FLOORS SQUARED

Floors Squared did a wonderful job on our house. The initially thought it would take a 1.5 days to take out our tile and it took them three full days and they didn't ask for a penny more. The also provided us with some free floor cleaning materials. Because we were members of Angie's List we saved $500! Our floors look great and I have no complaints (and I am pretty picky). Seriously, I have not idea why, based on all of these "A" ratings and positive feedback why anyone would go anywhere else. Why risk it?

We had a couple of things to do after the job and they were very good about coming out after the job had been completed to finish those details. We would use them again.

They certainly made the experience easy to deal with upheaval of family life during process.

Overall it went very well. Mycal worked with an assistant, and they were both kind and friendly. Mycal proposed a keystone cut for the fireplace to give the look a boost, and it looks fabulous. He painted/put black metal stripping around the fireplace edges (which previously were white) to improve the look, and I love the results. I asked him to touch up some things, and he addressed everything (mortar smears on the walls; debris swept into the HVAC vents; replaced a 1 x 1.5 sq. inch section with tile (it was originally filled with grout)).

They were offering a discount and were very competitive. I decided to not do the project, but not because of them. They very much lived up their reputation with Angie's List.

We were impressed with Mycal's calm, professional demeanor from our first meeting, and his price was lower than another bid and definitely reasonable. We had some typical scheduling fits and starts while we waited on the product that was on backorder, but he was flexible, easy to reach, and available very soon after the flooring arrived. He was conscientious about the amount of money he spent on the glue for the job, going to 2 places to find a better deal for us. It took him two days to remove our carpeting and install the bamboo, trim and quarter round, working by himself. The floor is beautiful and we'll have Mycal and his workers back for more hardwood flooring and tile projects soon!

Michael the owner came out and measured and gave us an estimate the next day. We got another estimate and compared the two. I was more impressed with the what Michael was going to do. We went to the store and picked the style and color of the floor. We scheduled a time to have the floor installed, about 3 weeks out. We got our wires crossed and thought that the start was going to be on the Monday, but they called and said they would be out on Wednesday which was fine. Michael showed up early Wednesday morning to begin the work and started right away. Michael installed this flooring by himself. He was complete on Friday which was a little later than we had anticipated, but the job was done and looks beautiful. I would highly recommend Floor Squared the job was done close to the time we expected and the work was quality.

I bought a house and wanted the flooring to be installed before I moved in. I first visited the store and Katy provided a lot of information, including a preliminary estimate. Mike came out within a couple days to measure and said they would complete the work before I moved in. The installation was completed timely and the floors look great. Mike even installed trim in an area not finished by the previous owner. I would definitely use this company again.

They were very professional; Mike did the arranging and held true to estimate.

I found the exact carpet I wanted. Katie quoted a price of $3.59/sq.ft. with 8 lb padding. She wrote it down for me. I decided to have the estimate done. They used a person they don't normally use (Michael, the owner, was doing a project out of town). Katie called a week later with the estimate price of $3.67/sq.ft. After telling her she gave me a quote of $3.59 she said that she couldn't remember what she told me and she changed it (if I didn't catch it, would she have changed it anyway?). They called 24 hours later saying the estimate did not include the stairs. Michael added 150 sq.ft., which raised it by 25%. I disagreed. It was way above other estimates. If I didn't disagree who would have paid for the extra? Michael came out to remeasure and said that the original estimate was fine (said orig. measurements were confusing). I did not feel comfortable choosing them after all this. I did find another dealer who did it for less (even below the Angie's List discount from Floors2).

We did not hear back after a couple of weeks so we called to follow-up. Our call was not returned.

THE OWNER/OPERATOR IS VERY SKILLED. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING.

Mike responded very quickly to my call. He worked with me to get my business instead of just getting me a price, and letting it go. His price was very competitive. They job was done quickly, and looks wonderful. If I need flooring in the future I know I will use him again. No surprises on the final bill.

They did a really good job and we were very pleased.

Mike was able to start the same week he came over to bid the project...which was a huge plus for us. Two and a half days later he was finished. Overall we couldn't be happier with Mike and the quality of the installation. We're so satisfied that we're getting some carpet replaced and will definitely have Floors Squared do the job. We've already recommended him to our friends who are having their carpets replaced. Great job Mike and THANKS!

FROM THE TIME I CONTACTED MIKE TO THE FINISHED JOB WAS 2 WEEKS. I LEFT A MESSAGE THE FIRST DAY. HE RETURNED THE CALL THE NEXT. I WENT TO THE STORE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, AND HE SHOWED ME PRODUCTS AND GAVE ME SAMPLES TO TAKE HOME TO SEE WHAT I LIKED. I CALLED HIM THE NEXT MONDAY, AND HE INSTALLED ON THE WEEKEND IN 2 DAYS. THEY REMOVED AND TOOK AWAY OLD FLOORING. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THE JOB FINISHED.

Assisted in the selection and explained options. Was patient with delays created by other contractors. Scheduled the installation on short notice.

Michael was very helpful in the selection of the flooring explaining the differences in types of hardwood and laminates. The installation was delayed by other work and Michael worked around the delays. He did the installation on short notice without any complaints. The installation was done quickly and well. He cleaned up after he was finished.

Assisted in the selection of carpet. Installation went well. He was patient with other contractor delays and scheduled the installation on short notice. The ordered carpet was not available; he upgraded with no additional cost to me.

Floors Squared was one of the few on Angie's list with an A rating that would install homeowners product. Estimate was within 24 hours of original phone call. Job started within a week after contract was accepted. Work with finished within a timely manner. Mike did a good job of communicating what he was doing and if he had to leave or was going to be late. He was a hard worker and came up with a great solution for going around a large curving brick hearth. We are extremely pleased with the look of our new floors! Mike quickly responded to questions about care and maintenance after the job was finished.

Very pleased with the whole experience. Mike did a great job and was very easy to work with. He returned calls quickly and went above and beyond to get this installed quickly. Ordered it on Thursday and he installed it on Saturday. He was also very good at helping to select the correct product and color for the space. I would definitely use Floors Squared again.

Everything went just as I expected. This is the third time I have used this company and they never let me down. They are helpful, professional and very efficient.

I couldn't be happier with the work they did. They were prompt, cleaned up when they were done and were very professional. I would recommend they to anyone and will continue to use them.

Everything went perfect. They came when they said they would. When I said I didn't want the metal strips at the threshold they said they didn't know if they would be able to get it to work without them. They worked and worked at it until they were able to do it the way I wanted it. I'm sure they didn't make the money on the labor they were counting on but the didn't changed what they charged me. I am so pleased I'm going to have them do the flooring in my family room and kitchen.

Mike called me back right away after I called him. He was very responsive to my requests and came out quickly to give me an estimate. Mike did a very good job and was very clean and very detailed. He cleaned up everything when he left and I was very happy with the work he did.
