He thinks he found the source of the leak. He is ordering a Samsung part and we will go from there.

Quickly diagnosed issue with my dishwasher which could've caused a fire! Tried to get parts and when could not (it was only a 6 year old machine!). Advised me on on units to look at for replacement.

Diagnosed the problem on 25-Aug ($60 service call) and ordered the part (a bearing kit). Installed the new parts ($204 including parts, labor, and tax) on 27-Aug in about an hour, tested the washer (ran it through the cycles), and I was good to go (he recommended not using the washer until th next day to allow the sealant to dry/harden). I had some clean -up to do after he left (but it was a messy job and I hadn't cleaned behind the washer in years). Mr. Mathew was very nice, answered all my questions, and was clean cut (I didn't feel uncomfortable having him in my home).

I called John and told him about my error code. He ordered some possible parts and kept in touch with me letting me know how long it would take for them to arrive. As soon as they came, he made and appointment with me and arrived promptly. We decided that he would follow the recommendation for the error code and change the hot and cold water valves. He told me how much each part cost. He also cleaned out my drain for me since I reported that the washer was taking a very long time to drain. I have run several loads since then and all is well.

Very professional. Called for symptoms & model number, so would have replacement part. His expected problem was the actual problem and repaired quickly.

He came in and went straight to work. Popped the front off of the washer. Within 10 minutes I heard the washer spinning - which it hadn't before. He ran it 3-4 times to ensure it was working properly. And, he was done. I couldn't possibly be any happier!

I called at 8 a.m. He arrived at my house 2 hours later and had everything fixed and checked out within the hour. As always, I found him friendly, professional and most helpful. When I told him I was thinking about replacing the 10-year-old refrigerator, he told me what kind to look at and which kinds to avoid because of their repair record.

Left phone message on Saturday that our Maytag washer wasn't working. He returned the call first thing Monday morning and squeezed in a trip to assess what was wrong. He got the replacement part and returned first thing Wednesday as planned. Prompt, friendly, effective.

I've used Mathew Appliance Repair in the past, so I was comfortable with John's work. Our washing machine stopped running and I suspected it was a broken lid sensor. I contacted John and left him a message. He called me back and asked for the serial number and model number so he could check on the availability of parts. Once I got that to him he confirmed he could be out the next day to fix it if it indeed was the lid sensor. He came out and within an hour had the problem diagnosed and repaired. Washer works fine now. Very trustworthy as I wasn't able to be home during the service call. He used our garage code to access the home, performed his work and left a receipt on the counter. Would definitely recommend him.

It was nice because he came quickly. He was professional and very honest doesn't look for extra or unecessary work. He comes prepared, he finds out exactly the type of appliance you have and anticipates what type of parts he would need. He also guarantees parts and labor for 90 days. He is very highly recommended.

It went very well. The service man arrived when he said he would, and checked the washing machine for issues in the spin cycle. After his diagnostic, he thoroughly explained what might be causing the knocking and that what we were experiencing was actually normal. While the unit was under warranty, I had a service call for the same issue four years ago and that service provided replaced the shocks (at no cost to me), so I was prepared for a sizable repair bill. What I was most impressed with was his taking the time to explain why the unit was doing what it was doing, and also what I should look for in the future to be able to discern whether the unit is truly in need of repair. I will definitely call him again for all of my large appliance needs.

I would highly recommend Mathew Appliance Repair. The owner, John Mathew came out after our initial call to assess the situation. It was determined that we would need to have a part ordered from GE in order to fix a burner on our gas range. John explained everything up front so I was aware of what was going on. He even was able to order the part from GE right from my kitchen and let me know approximate delivery times. I was able to forget about the rest from here. John managed getting the part and notifying me when it was in. He was extremely flexible with scheduling and gave me many options. The repair went flawlessly and we have a fully operational gas range once again. Outside of repair itself, I would like to note that John is just an all around good person. He was professional yet down to earth and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend using this service for any appliance repair. I will continue to call him and his company in the future because of the great experience!

John left a message in the morning to expect him in the afternoon. Around 3 he arrived, was shown the laundry machine, and in less than a minute he had diagnosed the problem as a broken drive motor coupler. He advised against buying a new machine, since he believes this model is better than what is produced today in the same price bracket. He made the repair, showed me the broken piece, and lubricated underneath the tub to reduce the shock to the motor from each time the cycle stops. He also checked the belt on the dryer, which was fine and therefore no charge. We feel very good about the service provided, and will call John in case of future appliance problems.

I called about dryer that was making a lot of noise. John Mathew, the owner of Mathews Appliance Repair, came out and took a look at it and said that it needed a pulley on the motor as the current one is worn. He did not have one on hand, but did a temporary fix to quiet it down. John, then, assured me he would order the part and gave me expectiations until then. It took about 2 weeks for the part to come. John called one day and came right over to install the part. John has fixed my ice maker, my washer, my dishwasher and he is very good. Very personable, very quick to diagnose the problem. With our dishwasher, he said the only problem we are having is the use of too much soap. He recommended different soap and amount to use. Well worth his service charge, because his is advice is great! John listens to our needs and goes above and beyond. Very quick to respond, accomodates to schedules well, and a good person to have in your home. Very reasonable price for a washer and dryer overhaul. He is a one man shop!

I had all of the parts to fix the ice maker and needed a repair person to come out and fix the machine. The service man was nasty on the phone. He was not willing to be flexible with dates that I was available. He was very unprofessional. He did the scheduling for himself and I could tell that he was very disorganized.
