I've waited several days to submit this report, because I still can't grasp that the problem is actually fixed! We lived in our house for 1.5 years and plumbing has always been bad. Especially the toilets, they just didn't want to flush properly. We called a different plumbing company to our house twice before. Nothing was fixed, despite paying around $500 total, and being quoted another $1000+. Finally joined Angie's list and found Mowery. I am so grateful that we did! Mike arrived at our house around 1:30 and began investigating the problem. After 4 hours and having to call in another plumber to help (London), They found that our toilets were not clogged, they simply did not have proper ventillation. One more hour of repair work and my toilets now flush beautifully. It would have been worth at least twice what we paid for all the time and effort they put into our home. Thank you!

It was on Super Bowl Sunday and they came up the next day to repair it. They were responsive. They did a nice job in repairing it. They had to dig down outside next to the foundation and take out the water line coming in and replaced it and repair it. In terms of price, I don’t know how I would compare it - it was kind of an emergency thing. They seemed to do a decent job. The quality of their work has been good so far. I would use them again if needed.

They're prompt and I am satisfied with their service.

We have a new home and there was an issue with the house that we were selling. It was a very quick fix. I didn't deal with them myself. They were just very friendly and very helpful.

Mike (the plumber) arrived and before coming into our house pulled on shoe covers. He fixed the problem and thoroughly cleaned up the mess that was made in our bathroom while removing the fixture. He was pleasant and very professional - we would absolutely ask for this person again. We have not been happy with the plumbers we have had in the past because they were too expensive, too messy, unprofessional and/or expected us to sit around and wait for them all day. We wouldn't hesitate to call this company again. Update: After only 2 and a half years, this toilet is leaking through the ceiling forcing us to pay for a plumber and someone to repair the drywall. Very disappointed by the short amount of time that has lapsed since we had this fixed.

Mid-West was fine. They did what they were supposed to do and the ducts were pretty dusty. They got it all out. They were professional and they did their job correctly. They went about their business independently without needing my help every second.

The service and response were excellent. I initially suspected a premature sump pump failure. To my embarrasment it was simply the plug in for the pump switch that had dislodged from the electrical outlet sometime during the winter. The plug itself was barried under the grass surrounding the outlet. The service technician inspected the system, located the problem and had the system operating in about 3 minutes. The only fee charged was the minimum service charge.

The plumber had lots of problems installing the new kitchen faucet due to conditions already present. He had to make a trip back to get more parts. Also had to make a trip to Lowes for parts when he repaired the bathroom faucets. Replacing the flappers went off without a hitch. No extra charges for the much longer than anticipated time he was here. I felt the price was ridiculously high for replacing the flappers (almost $44 a piece) but ends up the cost for the faucet repairs were worth it as we never could have done them ourselves. We had a coupon so the $85 service fee was taken off plus a 10% senior discount and also a reduced price because we have a service agreement with them for ac/heating. Our bill before discounts was $493 and after discounts was $338.

I discovered that my furnace wasn't working at about 6 pm on a Monday. I called Mowery at about 6:05 and by 6:50 the technician was already gone, having replaced my burned out ignition switch and I had heat again. The service was very fast and professional.

The technician/installer Heath was very professional and clearly explained the issue with the electronics all of the options and pricing for me to consider. He was able to schedule the new water heater and the installation for the next day. His installation work was excellent and for no additional charge corrected the builder?s poorly installed venting piping. He was extremely neat laying out drop cloths, keeping the work area clean and doing a thorough clean-up when the installation was finished. His plumbing work was excellent. He replaced the original shut offs for the water heater and his soldering and pipefitting was outstanding.

I am a gold member and pay $160.00 per year.

We bought a very good system through them. It was a great product. Everyone at the company was very kind. I was even able to speak to the owner on several occasions.

They were fabulous. The price was not bad at all.

We have had them for years and have always been satisfied with their work.

I have a good feeling from them. They are honest and they honor their warranties without any problems. They give me a window of time for appointments and they show up within that time.

They are really outstanding. They will call me a heads up before something needs to be done. If they need to do something outside of the usual service contract, they will call ahead and ask to make sure that is OK to proceed. They will call my tenants when they go to my rental properties and arrange a time with them for when they need servicing.

Their service staff is exemplary. They go out of the way to do services for me when I have questions for them. They will take the time to talk and they never seem impatient. They set up appropriate times for me for appointments. I have always been happy with them over the years and the workers they send out to do the work. They are extremely polite. They never seem to be in a hurry.

The furnace worked fine all winter and still working today. They are neat, clean and on time. We have worked with them for a long time and they have since changed ownership and so far so good.

Serviceman was professional, communicated what he was doing and why very well, did a thorough job, and left the work space cleaner than he found it. I will request same serviceman for future plumbing needs. I could not be more satisfied.

I visited Lowes hardware and did some checking on hardware. (1 options was to buy my own hardware and they would install). I learned I could buy just a diverter which that was really cheap. But I ended up buying hardware and a friend installed it all for me. Cost was better for my pocket book. However if I had to go along time without the shower. I would recommend Mowery though and would have used them if I had to do over.

They were excellent and will not hesitate to use them again. They were certainly upfront and did a fine job. They showed up on time and immediately started working and did everything. They were super good and excellent. The workman work all courteous and worked professionally. I will use them in future.

The Mowery service technician came out within 2 hours after calling, which on a Sunday is very good in my opinion. He worked on the furnace and diagnosed the problem but then proceeded to try and "scare" me into buying a new furnace, intimating that I might die of carbon monoxide poisoning and asking me if I had a detector, and saying that he could make this repair but given how old the furnace was, would it not be smarter for me to replace it? After all, he suggested, he could do this repair now and be back in a few months for some other issue. The furnace was nearly 20 years old but I also was getting ready to put the house on the market, so I was torn between buying a new one or making the repair. Fortunately for me, I have a friend who designs furnaces, so I called him for advice. He spoke directly to the Mowery guy on the phone and then told me that the service tech was being dishonest. He did agree that my furnace was old but did not think the issue was one that should make me afraid for my well-being. He also said he thought the amount I was being charged was high for the nature of the repair. In the end, I had the Mowery tech make the repair and sold the house 3 months later. The repair he made seemed to fix the furnace and it ran well after that. But given the dishonest and coercive tactics he used, when I started to look for a new furnace for my newly-purchased house this year, Mowery was NOT on my list of potential providers.

We had noticed some mineral deposits on the outside of our 8-year-old gas furnace where it looked like a little bit of water was running down the side, so we called Mowery to come out, do a cleaning and check out this problem. Good thing we did! They found a cracked transition plate that, if left undiscovered, would have let the condensate continue to run everywhere in the furnace and resulted in an early failure. The technician stated that this was a common problem in our neighborhood, so do yourself a favor and get an annual inspection. It could save you from a much larger bill! Their technician was prompt, professional, and the bill was reasonable ($45 for replacing the part; $158 for the service agreement), so we will continue to use them.

I attempted to contact this company at 1:45 in the afternoon on a Wednesday to obtain an estimate to install a tankless electric waterheater and move a water softener. I never got to speak to anyone. I called twice and the receiver was picked up and disconnected both times without a greeting. These people evidently are too busy (or too lazy) to answer their phones. If they don't answer their phones for a sale, they probably won't be available to answer for service.
