Michael checked the outdoor unit and it was thawed enough that he could check the refrigerant level. He said it was just barely low enough to cause a problem. He explained a few things about the ac. Very helpful. Larry, too, was very informative. They are both great guys. The only thing was I had been told that Michael would be there between 8 and 9am. At around 11am, I called to get an update on time. A different person from the day before told me he was expected between 8 and noon. I didn't know that or I would have never called to check. Kelly sounded a little stressed and told me I would get a call when the tech was on his way. I didn't get the call and he showed up about 12:45. That, to me, is really not as important as the quality of work and cost. I would hire again.

We were out of town when we learned that there was no water at our house. We called Mowery and explained that the house was without water and that we did not know the cause but we suspected a problem with our well pump. I was worried that the entire system might need to be replaced at a cost of hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Kevin came out the next morning and very quickly diagnosed the problem as an inoperable pressure switch. He had one on the truck and replaced the defective switch in a manner of minutes. His professionalism and knowledge made what could have been a traumatic (we have a handicapped individual in our home) and expensive problem into a minor inconvenience. I have used Mowery for furnace repair and was very pleased and now can whole heartily recommend them for plumbing service as well.

I have had a good experience with them. I have never used anybody but them.

1st guy left something rattling in my air conditioner. When I asked about it he acted like it was nothing. Luckily I was having a few companies come out to get estimates on fixing the air ducts in the crawl space & an employee from the other company agreed to look at it. He found a piece of foam that had fallen out when the Mowery guy replaced the filter down in the fan. He said I was lucky to have caught it because it could have caused some major damage. The Mowery guy that came out to get me an estimate on my crawl space never did get me an estimate. I didn't call either. By this time I was done with this company.

There was some miscommunication, and they did aa/c inspection instead of furnace inspection. We had a home warranty that was expiring, and we were worried about the furnace, 15+ years old. I was upset at the mistake, so I called. They had someone out the next week to check the furnace at no charge. great customer service. Appreciate them taking are of a mistake. Will use in the future.

I noticed about 2" of standing water in my basement after a heavy rain in the AM. By the evening, the water still had not drained off on its own. I called Mowery the next morning @ 0830 and by 10A, David was at my home. He inspected my back flow preventer and the city line but they were fine. It turned out that the drain in the basement was dirty and needed to be cleaned so the water could flow out. The lady who scheduled the work was friendly and helpful as I had questions about their Big Deal. David was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I appreciated that he took the time to really find out what was causing the issue and explained my options. He just seemed like a good guy that I could trust. And I certainly want to express how much I appreciated how quickly they were able to get me on the books so the issue could get resolved ASAP. I was able to use the $99 Big Deal on Angie's List so that saved me a lot of money. Overall, I had a great experience with Mowery and would recommend them to any family member or friend.

I called Mowery to help me with a homeowner who needed a professional plumber to take a look at some work that a previous company had performed on her home. The homeowner is Chinese and speaks very little English. She had been taken advantage of and treated poorly by another company who had repaired her home initially. I initially spoke with Barb, their customer service rep in the office. She was wonderful and understanding and very helpful in scheduling one of their best to meet me at the homeowner's residence. I also followed up with her and she was extremely compassionate and sweet and happy to help. Phil, the gentleman that showed up, was very polite, professional, compassionate, and patient. He was happy to help and give his professional opinion, even though the work wasn't guaranteed to go to his company. The language barrier was tough to overcome and he handled it beautifully. I will call Mowery in the future for ALL of my plumbing needs and to help service any of my clients!

Serviceman was running late due to the storms the previous day but the office staff called twice to let me know. Michael was very professional and let us know everything that he did. Also advised we might have something that has torn a hole in our return air duct. I would definitely use them again.

