 + -1 moreThe owner and all of the personnel at the company were very responsive and detailed in their communication. The work was done in a timely and professional fashion. The cost was quite high overall, but I think it was fair given the work that was completed. I recommend Computer Trouble Shooters and would use them again for my computer repair needs.
Description of Work: The harddrive on my Macbook Pro crashed. I took it to the Apple store and they confirmed that it was no longer operable. Apple suggested that I take the laptop to a recovery specialist to see if I could retrieve my data. I searched for a Storefront offer on Angie's List for disk recovery. I found a Storefront offer provided by Computer Trouble Shooters. I purchased the offer for $259. I called the company to schedule a drop off time and get more information. The owner indicated that Storefront voucher was good for an in-house recovery and if this was not successful they would send the drive to a clean lab which would be much more expensive, but would have a better chance of recovery in difficult situations. Unfortunately, the drive needed to be sent off-site to a clean room environment. This ended up costing approximately $1000. The cost for this type of service can vary depending on the damage and volume of data. In the end the data was recovered. Vacation photos, family videos, tax returns and a variety of data from the past several years was recovered. I also had Computer Trouble Shooters install a new hard drive in my Macbook Pro and format it with the Mac OS.

 + 0 moreI found the computer and 4 in 1 printer I wanted in Feras' store back in February. I waited a month to be sure I couldn't do better anywhere else then went back to purchase it in March. The price was right and I knew the service was outstanding since he had worked on my old computer a couple of years ago. My grandchildren were happy to take it home with them and are still enjoying it's benefits!Feras delivered the items to my home, set everything up, explained operations and answered all my questions. Once I was "alone with my computer", I REALLY had questions. Feras was able to walk me through all my issues over the phone and offered to return if I needed more help. I am very pleased with the service and the product!

Mr. Mash came the next day and located my problem in very short time. I was pleased with his work. He showed me how to correct the error, in case it happened again.
Description of Work: I called for a service to my home, Mr. Mash, the owner came the next day and completed the work that I needed done in a timely fashion. Although, his coupon stated discount for in store only, he gave me the discount. I was pleased with his work and will definitely call him again, if I have a problem

 + 0 moreMy laptop computer had crashed and after much research and a little hesitation I brought it to Computer Troubleshooters. All I can say is that they were great. The owner Feras is very professional and knowledgable about computers. He and his team were very helpful in trying to solve the problem with my computer. I had bought an extended warranty with my laptop and Feras even spoke with them giving them a detailed account of the issue involved, knowing that I would probably be sending it off to for warranty repair. I even had a coupon from Angie's list that paid for the diagnostic. After spending quite a bit of time with me over several days I ended up having to send it off for repair only because the repais here locally could have cost me more than the computer was worth. He completely understood and was so nice through it all. I would definitely reccommend Computer Troubleshooters of Carmel to anyone who is in need of computer repair.

Computer Troubleshooters completed the hard drive data transfer of my entire hard drive content to an external hard drive I purchased separately for such an item. It was well worth the money - since I have not had the time and kept putting it off.

 + -1 moreThis the second time I have used this company. The first time was for repair and clean up of my daughter's computer last fall. Mitch performed the service and called the day after to see if all was well and if we had any questions. He called again after a week and then again after a month. She continues to have no issues with the computer. I returned with my own computer last week and and am competely happy with the service I received. I left it for an estimate. He called the next day to let me know what he found and what he proposed to do. It took 2 days for the repair, clean up and installation of a anti-virus software. He called the day after I picked it up to see if I saw any lingering issues. I expect another call in a week! The prices seem very reasonable. I will definitely use them for any future computer needs.
Description of Work: Mitch provided an estimate within a day of what he felt needed to be done to fix the issues I was having. He cleaned up all unnecessary programs that were slowing down and sometimes freezing the computer. I ofter got black areas on the screen where an window had been after closing the window. I also got a new anti-virus program installed that he had previously installed on my daughter's computer last fall that she has been very happy with.

 + -1 moreAlthough our laptop is approximately 8 years old, it is still pretty operational but over the past couple of years, had gotten slower and connection from our icons did not seem to be working. My husband and I thought it was worth a try to have a free diagnosis. I liked Feras Mash at Troubleshooters He was very professional, polite, and assured me that with a PC tune up, it would run better and although it has just been one day, I am very pleased. Feras also told me that if I had any questions, or if I found any problem, to bring it back into him. Excellent Customer Service. Thanks Feras!

 + 0 moreFeras recommended new "cloud based" filing system software and vendor to replace our archaic paper system. He also recommended a new VOIP phone system. He made all of the necessary contacts with the vendors and set up initial training sessions. He participated in the majority of the training sessions, either in person or offisite via phone/internet. Throughout the entire process, Feras was extremely responsive and worked around our office schedule, often performing the necessary work during evenings or weekends. He is also very easy to reach - if unable to talk with us immediately he would always return calls promptly. We are actively using the new filing system and it is going well. We have not yet implemented the new phone system but plan to in the near future. Feras was also successful in troubleshooting our wireless network connection problems at home including upgrading one laptop. We are very happy with the work performed. Computer Troubleshooters charges a higher hourly rate than other IT consultants we have used in the past, however, we believe it is worth it to work with a consultant who is clearly knowledgeable and quickly provides the results we need.
Description of Work: We hired Computer Troubleshooters (Feras Mash) to evaluate systems utilized in our small business office and to recommend/implement new systems to improve efficiency in our office. We also hired him to troubleshoot wireless network issues in our home.

 + -1 moreComputer Troubleshooters recently moved into the office next door to the shop where I get my haircut. As we had been having trouble with our PC running slowly I stopped in after getting my haircut one day, spoke with them and asked them to come out and determine what our problem was. Someone came to our home within a couple days and spent 3 hours doing a cleanup and overall tune-up on the PC. We are very pleased with the outcome and would recommend them to anyone having PC problems.
Description of Work: Tuned up our PC and ran diagnostics determining the reason it was running so slowly. It now runs great.

 + -1 moreCalled Friday to see if they could fix my laptop's power jack. They said no problem, they would order the part and it would be in on Monday or Tuesday. Dropped off the laptop on Monday and was told the part was on back-order but would be in mid week. Called to check on Thursday and was told the part had not yet been ordered because of a "miscommunication". They called back a half hour later to report that, after looking at the laptop for the first time, they were not comfortable working on my high end laptop because it had been taken apart previously. Totally wasted my time.

 + -1 moreMy college age daughter's laptop wouldnt connect to the internet wirelessly or through a dedicated line. A perfectly good laptop just sitting on a shelf. She had taken it to her college IT people who referred her to the "squad" at a big box retailer for more expert repair. The "squad told her it would never connect to the internet due to some fatal flaw internally. I decided to challenge this judgement and asked Feras Mash at Computer Troubleshooters in my town to give me a "third" opinion. Just like that his team diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote that was very reasonable and within two days of dropoff my daughter's laptop was functioning like new and connecting to the home wireless network and public wi-fi networks without hesitation! No more "squad work for this family. From now on my troubleshooting is done by the team at Computer Troubleshooters!
