Overall I am pleased with my experience with Mowery. Our tub valve would not shut off completely. Mowery had to replace the tub handle as well as the cartridge inside the valve. My only complaint was that they left the tub dirty once the repair was done. Other than that, we are happy and nearly a year later everything is still working as it should!

I thought he was excellent. He's very professional and very friendly. He explained everything to us well.

They are a local company and they always can get out here when I need them. They’re just very friendly people.

The service person was professional; showed up on time and called back to the shop to make sure they had the part needed. One part was not in stock (speciality item) because of the phone call it was ordered immediately without waiting for the end of his service calls. Soon I had a call the part was in and was contacted for setting up an appointment. Overall, a great experience. We even gave out there info to a friend who was having furnace problem. Even though they were not in their maintenance program, a service person arrived the same day and fixed their furnace.

They were very quick to respond. They came in, assessed the problem, and got it done quickly. They aren't cheap, but they are very dependable.

They have also installed my furnace in the past. I am happy with the service that they provide. I had five bids on the work, and they had the cheapest price.

I liked that they came when they said they would, gave me different options on the size and what to do, and told me everything they did. They also came back to fix a problem that came up after the installation.

It took them a long time to get it in. They were ok. I wasn't happy because it took so long to get things done.

We called Mowery to come out and fix our gas fireplace. The pilot light was out so it would not turn on as a result. The technician was able to get the pilot light lit and got our fireplace working. He was at our home for about 30 minutes which is why I marked the price as fair ($85 = 30 minutes). I appreciate that he put on booties when he first walked in and he was very nice. He did offer me a service agreement, but was not pushy about it.

We have used this company for one year .They were previous homeowner's Heat and AC service provider. They do good work, are on time, came for one emergency call last winter with quick response time. The service person who has provided our two most recent check-ups is very thorough in completing his work, answers all questions in understandable terms. We also had them do duct work cleaning last winter. The young man who did the work did a very good job.After the work was done, I felt the charge for the service was excessive, given the time needed to complete the job. However, I knew the cost before the service was provided, and chose to go ahead. I would not use this company for duct work cleaning in the future because of the cost.

Overall, I thought the installation went very well and the furnace and AC system has operated flawlessly. One thing I liked was that before I purchased the system they did not badger me to death trying to sell me the high end units. I asked to be quoted a standard system that was a step above what was being replaced. My goal was to have a little more "power" in my system to heat or cool a little quicker but I did not want to pay $8,000+ for a high efficiency system. My wife (who is a CPA) crunched the numbers and a high efficiency system did not make sense. Most people don't realize that it can take 7-10 years or more to payoff the price difference in energy savings. While the installation went well, there were 3 very minor problems. I only mention them because I want to be thorough in this report. First, the installers accidentally hit the trim on the top of the garage as they moved units in and out. I did not notice this until after they departed and repaired it myself. Second, when they fastened the gas line to the outside of the furnace, they put a screw through the side into the box filter so it was difficult to get out and put a new one back in. Third, some of the foam insulation used to plug the gaps where tubing when through the wall or ceiling needs to be "touched up." However, to be fair to Mid-West Comfort Express I have not called them out to fix these minor things but will have them take care of them during a routine service visit. Had I called them I believe they would have taken care of them promptly. One last thing is that most companies do not include a 10 year parts and labor guarantee with a more basic, standard system. I think the normal warranty was 5 years for parts and labor. But I asked for 10 years and they agreed as long as I kept my annual maintenance contract with them. Since their cost is the same as the other firms I agreed to this to get the extra 5 years of warranty coverage. And, they included the first year contract in with the sale price. Many people don't do yearly maintenance but I can tell you that it is a mistake not to as your system runs better and is more efficient if you get the annual maintenance done.

I called Mowery to repair my gas furnace. It turned out that I needed to replace it. The salesman was quick to come out for the estimate. I got another 4 or 5 estimates and I felt Mowery's was the best. Since I was without heat, they were very accommodating with times for getting it done. I did not stay home while the work was being done, but it seemed the installers were very careful to keep from making any mess on my floors. They also completed the job quickly. I feel that the piece of metal they put up to repair a rusted out spot in the cold air return duct could have been done a bit better. It seemed kinda last minute and quick. I also felt that the salesman could have given me a call when the job was done to see whether I was happy with the outcome. That's probably picky, but I would have appreciated it.

Having found Mowery through Angie's List, I called in the morning to schedule furnace and gas log fireplace maintenance and had a serviceman in the house that afternoon! Dispatcher called about an hour before Jasen was to arrive and he arrived as promised. He was friendly, professional, attentive to my concerns and questions, careful about not tracking in dirt or snow, was thorough in his work, and cleaned up carefully afterward. Pricing was up-front and fair, including clear information about the details of a service agreement. Jason also did some minor repairs to both units without added cost. I look forward to having Mowery do our spring AC maintenance as well (which is included in the amount spent listed above).

Went well, both the sales rep and the installation crew were professional. The installation was on time, and the crew was neat and clean.

The installers were very professional and courteous. They were on time and the installation went as I was told. They answered all questions I had. Tim Shileds came out early afternoon to check their progress. I was very pleased with their product and services. I called them a couple months later to make an adjustment to the blower speed and again the company was very prompt and courteous.

We had signed a contract with them and so we don’t remember what the contract was. We signed it in the spring. They’re on time. They explain things very well. They make an attempt to help you the best they can to control your cost. They don’t necessarily just go for the most expensive thing that you might have to purchase, which is very helpful. We’ve used them before and we chose to work with them. We think that they’re very reliable. We think their price is pretty competitive. We have just a couple of other examples but we think that they’re pretty competitive in terms of price. We will use their services again in the future.

The furnace was not installed correctly. We had high humidity inside. During the early spring we kept calling to tell them we had lots of dust in the house and that the humidity was high. They were nice and friendly, but blew me off when they sent people out to check. The filter was installed improperly because there was no back to it in the furnace. So it was sucking the dirty outside air into the furnace and blowing the air into our garage because it was not sealed due to improper installation. They had installed it to be heating and cooling our garage. We ended up having them re-do everything, and ever got the manufacturer involved. They always were prompt, but kept telling me there was nothing wrong even though I knew there was. They had to start from scratch because it was improperly installed from the beginning, and since then it has been working beautifully, but the initial installation was completely wrong.

I used them two times in a row and I'll use them third time in a row. I just had them come out and check the furnace to make sure it's good for the winter time and didn't have any maintenance issue or anything like that. They cleaned up everything. They told me when they would be there and they were there. They were there like within five minutes.

The tech was punctual and very professional. He answered all of our questions and did a very thorough job.

Mike was very easy to talk to with great customer service. He explained to me the entire water heater system and listened to me as I described what was going on with it. He asked a lot of questions to pin point any other issues. He explained to me that there was severe deposit build-up in the bottom of the water heater and that flushing it was not going to eliminate the problem. He did clean the burner area and inspected and cleaned the pilot assembly.