Pool heater had kicked out due to a thermal fuse blowing. After replacing the fuse I found that the heater was shooting flames out the bottom of the unit. Called several "pool" companies but none could come out for several days. Called Mowery based on their ad in the yellow pages (!) and they were able to come out that afternoon. The repairman found several burners completely or partially blocked with spiderwebs(!) which was the cause of the problem. He cleaned out all the burners and it now works great!

Very professional service. I signed up for their yearly service contract last year and they reminded me when the service was due. I would highly recommend them.

They came out within hours of my calling and were very professional. The tech answered some other plumbing questions and was very helpful. I would definitely call them again!

You cant beat Mowery for their professionalsm, promptness and vast knowlege of all aspects of heating and airconditoning. They replaced a sump pump, and determined that our airconditoner was too old to fix. We had a new airconditoner installed, which was no easy task, due to the limited space in the garage. In turn, we decided to replace an aging water heater in the process. They were here all day long. At one point, we had three differnent crews working here. Even Chip the boss showed up to see how things were going. They were efficient, polite and cleaned the area when the job was completed. Later that evening we noticed a leak in the garage, they had someone come out at 9:30 p.m. to correct the problem. You cant beat going with Mowery, they get the job done correctly. They may be a bit high on prices, but definately make up for it in knowlege and experience. Even the ladies that answer the phones are pleasant and friendly. It is nice to know that there is still a company out there that takes pride in doing a good job and has integrity. We might even purchase a gas log insert someday from them if we dont have any more unforseen repairs. Thanks Mowery!

We have used Mowery for many years to maintain and repair our heating and air conditioning units. We have also called on them for plumbing issues. The technicians @ Mowery are very knowledgable, polite, friendly, and professional. We have appreciated their service though the years and want the entire Angie's list family to know that this is an excellent choice if you are looking for a company in the Indianapolis area.

I went online and paid for a Daily Deal from Mowery for drain cleaning, which I needed done in a hurry - and it was a Saturday as well. I called Mowery and asked if it would be possible to work me in same day, which they did. Christian was the plumbing technician and was prompt, courteous and very professional. He quickly cleaned out both drains and also took the time to answer my questions about tankless water heaters and provided an estimate. I will definitely call Mowery for any future plumbing or HVAC needs!

it was a great experience. couldn't be happier. They worked around my schedule. They were fast friendly and professional. Their pricing is fair too. I would highly recommend them.

Arrived at scheduled time. Removed old unit and replaced with new as well as making needed update to electrical outlet. Matched up air conditioner to 2 year old furnace and replaced pad that air conditioner sets on outside. Everything was replaced/updated so that all looks and works perfectly. Did not push us to buy more expensive unit than needed. Kept me up to date all day as installation progressed.

Tech (JD) was on time, went right to work, encouraged me to follow him as he performed the service, and explained everything he was doing. JD checked the temperature, current levels, condition of filter, and refrigerant. He cleaned the outside coils and during the entire time answered my questions to the best of his ability. After the work was completed, JD asked if I would be interested in a service agreement, which I was, and he thoroughly explained my options. I chose the 1 year service for the HVAC and added the water heater and gas fire log cleaning.

Bought a big deal at midnight and they were there the next day. Very professional and quickly solved what was becoming a big issue. Thanks!

He was prompt, professional, fairly priced, and he did not try to sell us anything we didn't need. I suggest them to anyone who has plumbing needs!

They were good, actually I had a problem with the repair they did initially and I called them back. They sent a guy and he take care the whole thing, it runs pretty good. The one is very informative and helpful but the other guy I couldn't seem that he wanted to be here.

They ended up doing something different and I'm not sure that was supposed to be done. I was not really totally pleased. They try to upsell you with the service package; I would say I would not use them again. They were responsive.

That turned out great. We used them all the time. We like that they are prompt and do good work. There was nothing they found during the inspection and everything was good.

This went very well. Rep was polite, well informed and focused. He removed the old pump, cleaned out the sump which had a lot of debris in it from the builder and installed new connecting pipes to the new pump. He cleaned up the work area and left things in great shape.
