Preferred is a great company. Dave Zier and his crew are efficient, and produce high quality work. Dave personally guided us through the insurance claim and supported us from start to finish.

After a hail storm in April 2017 Dave and his skilled professionals restored our home to better than it was before the storm. They replaced the roof, gutters, vinyl siding (on 2 sides of the house), and other repairs. Dave also explained the insurance process and was on site frequently to verify the progress of the repairs. He relieved us of the burden of this large repair and took all the responsibility on his own shoulders. We highly recommend Dave Zier and Preferred Roofing.

Matt, Preferred did a great job. We came across them when they did the neighbor's house across the street. What we liked was the interaction with the owner (Dave) of Preferred. He was out multiple times to check on things. We noticed this with our neighbor and then again when they did our house. He addressed concerns that we had and we never felt pressure to make a decision. Other contractors that were out truly acted like sales people - One contractor kept adding upgrade options - whereas Preferred included them - such as water/ice shield in the roof valleys and upgrade on the gutters. Perhaps not major - but it wasn't a nickel and dime approach that made you feel like you were at a car dealership. They moved everything away from the house (patio furniture and flower pots) and used multiple sheets of plywood to protect windows and doors from falling debris from the roof. After cleanup - it was virtually like they were never here. Most contractors that I have hired in the past have seldom impressed me - which has resulted in me doing most house projects myself anymore. This was different and I am glad that we chose Preferred.

Dave used an expert siding contractor who went above and beyond while installing the siding; we used Home Depot to replace four windows, they installed windows without a nailing flange which required the siding contractor to build up an aluminum surround to weather proof the windows before installing the siding, their work was top notched.

Dave met with our insurance adjuster to make sure that all the repairs were correct in the claim. His team turned the new roof around with gutters within 2 weeks of the damage. His crew was responsive to questions and cleaned up after each day of work. They were very organized and the new roof looks great. Dave notice that painters had damaged the new gutters and so he came back and replace the gutters. His attention to detail and follow up is excellent. I would definitely use this group again.

We have had kind of a mild winter. When he came back he brought 3 of them. Nice job. He told me the roof is sealed and he would bet his house on it and I thought good. I have checked and so far so good. He told me that whoever had done this prior had failed to put whatever it was, whether it was nails or whatever, to put it in place and keep it there, they had failed to do that one last thing that would keep it secure and he fixed it. I can't get out there and look anymore so I do have people look and what I do is drive over to the street on the other side of my house which is the back of my house and I slowly drive by because I can see through the yard and I can see it's in place. If I have to I get my riding mower and go around there but I trusted this guy. He is pretty good at what he does. He was really nice. He was honest. He told me that I had other people ahead of me. He said the he would call me. That one week that we had that was really nice, it was really warm and it was in the 50's. He said if I get ahead I will call you, but he came on Saturday. That was the break in the weather. He came on Saturday, brought his friends, and they got the job done. For this type of work, the stuff he put into it, and the people he brought; the price was more than reasonable for what he did.

Dave, and all of his employees were incredible. Our work was done neatly and in a very timely fashion. The crew stayed from early morning to well into the evening each day of our project and always cleaned up after themselves as well as the jobsite. Dave kept in constant touch with us, stopping by at least once a day to monitor the job and ask if we had any questions or concerns. Honestly, this is one of few projects we've ever had done that went as smoothly and turned out as well... We'll certainly hire them again for any future home projects.!

Dave and his crew arranged to have damaged soffits replaced and gutter fixed before applying roof. His team replaced the roof in 4 days careful to consider the weather before starting. The work was top notch and his crew cleaned up each day. They carefully reviewed the work over the course of installation. We are very satisfied with the new roof and recommend the company.

Dave was the first to call me back and was willing to fit a free roof estimate in on very short notice. He did an excellent job identifying and explaining the damage and had the estimate with the additional overhang concerns in a letter ASAP so it could be presented to the sellers realtor. I would recommend Dave for any high-quality roofing work required.

This went as smooth as silk. Dave was very receptive to our needs with timing and fortunately we needed the work done early in the season. He was the first to respond to our email request for quote, first to come out for an estimate, and the best price quoted with no upsale.

I went very well. I thought the communication, professionalism and punctuality were all great. They removed old shingles around the base of the chimney, added a moisture shield, step flash and replaced the removed shingles. The work was done very quickly. Dave was on site during the work. They saw something on the chimney itself that needs some work (work they don't do) and recommended someone to us.

Dane and his crew exceeded expectations. Quality of work was exceptional work was performed in a timely manor & site was kept clean and safe.

Dave is excellent to work with. We were out of town and came home to 3 feet of water in our basement. Dave's crew was already finishing repairs to the outside of our home when the basement flooded, he immediately shifted gears and went to work on restoration of our basement. Drywall and insulation had to be ripped out, baseboards and doors replaced not to mention all the water remediation. Again Dave worked very close with us and our insurance company guiding us through the process. He will be my go to contractor! I highly recommend him.
