Jay Fairman (owner) did a great job overall. Jay is an excellent handyman, and will tell you what he can/will do and what is outside his scope of work (e.,g, any roof work). I have used Jay twice so far. He arrives on time, and talks with you thoroughly ahead of time so he (or you) will have what is needed to do the necessary repairs. For example, on the first day I worked with Jay (not the date of this review), Jay met me at Lowes so we could pick up the 2 toilets he was to install that day. He loaded them into his truck/Jeep and we drove to my house. One of the very nice things is that when materials need to be purchased to do the repairs, Jay will go to Lowes (or wherever), get the materials, then show up on the date/time and do the work. He obviously charges you for the cost of the materials but does not charge you for the time to purchase the items. Interpersonally, it is very easy to work with Jay. He welcomes your thoughts and input, respects your decisions, and will do his own background work on his own time if he needs to look something up. Overall, I highly recommend Jay Fairman.

Hands down, this was the best experience I've had with an Angie's List contractor. Jay arrived on time, worked methodically all day, and even warned me (and my dog) whenever his compressor was going to be making a lot of noise. Throughout the entire process, he kept me apprised of what he had to do -- including adding some caulking around the exterior door frame because the new frame was just a bit smaller than the original. He expertly installed the new door hardware and deadbolt and reinstalled my original doorbell. The finished project looks great! He thoroughly cleaned up after all the work was done (work on both doors took the whole day), and he even offered to haul away my old front door so I wouldn't have to deal with the inconvenience of getting rid of it. What's more, upon overhearing me discussing how frustrated I was that my garbage disposal wasn't working -- and that I couldn't find a reset switch -- he offered to take a look at it. Within less than 5 minutes, it was fixed and working again! I can't recommend Jay highly enough! In fact, before he left, I discussed another repair I need to make outside my home and we agreed on terms for him to do that project as well. If you need a top-quality contractor for all sorts of "handyman-type" projects, you won't be disappointed with Jay.

Jay Fairman, owner, came out and worked on one of our bathroom toilets. It had been leaking off and on for awhile. He found the problem was a leaky seal under the toilet. He removed the toilet and repaired the seal. It is now perfect. Jay has been our handyman and friend forever and we continue to use him for any home repairs that he is able to do. He will tell you if he is unable to do certain things and help with referrals if he can. We would highly recommend him for any handyman services you might have and can depend on his good work and cleanup.

Jay has done many jobs for us before and we have always been very happy, both with his work and the price. He finished quickly, cleaned up everything and was done in less than a day. We call him a few times a year and do not know what we would do without him. He has replaced door hardware, finished our basement and done many miscellaneous jobs around out house.He is not only the best but a truly nice guy as well!

I've used him several times. He did a great job with my table. He applied a piece of plexiglass to the top of my table to prevent it from molding/mildew so that my cats could continue to eat off of it. He's very polite, professional and full of great ideas. I will continue to use him in the future and would highly recommend him to others.

Jay is the only handyman I will use. The exhaust fan was making a vibrating noise every time it was used. Jay was able to secure it correctly saving me the cost of having a new one installed. Great guy! Consistently great service!

Jay is super. He is punctual and efficient, always starting work immediately. This time he fixed my patio light so it would come on from dusk to dawn.

When Jay installed the water filter unit on 08/05/2013, neither of us knew it would require an outlet under the kitchen sink. Jay returned for this visit. He installed the outlet and completed the installation of the water filter unit. It works perfectly. After a multi-room painting job, I had to have 3 valances and a quite a number of pictures rehung. Jay worked consistently, getting everything back in place. As important, he gave suggestions and several pictures were put up in a different way than the original. His suggestions were spot on and I have so enjoyed the end result. I remain very very happy with Jay's work and customer service. He is so kind. After he finished his work for me, he voluntarily gave me a hand moving several pieces of furniture back in place. By the time he left, I felt my order in my home was restored. He is absolutely the best!

I discovered that a couple of the wire shelves in the closet were pulling out from the wall. Jay was able to re-secure them so I didn't have to buy new shelving. He arrived promptly and got the work done in record time. Another thing I appreciate about Jay is that he is flexible and can work around my schedule for these small jobs.

The new water filter system Jay installed a few months ago requires filter changes every so often. I found I was not able to do it myself so I hired Jay for the task. He also repaired 3 wooden chairs which had wobbly legs and backs. He installed cabinet pulls in the three bathrooms. I've hired Jay for many jobs over the last couple of years. The quality of his work and his professionalism has remained consistently high. That's is a pretty impressive record for one person, especially given the variety of tasks and projects he has done for me.

Replacing the light bulb in the fan in the two story family room was not easy. Jay carefully brought in his ladder and was able to remove the light cover and replace the specialty bulb. He also replaced the upstairs hall light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. He installed the cleaning cartridge for the new water filter system and then replaced the main cartridge when the cleaning process was completed. He secured a rack with baskets on the closet door. Again, I think this visit shows the variety of skills in Jay's "tool kit". I am very grateful to have found him. He certainly deserves the Super Service Award for all the years he has received it, including 2013!

