After a different repair shop had told me it would cost $270 just to figure out what the problem was, I decided to give Mears a try, I had never done business with them before. They had a coupon via Angie's List for free diagnosis, and they were able to pinpoint the problem. The repair cost was fair. The service was prompt. I would definitely call them first next time I have an issue.

Powersteering pump was leaking into the alternator causing it to not charge the battery. Recommended replace both. Quoted fair price and labor. Vehicle was ready the next day. Great service, resaonable price!

I am not the most car literate person in the world, so it's tough for me to find a good auto service that I can trust. Of course I went straight to Angie's List to find someone when my alternator overcharged my battery, and they popped up first. They were extremely friendly and were sure to keep me informed for every step of the procedure. They called when they found other issues with the car and offered to fix that, but also said I could wait to have the work done since it would be a bit pricey. I really appreciate them keeping my budget in mind during this process. I will definitely be coming back to them with any other car troubles I have in the near future.

I contacted Mears to perform a used truck inspection. Even after a couple false starts on my part to bring in a used truck (the ones I had considered were unavailable when I finally had the chance to go to the dealership), Kevin fit me in at the last second about an hour before they closed when I finally brought a truck over. They were very accommodating and even brought me into the shop so the mechanic could show me what he was looking for. After the professional and top notch service and customer care, I plan on taking my vehicles to Mears for all my cars' maintenance needs.

My van had been in for brakes a couple of months earlier so when I first came in I was frustrated with a second fix, but they very professionally explained and showed me what they fixed the first time and what needed to be fixed the next time. They were fast and had my van back in under two days.

Very well. Discussed my options with Kevin and decided to g o with a rebuilt transmission from LQK. The truck had been sitting for about two yrs so I had some other things done while it was there. Communication was good. I checked Mears out on the internet and they seemed to have a good reputation. I was satisfied with the job they did and I am driving the truck now with no problems.

Mears always provides accurate quotes and time estimates up front. In this case, they later found that the ABS brake controller was no longer available due to age of the vehicle (2002 Dodge Dakota), and found a used system for me. This extended the job time but reduced the cost by hundreds of dollars. They kept me informed throughout and provided sound guidance along the way. I have no problem recommending Mears to friends and neighbors. There may be cheaper places, but I trust them.

I thought I was finished writing reviews for Mears until I went to stop my car on Monday and my foot darn near went thru the firewall. Had been putting off brake work for too long and then the rear brake line just rusted thru. GMC must have thought it a good idea to attach the line to the frame behind the fuel tank as the tank had to be removed to replace the line. Oh well. Mears completed the work in proper time and brought the cost in UNDER estimate. I am quite happy with all aspects of this repair job and will return to Mears again (tho I hope not too soon).

I am new to AL but not new to Mears Automotive. Been a client for years and have never had one complaint about the quality and price of service. I will go no where else. Used an AL coupon for a total vehicle inspection and am quite satisfied with results. More than happy to recommend Mears to one and all.

For the most part worked well with my insurance company. Minor miscommunications that were quickly remedied. I wish there was a little more communication from the beginning. Once I was in contact with Kevin things went smoothly from there. There were some slight delays in when the vehicle was ready which were communicated to me at the time I was expecting to pick up the vehicle. I think they did a good job. I appreciate that they have offered to do my next oil change for free so that they can inspect the vehicle again as they replaced the engine with a used one. They seem to value their work. I will use them again.

If car repairs can be a pleasant experience, this was. Beverly and Bob were both friendly and professional. The repairs were made in a timely fashion and I would not hesitate to use Mear's Automotive for future car repairs.

Mears Automotive got me in the same day and took an hour and their prices are very good. They were really awesome.
