Description of Work: Sold and installed ceramic non-vented logs and thermostat system. The two gentlemen retrofitting the fireplace did a very good job. I had a concern about one aspect of the installation and called Mowery the next day. Mowery had the sales tech expert out the next day tol review the question with me. I was very satisfied with his explanation. I was impressed with the total effort and turned over all my furnace, air, humidifier, heat pump, water heater etc service contracts.

Description of Work: Appointment went fine. He was very nice, tried multiple options to fix the problem, but it was a bigger issue than just cleaning the pipes. Left me some good suggestions and said he would not charge, since nothing was fixed.

Description of Work: Set appointment for 8 AM-Noon time frame. The plumber called and informed me he was enroute. Here by 8:45. Mike was very pleasant and asked questions to understand exactly which service was needed. He performed service, tested and found he needed a different piece to complete work, swapped pieces, retested and I was satisfied. He offered a solution for routine maintenance, cleaned all his work area and done in a timely fashion Will use again if I have a plumbing need. Mike is an outstanding representative for his company and the service industry. Thanks

Description of Work: The folks at Mowery were extremely pleasant and check the gas logs I could not get to light at home. The service technician found the problem within 20 minutes or sooner, and, because it was simply a button that was not in the correct position, he charged me nothing for his time and trouble. I would definitely recommend Mowery to anyone who is in need of a good, dependable, HVAC business' service.

Description of Work: Replaced all shut-off valves in the kitchen.

Description of Work: When having the A/C tuneup performed the blower and compressor capasitors were outside of manufactures specifications. I told the Tech. that the Compressor had been replaced, at considerable expense, by Mowery in July 2009 and should be under warrenty, but was told it was beyond the warrenty date. Later I stopped by their office and complained again and was told the Tech. was correct about the warrenty, but they would refund the cost of the compressor capasitor. I felt under the circumstances they met me half way for good customer relations and I would recommend them to others.

Description of Work: I discovered around 4 pm that we had only lukewarm water in the house, instead of the normal hot water. Since our water heater was still under warranty, I searched the manufacturer for local repair company. Mowery was able to send someone out within the hour. The technician discovered the circuit breaker had flipped off because the bottom heating element in the water heater had corroded over and been eaten almost all the way through, but not completely, hence the power was arcing and that was what flipped the breaker. He drained the water heater, scraped out as much of the lime as he could, flushed it out, and replaced the bottom water heater element. He explained the cause and what we could do to prevent it. When it was time to pay, he showed me a coupon I could use to save the $85 diagnostics charge and gave us credit on the element since it was covered under the warranty. He told me about the company's yearly maintenance plan. All in all, I was very satisfied with the timely and efficent manner the problem was handled. Oh, and, of course, we have hot water again.

Description of Work: I obtained an estimate to install a natural gas heater in the garage.

Description of Work: Our A/C had frozen over and was low on freon on one of the first really hot days oft year. Mowery scheduled an appointment for that afternoon and called ahead. The technician quickly identified the issue and quickly got unit running. we purchased a maintenance plan for them to come and inspect our furnace this winter. My wife also commented on how professional and respectful of our house while they were here and how they cleaned up after themselves. We will use them again for our HVAC needs!

Description of Work: We were getting estimates for replacing our furnace and A/C. They came out promptly, did a thorough analysis of our current system. They recommended a replacement. Although we feel Lennox is the best, it was also the most expensive. We are retired, and didn't choose to spend that much for a system that would be around longer than we will. But we we happy with the representative, and his thoroughness.

Description of Work: They installed a whole-house humidifier and a UV light in the air duct system in my home

Description of Work: The duct work in my office was not properly installed by the company the builder used. It was always too hot or too cold. Tim Shields from Mid-West came out and immediately noticed that the system was too small for the size of the building and the duct work was not properly installed nor were there enough air returns! Mid-West was hired to fix the duct work, install additional returns and place a UV light in the duct work to kill bacteria and viruses. The work was done promptly, professionally and all in one day. It was a big job and they left not a sign that they had even been in the building

Description of Work: I was having some problems with my AC unit. Mid-West came out and gave me an honest opinion (the same one that I had been given by others since my AC unit was over 20 years old). Their staff and pricing were excellent and they even brought a temporary AC unit to keep us cool while the work was being done.

Description of Work: While we were on vacation our furnace went out. We feared it was a goner because it is about 15 years old. Mowery came out immediately and gave us some recommendations on how to get it up and running and to preserve it another few years....it is still in awesome shape a year later!

Description of Work: Returned to replace transformer in furnace. Checked to make sure it functioned properly before leaving.