For this visit, Jay was here several hours and accomplished a long list of items. As always his work is of the highest quality. One of the things that I really appreciate is that, when finished, he always asks me if there is anything else I need done. A true professional! Installed countertop water filter unit - This type of installation was new to Jay. He read the instructions, installed the main filter under the counter and installed the faucet for the unit on the sink. He joked he could now add installing a Life Ionizer to his resume. When done, it worked perfectly. Fixed under kitchen sink door hinge - This cabinet door became loose quite frequently. Jay secured it properly and it has stayed in place ever since. Hung a few pictures - Jay has a very good eye for hanging pictures. I was very pleased once they were up. Attached Door/drawer handles in kitchen - I bought pulls for all my kitchen cabinetry and he attached them (30 in all) Repositioned bed - After the master bedroom was painted and striping added to the wall, the bed was "off center". Jay was able to position it perfectly. Adjusted coat closet basked support - the supporting rod came loose and he secured it properly Secured Small towel bar in master bath Replaced handle and lock on storm door - he went to the store, bought the replacement handle and fixed the storm door. I think this list shows the variety of tasks and projects Jay can handled. Everything was done perfectly. I am so pleased with his work.

Jay returned to do several small jobs. Secured loft wind chime hanger Finished hanging pictures - there were a few that we did not get to on his visit on 08/24/2013 only because I ran out of energy that day Attach 6 cabinet pulls in dining room Repositioned loft closet shelves - These shelves now are positioned for more efficient storage and organization Fixed raised screws on master bath transition - a minor thing but annoying because the raised screws were sharp. Not anymore! Fixed leg on rebounder - The legs on this rebounder were supposed to fold down, but one was really stuck. Jay persevered and now they all fold down for easy storage! Fixed loft closet doors - These doors were not shutting correctly and Jay fixed them As always, very pleased with his work and customer service attitude.

Jay, who I've used on another job years ago, contacted me the same day I left a message with Angie's List and we set a time to do the job. We set a date for the job and also a time for him to get measurements when he was to be in the neighborhood on another job. I was to supply the door and Jay would get the other necessary pieces of wood and supplies. Jay called when he was enroute and arrived promptly. Jay did a professional job and didn't slow down a bit when an unforeseen problem cropped up. Jay not only installed the door but also made sure that I knew how to operate the closures. I definitely would recommend Jay and so would several of my neighbors who also have used Jay for a variety of projects.

He showed up EXACTLY on time (Bonus Points!!) and ready to start on our list of repair items. He quickly and quietly performed all of our tasks. He also volunteered to drive to a hardware store to get a different model of garage light timer. We are very happy with the results of his repair efforts and will be using him in the future for other projects.

Would highly recommend him to anyone. Very efficient and works quickly, and gets the job done in a timely manner. You can trust this man in your home. Work performed in our home replaced screen door, hinges in kitchen cabinetry, replaced new screen in window, replaced draft molding around entire front entry door, secured carpet strip, fixed our weber grill. Jay will come to your home and give you a free estimate. Very reasonable in pricing. Very nice and trusting guy.

I contacted Jay Fairman to set up an appointment to give us an estimate to provide a variety of different small projects. He responded very quickly and we set a date for him to assess our requests. He provided a detailed estimate for approximately 10 different activities, and we decided to move forward. He set a date to do the work, arrived on time, and completed all the work in one day. We had multiple doors adjusted or repaired, window latch replaced, weather sealing done on a garage door, fixed a cabinet latch and several additional small projects. He was very professional, cleaned up after each activity, and completed everything on our list. We will definitely plan to contact Jay again to do additional work and already discussed a couple of additional needs.

Never got back to us with an estimate or told us he couldn't do the work. Did not respond to my follow up call.

I have used Jay for so many various projects, I am just now getting around to writing a review because I want everyone to know how wonderful of a job he does. And as a bonus, the cost for his services is far below the competition. He is very knowledgeable, professional and can usually squeeze an appointment in relatively quickly. I live in a condominium... and he is quickly becoming a household name among the neighbors as we have all used his services and feel the same.

Our kitchen chandelier "fell apart" yesterday and was hanging only by the electrical wire. I called Jay this morning and he came over in 15 minutes and fixed the light so it is now safe to use. He also installed the coat rack in the laundry room and went to the store to purchase a globe light and installed that, as well. Jay is fantastic. We have had him do work for us for many years now and he does excellent work and is very reasonable!!!

When my son was staying at my home following surgery on his ankle he could not get in the shower stall due to the cast on his leg. Jay Fairman (Eagle Handyman Service) removed the shower doors the same day I requested the service and later, when my son was no longer at my home, replaced the shower doors. (My son paid the bill for the work.) Jay is efficient, neat, clean, prompt and all the good descriptive adjectives.

We have used Eagle Handyman services many times. Jay always shows up when scheduled and works in an efficient manner. Jay was able to work us into his schedule on short notice which was much appreciated. I would rate Jay's service A+ if that was an option.

He was on time and very pleasant and professional. I will definitely call him again.

Jay did a great job and we will definitely use him for any future projects. He was very courteous and professional.

Things were left in great shape. Every job has been completed to above my expectations.
