John showed up on time and worked quickly and professionally.

Jon was able to schedule an appointment to come out the next morning. He called me and got the model information so he could have a belt ready, but unfortunately when he arrived (right after he called to say he'd be there), he found that the problem was larger than just a belt the transmission was kaput. He said it wouldn't be cost-effective to repair it, and recommended getting a new washer. I was disappointed, but glad that he could diagnose it so quickly. Jon was courteous, prompt, and communicated well, and seems to enjoy his job. He gave me good recommendations on what to look for when buying a new washer, and also gave me warnings about how to keep a new one working well. The only negative about his service, I'd say, was that the cost was just a bit more than I was expecting. Apparently I live just outside of his normal traveling range, so the cost was higher than that quoted on the list, but it seems to be about what other appliance repairmen charge. I'd hire him again.

John responded very quickly to my call for service. He was punctual and extremely professional. He disassembled the dryer quickly and found the "culprit" to our problem (a screw that fell out of my husband pocket). I would highly recommend his repair service and wouldn't think of using anyone else in the future. I found a "gem" through Angie's list.

They did a great job and gave us a discount. They were quick and explained everything so I could fix it again if we had the same problem. Super pleasant to work with!

I have no complaints about the service I received from John. He was thorough and explained everything that he did. His price was fair, he was on time, and I was able to schedule a day in advance from when I called that I wanted him, since I only had one day off from work to accomplish several maintenance tasks. His service schedule was quicker than when I would be available!

They came next day. This was a tricky problem and other companies couldn't figure it out, but they got it working correctly. I would use them again.

I had first called another repair shop that was closer to where I live, but was told by the receptionist their technician had just quit, and it would be another week before they could take any service calls. So I then called John and he said it would be later in the afternoon before he could get here to check it out. Later that afternoon he called and said he was on his way, and about fifteen later he arrived. John was very neat, professional, and courteous but not stuffy. He listened carefully to my description of the problem and disassembled the machine. He then showed me the damaged coupler, quoted a price and then made the repairs. Afterwards he made an adjustment to the incoming water flow & explained in detail how to properly load the machine, all at no extra cost. He explained this would help prolong the life of the machine. From the time I called, till the repairs were completed, must have all been within a four hour period. The machine has been operating flawlessly since then.

John came out & diagnosed reason, as to why my oven was no longer working. The clock function that regulates temp had gone bad. He charged $55 for the diagnosis. The clock part had to be ordered & this part cost $110.24 (inc tax) This was on 4-19. I was told the part would be in early next week. I had to call 8 days later to followup, since I had not heard anything from Mathew Appliance. I was told the part was not in yet. On Monday, 4-30, the part was in & John installed that morning. The labor charge for installation was $40.00. Total cost was $205. Other than the lack of a followup call, when the part didn't arrive as expected, I thought the price was fair and John was very nice & did a fine job. The oven works great! I would use him again.

John was very friendly and extremely quick to respond. He arrived at our home within an hour of our call and repaired the refrigerator quickly. He was extremely friendly and explained why the problem may have occurred.

Jon is an excellent workman, does a great job. Very clean and nice to have in your home.

The guy was really nice, very helpful and even recommended another person to come and clean the ducts out. I was very impressed with him.

Called because dryer taking hours to dry clothes. Called Mike and he arranged to come out same day. Arrived on time and inspected dryer. He determined that overall it seemed to be working appropriately, but that the fan was loose. He determined that this was probably not the cause of my dryer's problems. He suggested that the fan should be replaced due to dryer age as a preventative maintenance measure, but did not push it as a necessity at this time. He recommended a Dryer Vent specialist, as this is a separate area of expertise. I did have him replace the fan and he had a minimal charge for the service call (with my Angie's List discount). He was very friendly and professional. All around pleased with service.

He was prompt with his service and returning our initial phone call. He did good work and I would use him again.

Mr. Matthew came by and diagnosed our 7 year old refrigerator. He wasn't sure, because we'd cleaned it out if it was the defrost, the thermostat or parts on the compressor or the actual compressor itself. He gave us the option of replacing some or all of the parts. We replaced the parts and the fridge is now working wonderfully again. He cleaned up after his work and was very kind to work with me and my hectic schedule. I would recommend his work to anyone at any time.

John was very professional and he performed the work efficiently and quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again if another problem ever develops.

He sounded like a really good guy and I felt like he wasn't going to make a trip out here and charge me for it if it was something I could do myself and I really appreciated that.

This kind of behavior is just like John Mathew, any plumber would have charged me $60 - $80 just to come to the house! This guy just won't take payment unless he feels that he's fixed a problem. He's extremely personable and professional, I'm so glad I found him.

Since the dryer vent was located at the second floor level and he did not have an appropriate ladder to reach it he recommended a person who could do the work.

I called Mr. Matthew in the afternoon and he set an appointment for the next day. He showed up on time asked me a few questions about the "symptoms" my washing machine was showing. After diagnosing the possibility of a clogged water pump he promptly began the repair. He found my 10 month old's sock stuck in the water pump, put everything back together and tested it (all without getting water everywhere). After the repair was complete he explained how the problem had occurred and advised me on how to avoid the same thing happening in the future. Mr. Matthew was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend him to anyone needing any kind of appliance repair done.

It turns out the problem was with a starter switch and he got it fixed quite quickly. He made scheduling very easy and convenient for me. The owner himself was who came out. He was very clean cut and I felt comfortable having him in my home.

Called him first thing in morning. He answered and was at my house by 11:00 am. He had the parts and fixed my washer without delay.
