Description of Work: I was trying to pull my wood bed across the room and heard a crack... I split a peice of the wood frame. He came out and repaired the crack and touched up the stain as well. Awesome job, will use again.

Description of Work: I had an old family rocking chair that had been exposed to heat & cold, thus wearing away the finish. The joints were also lose and had to be glued. The provider glued the chair & refinished it, so it looks new.

Description of Work: He just gave a very high estimate. I had been quoted $300 in the past without pick up - $600 minus the $200 that I paid for came to way o erthe other estimate. I felt that he was price gouging . I will never go to him or recommend him.

Description of Work: I purchased the coupon thinking I could get my kitchen table sanded, stained and polyurethaned for $99.00 When Craig came out to pick up the table ( on time as we agreed) he estimated the cost of the job as close to $900.00. He pointed out that the coupon was for $200.00 off the cost of a job. Plain and simple this is basically a misunderstanding primarily on my part. Thanks for you help on this.

Description of Work: I called the company and asked in advance of even ordering the deal, if the amount of $99, which was the special, would cover the cost of the refinishing, I even referred to a table similar to one on their website. I was told yes. However, when I got there, he said it would be between $500 & $700. I was totally surprised, especially since I had called and gave a reference to a very similar table. That was not a value to me. I told him I was sorry about the miscommunication, but that I had specifically asked before bringing in the item, even before ordering it, so I would be sure. I told him I would be asking for a refund.

 + -1 moreHe took the spindel, repaired it with the insert of a dowel rod and refinished the piece to blend the crack and you can't even tell it was ever broken. He was amazing and I am elated with the outcome. I learned that he is also a furniture designer/crafter and although I don't need any of that right now, I saw what he could do and you might want to also. It is stunning work. I was so pleased with his service

Description of Work: Craig has made a mantle, bathroom vanity, and table for us. His work is extremely well done. When in your home, he works quietly and without any disturbance to the home owner. He's a nice man to have around, too. I'm sure we will use him again in the future.

Description of Work: I have a danish-design bedroom set, and I wanted to have the supporting frame & slat structure on the bed raised in order to raise the mattress. Craig came out to look at the furniture and recommended a solution to achieve what I was after. He had a very thoughtful approach to his work, and provided excellent quality for a reasonable price. I could tell that he is very meticulous about his work. I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend him.

 + -1 moreWe are very happy with his work. He even repaired a piece of veneer that had come off from the edge, blending it with the rest of the wood so that it is not noticeable at all now.
Description of Work: Refinishing and re-gluing mid-century mahogany desk. This handsome desk was originally used in a Marshall Fields store in Chicago. We intend to keep it for a very long time. Craig Mann did a beautiful job of repairing loose joints and sticking drawers, as well as lightly sanding, staining and sealing the top of the desk. He even polished the brass drawer knobs and other brass pieces. It is gorgeous.

 + -1 moreWe simply could not have been happier with Craig's effort and his dependability. We also felt he was very fair in his pricing. Craig is creative as well as a true craftsman, the perfect combination.
Description of Work: In redecorating our great room we wanted to replace the oak railing's Early American spindles in our second story loft/office that overlooks the great room below. Craig Mann designed and built a beautiful, espresso stained contemporary railing with zebra wood veneered panels on one side and cherry panels on the other. Craig also designed and built a sleek, contemporary styled mantel for our brick fireplace. In addition, as a courtesy to us, he did some trim carpentry work to finish our great room redecorating project (the cost of which is not included in figure above).

 + -1 moreIn 1925 my grandparents were given a beautiful mahogany dining set for a wedding gift from the furniture company my grandfather worked for at that time. The pieces were moved to Indianapolis from my parents home in Boston, where the furniture originated. We were devastated when the dining table was unwrapped and found to be broken into two pieces. We selected Paradigm Furniture Design to restore the table to as close as its original condition prior to the break as possible. Craig Mann proved to us he is an outstanding artisan in his field. Craig came out to our house and spent quite a bit of time examining the table and explaining to me options for repairing the table. He meticulously disassembled the table, wrapped it, and took it to his shop to repair. Craig communicated with me frequently as the repair progressed. Craig did such outstanding work on the table that the break is barely detectable, and only then by the eye that knows it is there.
Description of Work: Mahogany dining table broken across width into two separate pieces. To repair the table break, the table was reglued, then touched up and refinished to hide and blend in repairs to the table.

He can also design furniture. He does a great job matching the colors. His pricing varies depending on the intensity of the work. He does marvelous work!
Description of Work: Resurfaced 1940's cherry table tops that were destroyed, and early 1930's kitchen table & chairs restored after water damage. Tightened up & refinished rocker that was over 100 years old. He put back together a wood damaged square side table.
