Description of Work: I was having problems updating the security/virus program David installed on my computer last summer and called him for help. He came to my home, installed the 2014 version, deleted the 2013 one, and charged me nothing.

Description of Work: I suffered a catastrophic failure of my six-year-old Dell Computer, so looked up Computer Service and Repairs on Angie's List and Selected "Propellerheads" and David Lash came out the following day, made necessary repairs and had my computer back the following day. Unfortunately their were a few glitches that had to be resolved and David assisted me me in taking care of them. I am a very pleased customer and I will relay on "Propelherheads" in the future.

Description of Work: Our dell computer rocked along for 10 years without a problem, but finally crashed on us. We had used 4 different computer people in the last 10 years. While adequate they were not as knowledgable, dependable or available as We would have liked. This time we found Propeller heads via Angie's List. David , our tech from Propeler Heads is professional, knowledgable, and available. He has come out, twice now on weekends, to help with problems. We still have an ongoing connection problem due to complications with frontier service but hope to be able to work that out soon. It is good to have a reliable tech person to go to.

+ -1 moreWe called Dave in an emergency situation .Our server was down due to a lightning strike. We are a medical office that completely relys on our pcs for everything we do. It was urgent we got someone here that could get us running by the end of the day. Dave put us on his priority list and was here within a few hours. He had a temporary solution that had us back on within hours. Though we needed alot of new equipment that had to be ordered, He was extremely knowledgable in getting it all installed within the next few weeks. He was always available for questions and extremely professional and courteous. HIs knowledge base is extensive and took the time to be sure all of us in the office were well trained and informed on the new software. He remained available even once complete when we came across a few issues. I would highly recommend Dave and Propeller Heads to anyone.
Description of Work: Dave replaced our server that was damaged by lightning, it also ending up affecting another desktop as well.

Description of Work: The computer stopped working. I called Propeller Heads and the owner came to my house within just a couple of hours and picked up the tower and checked it out. He called the next morning which was a Saturday and recommended we replace the unit rather than spend money repairing our old unit. He purchased a flash drive and put our files on it. He returned both the old unit and the flash drive on Saturday afternoon.

+ -1 moreSuddenly one afternoon, my oldest daughter's computer would not even boot up. I called David and he was able to take a look at it the next day. Although at first he thought he could find the virus and remove it quickly, it turned out that the virus had imbedded itself so deeply into the computer's system he had to uninstall and reinstall everything in order to get rid of it. That caused the price to go up, as he had to spend a lot of time working on it. I also had him install more memory on my younger daughter's mini computer in order to speed it up. I would definitely use him again. He's professional, prompt and knows he stuff!
Description of Work: David cleaned a severe computer virus off my daughter's laptop and installed more memory on my other daughter's mini laptop.

+ -1 moreI definitely know he knows what he is doing & is trustworthy. He does not waste time. The experience that I went through with that virus & his willingness to listen & be patient & to make sure that the laptop was well taken care, taking away the things that shouldn't be there & putting things in that needed to be to try & keep my computer safe, gives me the confidence to know that whenever I need him to work on my computer he will be there & tell me the truth. He recommends having it checked every 3 mos. to make sure nothing bad is hhappening.
Description of Work: This has been a long process. It started earlier than that. I was having trouble with my desk top computer. He had his address on Angie's list. I had to go to the PO to actually find it since the GPS did not know where it was. He was not at the house when I got there, called the no., left a message, he called me back, went back to his place, because I hadn't gone far. Told him the problem, He checked it out & found that wires were bad, etc. He recommended that I get a new 1. I did & paid him for that. He then said that the desk top had a lot of viruses, etc, & suggested that I let him clean my laptop. He took it on Mon. & gave it back to me on Tues. I went to work in Louisville, while I was there on Thurs, I picked up a virus. I called him. He went & worked on my computer over the phone. I was not very nice to him because without accusing him, I was accusing him. He ended up being to work on this w/o pay. I felt terrible for my actions. He worked several hours that night & had me call him on Fri. morning to finish it. When I got home, he took the computer & finished doing what needed to be done to possibly keep more viruses from coming. He charged me $108 for the finished & $144 for the original cleaning.

Description of Work: My lap top was not turning on. I assumed I had some sort of hard drive issue. It was making a clicking noise instead of actually launching programs. David was able to recover almost all information. I ended up needing a new hard drive. All of my information was then updated back onto my computer's new had drive. It's been a few weeks and so far so good.

Description of Work: Cleaned up a computer that was running slow and may have had viruses. Installed anti-virus software. Set up a new computer and transferred over files from the old computer. Cleaned up a laptop computer that was also having serious problems.
