Our heat pump died and after talking to a different HVAC contractor, it was determined that it made the most sense to replace our entire HVAC system. We met with and got quotes from 3 different companies. I wasn't familiar with Mid-West Comfort Express prior, but a friend recommended them. They didn't have the lowest quote, but they were the most thorough and most professional. They also had no problem matching the slightly lower priced quote, so we went with them. The installation went very smoothly. The installers were professional, and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Our main contact, Jeff Faubion, took wonderful care of us throughout the entire process. After the system was installed and running for a week, Jeff came back out to go over everything involved with using the system - using and programming the thermostat, changing filters, etc., and also answered all of our questions. I would not hesitate to use Mid-West Comfort Express again and will highly recommend them to others.

It was okay. The service person was on time and looked at the issue. Prior to doing work he provided two quotes- one price if we had a service agreement and another if we didn't. It felt very much like a scammy used-car sales tactic. I'm sure it helps Mowery get additional business, but it seems like a wrong approach. The work was completed and seemed to be okay. Uneasy feeling and will not use again.

The service man was prompt to the point of getting to my residence fifteen minutes early. He was very courteous and dove right into the job requested. He checked both the interior portion of the system and the exterior portion, despite the rain. The service man finished the work in a timely manner and reported to me the condition of the unit(s). He did not try and sell me anything extra or push any maintenance plans upon me. I would gladly use Mowery again in the future.

When i called Mowery I spoke with Vickie their receptionist. She was very friendly and I explained my issue and she said they could have someone out same day which was awesome as this was a weekend. She gave me an approximate time frame of 2-3 hours when the techician would be onsite and explained to me he was installing water heater at another site and i would be next on the list and would call when he is en route to my place. They gave me a follow up call when he was on his way and he arrived within the time frame given. The technician Phil was very informative and and explained what he was doing to fix the issue which was very helpful as i know nothing about water heaters. It took about 15 minutes for him to clean the necessary pieces to allow proper air flow to my water heater unit and I am happy to be able to take a hot shower now. Overall it was a great experience the service cost of $85 i feel was on average for this type of service request and I learned about my water heater too. Well worth the cost to be able to have my heater fixed on a weekend so i can take a hot shower! This is a good company and i received great service and i would recommend them and use them again if needed.

We were very satisfied and we would use them again. Their prices are in the same ballpark as the other good ones. We've been using them for 5 years. They are very timely when we call for a service appointment. They are very professional and thorough.

They gave me really good service and I had no problems at all. Anytime I had any questions about my transaction they were more than cooperative and gave me great feedback. I was more than satisfied with the work.

We were so upset when our project was completed last September that we held off on doing a review til we calmed down. Now that other members are asking for reviews, I'll give it a try. We had lived in our house for 20 years with window AC and electric baseboard heat, so needless to say this was a long-saved-for, dream upgrade for us. It may seem odd that we gave a 'C' grade then said we would hire them again, but most of our problems were with a young, inexperienced installer & not the entire company. We understand he needs to get experience somewhere, but no one wants THEIR house to be the learning project! When the project was complete, I called the office to request the installation manager and owner come out & see how the job was done. I didn't get a return call. I know I should have been a squeaky wheel, but sometimes you get discouraged & just give up. Here are the main points: Employees did not wear covers on shoes; I watched one walk from his truck in our driveway, in the back door, all the way through our house & onto master bedroom carpet where he left black boot marks. Very unprofessional. We had to clean carpet when project was complete. Several holes were cut in utility room ceiling, trying to determine where something was going? Now we have drywall to repair. The only reason we spent so much more for a tankless water heater was space constraints. It was supposed to go in the utility closet with the furnace. Salesman thought it would fit, but installers said no. They mounted the water heater high on a wall in our utility room. It is VERY loud (imagine a jet taking off from inside your home) and unattractive. We spent over $11,000 to improve our house & make it easier to sell, but THIS will scare people away when they come in the back door! Now we have another expense of trying to frame it in & drywall around it to hide it, while keeping it accessible. Note: We don't have a problem with how the tankless water heater works; if you install one in your basement, I'm sure it would be fine. After 3 days of installation (Tues. thru Thursday after Labor Day) we received a call from Mowery?s office on Friday. She advised us not to use the system over the weekend & stated they would be out to ?finish? the following Monday (um, finish WHAT?). As we suffered thru another hot weekend, my husband became curious & started to investigate. He found they had neglected to connect the return in the attic! I think someone should have been sent over that same day to complete their job. Two months later, we went to change the filter for the first time. My husband discovered that the return air duct was not connected to the return air plenum, which is definitely unsafe & possibly not to code. He called, Mowery sent the same young installer over AGAIN with a collar, but he told us "he could not install it because it wouldn?t fit". He left the part with us, and my husband installed it himself in a couple of hours.

This is my personal opinion. The guy went up the gas outlet pipe with the drain cleaner snake by mistake. He couldn't get his snake back down. Another guy came and took a hammer to my undersink pipes (only 6 months old), they never cleared the pipe and when they fixed the undersink pipes, they tried to charge me for it, but "don't worry we'll only charge you for one man". Then when I said that I would not pay, they left. When I turned on the tap I got water all over my feet because they broke the pipe into the sink drain and did no fix it or alert me that they were leaving without any repair to their damage. I needed to pay a large fee to a plumber and pay a roofer to fix where they tore up the shingles around the gas escape pipe by pulling on it in every direction. When I complained, they didn't charge me, but acted like I was trying to cheat them. Yes, I should have sent the roofer and plumber bill to them, but they were, in my opinion, so brazen that I would have had to pay an attorney. It was a while ago, but I just got to Angie's list and people need to be warned.

