It went okay, but I think the price was a little high

They come out twice a year to inspect and clean my furnace, air conditioner, and fireplace. I have a service contact on these items. They have been punctual and professional each time. One toilet was replaced and another repaired. Water heater was flushed out. I also called about what I thought was a plumbing issue with the water heater and I was told that it was "to code" and didn't need work. Price listed below is for the toilet purchase and installation.

Great, got a service agreement so they will come back and service both the air conditioner and furnace all in the same price.

This is the second year we have signed and paid for an annual contract with this company for heating and cooling maintenance. Once they have the contract you are dead in the water. They do not bother to call for a scheduled visit, but even if you call then you are last in line since you were dumb enough to give them money up front. When you do call, you are place out at the end of the line a month or so out. If they don't show due to inclement weather, you are out at least another week. THEN, they expect you to be by your phone for several hours on the day of the new appointment to ensure that you will be home and THEY won't be put out. After this contract expires, never again!!!!!!!

We had a superb experience with Mowery. We needed the air conditioner unit and the air handler replaced. Here are several of our impressions. First and foremost is Mowery’s high degree of integrity. We give them an A. Even when an unexpected problem occurred during the installation, they demonstrated a solid commitment to their word. We were also impressed with their timeliness. Less than a week after we called Mowery, the new units were installed and up and running. The company representatives and the installers were friendly, professional, careful, and willing to work with us. During the installation they made sure we knew exactly what they were doing and why. Mowery should be proud of its people. We highly recommend this company, and though we don’t look forward to needing them again, Mowery will be the first company we call the next time a problem occurs.

Mowrey installed a gutter in our yard to remove rain water. They had to come out twice, because they “forgot” to hook up one of the spouts. A year later, and a nightmare on the payment plan, it still isn’t right (pics provided). The piping was laid so close to the top of the ground, it’s going to require me to add soil over the top of it, so grass will grow again. And the exit pipe was made EXTERNAL, even though there was an EXISTING exit flowing underground into the city’s drainage system. A very poor job, no attention to detail, awful customer service afterwards... I wouldn’t recommend any of their services for yard work. The HVAC and Electric Fireplace Techs were great though...

On a Sunday evening (8PM), I found that my basement was starting to flood. Water soaked into 60% of basement carpet at the time of discovery, so I am lucky to have caught it in the early stages. Mowery answered promptly and had a technician at my home within an hour. I could not have been happier with the responsiveness and punctuality of the company. The technician explained the problems with the previous system's setup thoroughly and detailed how his installation would fix those issues. I appreciated the time he took to do this. The reason I only gave this experience a C was because of the ridiculous price of the pumps they installed. Mowery installs PHCC Pro Series brand pumps, which from what I can see from online reviews are a decent and reliable brand. I was given two options for primary pump installation: a "normal" pump and a "premium" pump. I chose the premium option because it came with an system monitor and would audibly alarm if the power went out. This option was offered around $900. Unfortunately, one google search showed me that the pump retails for around $230 at multiple sources. That is a 390% price inflation. Yikes. That made my wallet sad and made me wish I had done some research before buying. The technician did not have a battery backup system to install on that Sunday, so he quoted me for the future work: $1900 for parts and labor. Knowing the upcharge on the primary pump system, I began to shop around online for price comparison. The battery backup option they quoted for was the premium system (PHCC Pro Series 2400). Once again, a google search provided me with a baseline cost for the pump and battery: $500 for pump; $270 for battery. Excluding the $350 labor cost, thats an price inflation of 201%, or $784. I ended up buying the pump and battery online and paying the installation fee. I saved 40%, about $800. I could have saved much more if I had been diligent about the primary pump. Overall, the quality of the work was great. The technicians were great. The response to our emercency was great. But the pricing of their products is ridiculously high. Customers that do not do their research will end up spending much more than needed. I understand that it is a business, but nearly 400% upcharge...c'mon man.

Great. The technician noted something that may be needed to be fixed eventually on my heat pump, but didn't press me to do it right away. he said if it goes, the backup heat from the furnace will kick on and we can get the repair then. i appreciate not being pressured.

Even though my original appointment was rescheduled by Mowery due to a demand for customers without heat, Mowery representatives were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The work was performed in a very timely manner, and the price was great!

I've used Mowery for years. I think they are priced high compared to other companies but they've always demonstrated high quality, responsiveness and professionalism.

I just have an annual contract. They're very good, they come out and do everything. I've only been there two years at the most. The price is average I'm pretty sure.

Doug covered his shoes upon entering the house. I feel he spent a good deal of time on this service visit making sure he checked all areas. At the end of the visit, he went through his observations and explained things he felt we needed to know to insure our safety. He even checked for any traces of carbon monoxide. I would definitely recommend this company.

I bought an Angie's List Big Deal for $99 for Drain Cleaning service. The company was very responsive via email, and we were able to get an appointment scheduled for the same day. The plumber came out, and was very nice and friendly. He had my drain unclogged in minutes and was on his way. I would definitely hire this company again!

This is an excellent company to work with. Holden & Donny, the installers, were efficient and competent. I Highly recommend this company. Kreig, the estimator, answered many many questions on the phone, by email & text during my "thinking about it" time. The owner, Chip, was also attentive and thankful. Family owned makes a difference!

They are usually a little more costly.

They're prompt and efficient. I think I pay $19 a month for their service plan.

I really like their customer service and the way they follow up and make sure you are happy with it and their service people are very professional, but friendly as well and very honest about what they can and can not do for you and then they make it happen with a very quick response. Over all when my basement was flooded and I really needed some one they were able to get out right away and handle it and so I've used them for some other things that have needed to be handled in my house and stuff.

I've used them for some other things that needed to be handled in my house since then. I signed a service agreement with them for the sump pump and with that agreement, I get some services done free.

I continue to use them. If they did not do good work I would not use them.

I pay monthly and get the two check ups for free, discount on parts, and expedited if emergency.
