room and installed a dimmer circuit. That was new switch working but he cut off the wire feeding the exterior light. We did not know this at the time... nor could figure out why the lamp post was not coming in in the past month. Ricker helped troubleshoot an the issue and solved it very quickly fixing the dining room dimmer switch wiring and installed a new light fixture for me. I was impressed at how quickly they troubleshooted the root cause of the issue. Thanks and great job!

We requested first appt of the day which the scheduler agreed to. Technician Darrell arrived shortly after 8 AM and owner Jason arrived 10 minutes later. When asked, they offered their professional opinion on best install location and then worked in tandem for a solid 75 minutes, left no mess and were professional and polite throughout. Although there were other electrical groups offering in-box coupons that might have led our cost to be less, I noticed that each seemed to be slipping in the ratings since doing so. Glad we went with this group as I have NO complaints.

Jason was very responsive, and most importantly he was available, when we called. Within a few hours he was onsite to perform an assessment and give us our options on the spot. Because we were on an older 60Amp meter we decided to take advantage of the circumstances and upgrade to 100A service. Inside of an hour after we met with him he had emailed us an estimate! Less than 24 hours later Jason was back onsite with permit in hand and supplies to install. After just a couple hours he had replaced the existing service entry and had contacted IPL to reconnect our service. The linesman from IPL commented that the work looked excellent and he asked about the price we had to pay. When I told him he said that was a great price based on what others had told him they had paid for similar service in similar circumstances. I figure that the linesman should know a bargain when he sees it and this sounds like it was a bargain. I can highly recommend Jason for any electrical service needs you might have. With him you'll get what you pay for and pay for what you need. You won't be paying for a flashy company van that doubles as a rolling picture wrapped billboard - you'll be paying for a punctual, straight forward, ethical, and professional electrician.

I have a realtor friend who recommend them to me and I cross checked about them on Angies List ratings. We had a blizzard that knocked the power out and I called this guy when everybody had a power problem. Since I am a repeat customer this guy came out the next day and helped with the power pole outside my house. He went above and beyond for me. I had a couple of different guys, I had Jason Rickle the owner of this company and he sent another guy out to the rental property that I have got and they were both excellent, fast service, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with.

That turned out well. The electrician came out and inspected the circuits and did what he said he was going to do. It was nice that he didn’t try to sell me anything either. He was here for a couple of hours.

The pricing was good, he got the job done very quickly, he cleaned up afterwards and the quality work was good. He's a nice guy.

Jason Rickel is a gem. We found him on Angie's List and called for an estimate on work. He came to my house, looked at the lights that needed to be installed and the ceiling where we needed to hang them. He gave me an estimate and returned another time to install the lights. When he installed the lights, he was neat, efficient and very polite. After he left, we had a problem with electrical outlets in a nearby wall. I called Jason to ask if the work that he had done might have impacted the outlets. He returned the next day to check out the issue and discovered that he had inadvertently cut a wire to the outlets while installing my lights. He fixed the problem on the spot and apologized for the accident. I was so thrilled with his service that we now consider him our regular electrician for any work that we need in the future.

Brian Rickel came out for the estimate and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to find out not just what I wanted done, but what I intended to do in the garage to make the appropriate recommendations. Since I planned to put a woodshop out there he made some recommendations based on power needs for the tools, as well as several options based on my budget. I agreed to one of the options and scheduled the work to be done the following Friday. The technician who arrived to do the work knew exactly what he was doing, even going as far as to fix some of the mistakes and shortcuts done by the previous homeowner to improve the longevity and cosmetic appearance of the exterior wiring. On top of all that, he went above and beyond helping me to wire in the sockets and switches in the garage (saving me what would have probably taken hours given my amateur skills). He was extremely personable and friendly as well, which just made the experience that much better. I will definitely be using them again for any future electrical needs.

Come to find out it was due to a problem with an outside light. They disconnected the light until we return from our trip and will be back out to finish the job. They did a very good job.

My husband had begun the process of installing a new overhead light fixture, but ran into problems. He called Rickel, based on their Angie's List ratings and reviews. We had an immediate response, the electrician came the next day, and installed the new light in just a few minutes. We were very happy with his service and would definitely use this company again.

The old doorbell was not working properly and I was not sure if it needed to be repaired or replaced. Turns out it could not be repaired and the service representative installed a new one which he had with him in the truck. The service representative was exactly on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient in his diagnosis and repair. Would recommend.

I had this house built in 2002. I have had a number of electricians out for a number of upgrade jobs here and there. each time, I have inquired as to whether installing lighting on the first level was possible and every time, regardless of the contractor, they would tell me 'yeah but not without tearing up the drywall in the ceiling'. I even had a guy last year tell me that if it were his house, he'd wait a few years until the upstairs carpet needed replacing and then when the old carpet got ripped out, to cut through the subfloor on the second level and then install the lighting for the main level. so, for 12 years, the first level of this house has been poorly lit. so then I find this recessed lighting deal and saw that there was no upcharge for first floor work. so I decided, I'll get the lighting installed for a reasonable cost and if I have a bunch of drywall damage to repair then so be it ; at this point I need lighting. Jeremy came out and installed the lighting in my den and put it on a dimmer switch. Not one crack in the ceiling and no drywall work needed. I was stunned. In fact, things went so well that I just had Jeremy and Jason out again the other day to install another 13 can lights (9 of which were on the first floor). these guys are smart about their work, honest about the possibilities, and have an outstanding work ethic. I will likely call them for every electrical issue I have going forward.

Jeremy showed up on time ready to work. He only had a general idea of the scope of work so, we reviewed the items on my list. He listened very intently while my wife and I explained what we needed done. He when straight ot work and completed all the tasks. He asked questions along the way to make sure he knew what we wanted accomplished. Very polite and professional, Would definitely hire these folks again!!!

The service turned out very well. He also wired a smoke detector. They double checked the wiring was grounded and even gave me photos for proof. They came out on a Saturday. Two technicians came out. The technicians were very friendly and knew what they were doing. They nicely answered all of my questions. Scheduling was just fine. My only complaint was they were not wearing professional uniforms when they came out for the service. I asked them about their bonding and insurance and within 15-20 minutes they sent me a PDF of both.

I was worried that the basement might flood due to not having power in the sump pump. Jason came the day after I called, at a time so I wouldnt have to miss work, assessed the job and did it there and then. We've had him do other jobs for us over the years and have a few coming up...we are never dissapointed.

Had difficulty scheduling service with two failed appointments but this was not a problem for me. From start to finish everything went very well. I used the SnapFix app and Angie's List and Rickel electric made the whole experience very easy. The electrician showed up on time, got to work right away and did great work. I will use them in the future for my electrical needs.

I called Rickel Electric for an estimate on electrical repair work. The representative on the phone asked questions to clarify the request and explained that an email estimate would be sent soon. The email estimate arrived quickly and seemed reasonable in cost. I called back to set up an appointment. The Rickel electrician, Jeremy called before he came. He was on time, courteous and truly helpful. He analyzed the garage light problem quickly and repaired the light in minutes. I had requested the repair of a plug head on an extension cord for the sump pump in our crawl space. Jeremy checked out the cord and stated that the plug would not be to code and would not pass inspection. He recommended adding an outlet box and switch. This was helpful as we are soon selling our home. The repair was clearly explained. He phoned his office to explain the change in the repair needed. There was no extra charge for this additional and unscheduled work. I was planning to replace the dining room ceiling fixture myself, however Jeremy offered to take over and with his skill completed the instalation quickly. Everything looks great and is functioning properly. I was pleased with Rickel Electric's service and strongly recommend this company for all electrical needs.