.Thursday 6/28/2012 was a very hot day. At 10:00 PM I noticed the house had become qute warm - 80 degrees. I called Mowery and left a message that our AC was not functioning and needed to be repaired as soon as possible.The next morning I called Mowery at 7:00 AM, Debbie said she had my message and someone would be there before noon. At 9:30AM Jeff arrived and determined that a capacitor had failed and would replace it with a new capacitor. He completed the job by 10:30 AM and we had cool air again.We could not have been more pleased with such efficient service. Thank you Debbie and Jeff.We have been a customer of Mowery for sometime and are very pleased with their service.

They provided adequate service and the price was fair. They arrived right on time and were very professional with the work. I wouldn't mind using them again.

We received an estimate from Midwest Confort Express for a new furnace and air conditioner. Jeff Faubion was prompt and very knowledgable about our problem and what needed to be done to fix it. We still have other quotes and are making our decision as to whom we will use.

I recommend Mowery Heating and Cooling for propane. I go in tell them what I want. They do it and then I am out of there. I will continue to use them in the future.

We were in need of a new furnace and AC unit; we contacted 4 local companies to provide us estimates and we decided to go with a Lennox system from Mowery in Brownsburg. The sales associate was timely and knowledgeable and provided us with the units that best fit our needs and budget. The installers were also timely and provided us a date and time that fit our schedule. They were very polite and kept us informed of their progress throughout the install. During the install, which was on a Saturday, the owner Chip stopped by the house to check on the install and to thank us for the business. There was a very minor problem with the install and Mowery promptly fixed the issue, which also had the immediate attention of the owner. We look forward to a long relationship with Mowery. Jeff and his team of workers were polite, they worked well together, and they got the entire job done in less than two weeks. They were helpful and conscientious. They lent us some of their tools while we were trying to address electrical and plumbing issues and didn't have the right tools, and sometimes they even lent a hand in moving furniture. When finished, they made sure to clean up their mess and lock the doors on their way out if we weren't there. Jeff assured us that if we had any problems or questions, he would take care of us. He made sure we were aware of everything that was happening and that we were comfortable with what was going on.

I called Mowery about 3:30 PM and reported my problem. The lady (sorry I don't recall her name) that answered was very gracious and helpful. She assured me that she would send a plumber to my home that day. Within 30-45 minutes I received a call that a plumber was dispatched to my home. Heath, the plumber, was very clean cut and a true gentleman! He quickly found the problem with the main pump. It had the intake blocked by it's slipping off a support block in the sump pit resulting in occlusion of the of the intake. Best yet, Heath informed us that with a Mowery Angie's List coupon we could save an additional $40+ on the service call! My hat is off to Heath and the Mowery Guys!....Thank you.

The installation crew showed up on time as promised. Jeff was there at the start of the installation and then left to conduct other business. The job was completed in about 8 1/2 (it took a little longer because we had four cold air returns added and that took a little longer). The only complaint we had was the duct work for the cold air returns in the furnace room itself. It was flexible duct work and we did not care for how it was routed from ceiling to furnace. Unfortunately, the crew did not have any metal duct with them. The furnace and AC was setup and working so we let it go until we could contact Jeff to explain our concerns. We sent him photos of this and he agreed they would come back and re-do it. This was done and we are satisfied with the results.

I probably used them last January. They were grossly over priced. I agreed to what they insisted on doing. They didn't do what I brought them into the house to do. They insisted on doing in their own way which was much more expensive than I could have done it through the people from whom I purchased the dish washer. So I was not happy with the experience. I won't call them again. I wanted to keep the copper piping. They insisted on going to the plastic which HH Grade would have done.

We do not have any complaints with this company. The owner gave us the estimate and told us exactly what was included in that price. The estimate price and the price we paid were the same. We would use them again and would receommend them to others.

This is the best customer service I have ever been given or witnessed in my life! A special thanks to Bruce at Mowery! We built a new house 5 five years ago in Brownsburg. Our water heater started acting up recently as we continually had to unplug and plug it back in to get it to work. 5 year old water heater! Waking up to a cold shower in the morning on occasion is not fun! We had Mowery come and a take a look at it. Note: We did not buy the original waterheater from Mowery. The part to fix it was going to cost $500 or so and would take approximately 4 weeks to receive, because the manufacturer of our water heater was Canadian. Back in 2007 when we built our house, apparently water heaters were scarce due to the demand for water heaters after Hurricane Katrina, so we ended up getting a Canadian one (not to our knowledge). Also, since it was a Canadian Company, Mowery suggested that we consider buying a new water heater, because if the part failed again, we would be out the $500 and still probably need a new water heater as it is very hard to get parts timely. Our water heater has a power vent so a replacement was going to cost approximately $2200. I was not willing to buy a new water, because again our water heater was less than 5 years old. I was going to take the gamble and buy the part. In the meantime, Mowery had done a lot of research on our waterheater (for free) and was not getting a lot of info because it was made in Canada. Mowery and AO Smith worked diligently to find the best solution for us that was cost effective and timely. Thanks again Bruce at Mowery and AO Smith! We will only be using Mowery for our Heating/Cooling/Plumbing needs, etc, going forward!
