Mears Automotive - Brownsburg

Mears is great. My family moved here ten years ago and we've been using them for just about every car need we've had. I shopped around and there were other locations offering the same service for cheaper. Mears was able to meet the price and offer cheaper service on my car's links down the road when those need to be replaced. There was an issue with the rebate they offered me so they spent hours doing all the leg work to track down the issue and sort it out to make sure I received what was promised me. I will definitely keep using Mears, they're great, honest, and know what they're doing!

We dropped the car off. They lent us a vehicle and called us back a few hours later with completion. They also checked and lubed the front transfer case and the driver's side sliding door.

My Mother had issues with her vehicle and asked for me to help her. As it was very snowy last year, getting out and about was not easy. I ran over there and checked it and determined it may be the battery or something different. I recommended her take it some where to double check and it was COLD and I didn't want to mess with it to much. I called mears and they got the vehicle towed diagnosed and fixed all in the same day. It was just the battery and they charged somewhere around 100 for the battery and the tow was free through AAA. They were very informative and quick. If you live in brownsburg and are looking for an honest place, my experience would say use this place as I felt comfortable going there.

We thought the problem was going to be much more serious. We've used them before. They are low priced and give great service. You get an estimate first. They seem to try and turn it around the same day. They're very responsive and caring. They don't try to gouge you.

They were willing to work with me on payments. They did a great job of replacing brakes, calipers, rotors and all lines that were rusted.

Very professional and offered me a loaner vehicle due to length of ti,e they'd need my vehicle. Wasn't expecting that and really appreciated it!

Provider was responsive, quick and inexpensive. Also communicated extremely well, mentioned other potential issues but only recommended what was necessary.

I was very satisfied with them. They were very friendly and very easy to deal with. They fixed it to our satisfaction. We had no problems. I would recommend them to anyone. I liked it. I didn't have any problems with responsiveness. Their price was reasonable. I would give all A's. I would definitely use them in the future.

Howard was very helpful and stayed in communication with me throughout the whole process. The whole crew was very nice as always when I went to pick my car up. I would refer anyone to their crew and would definitely use Mear's auto again.

My Jeep had been sitting for about 5 months. I finally got around to replacing the engine and after a lot of research, I decided to go with Mears. They were great to work with. Punctuality was great and they definitely went above and beyond what I had anticipated/expected. Not only did they do the work promised, but they also took the time to address a few small issues that I had not even told them about. They just saw a few things that weren't as good as they could be and fixed it! They didn't charge me anything extra for it either. Howard and Kevin were extremely professional and very easy to talk to and work with. After I picked it up and took it out for a few hours, I stopped back by to inquire about something and they just took it into the shop on the spot to make sure that everything was perfect. Then Kevin told me when I bring it back in for the (free) 500 mile oil change he would give me a free alignment just because I had to stop back by to have my question answered. I told him it wasn't necessary but he insisted. This was my first experience with Mears and I have driven past the shop daily for over 10 years. I am greatly surprised by the quality of their work and their prices which are dead on with everyone else if not better. They also gave me a 10% military discount. That was pretty big on a $5K job. What it boils down to is that Mears is my new shop for all of my vehicles when they need ANYTHING!

They were a few hundred dollars cheaper than the Chevrolet shop. They got a brand new transmission from GM which turned out to be a bad transmission. They spent quite a while conferring with GM about the condition of the new transmission. Finally, GM agreed that the transmission must be bad and sent another one. This time the transmission was installed quickly without further incident. I have used Mears before and they impress me as good mechanics who are honest and responsible and communicate well with their customers. The cost of replacement was around $4900 and was partially covered by warranty. This is my grand daughter's car and we found out after she bought it that these Saturn Vue's are notorious for having transmission failures. .

We were looking for a new mechanic, being new to the area. Earlier in the summer, we took one vehicle in for an oil change, etc. I called ahead for an appointment and service was prompt when I arrived. The staff was friendly, polite, and professional. Later in the summer, my husband's brakes began making noise. He took his car in expecting to need new brakes. He was pleasantly surprised when they called to let him know the problem was not that serious and would not be very expensive. So far, we've been pleased with the honestly and service.

My 2 and 5 year old's had an appointment and they actually came to the doctors office to replace the flat tire with a spare tire. The technician that came to change the tire was very patient and had me follow him back to their garage, patched the tire for me, and put it back on. They were super awesome and didn't even charge me for any of the service. I would highly recommend them to others.

I called Mears Automotive based on reviews on Angie's List and was very impressed with their professionalism from the start. They took time to properly diagnose what was causing the noise coming from the front end of the car and let me know what my options were. The work they performed was very high quality and the price was as quoted. I really feel like they truly care about hearing their customers concerns and doing superior work. I definitely plan to taking any future automotive work that needs to be done to them.

I have been impressed with the service at Mears Automotive. I usually wait while my car is being serviced, but if it is going to take a while, they have dropped me off at home. It doesn't matter who I talk with, the people at the desk are knowledgeable, polite and friendly. I don't feel like they are trying to talk me into work that "may" need to be done. It is nice to be able to trust an auto mechanic. They have a fairly big shop, but it has a small town feel. Definitely recommend!

The service call was excellent. My vehicle was in service for a total of one day. The company was courteous, professional and the quality of the work was great.

Mears diagnosed the problem as one of two likely issues; one not too expensive, and the other over $1,000. Unfortunately for us, the cheaper fix didn't work, so it cost us about $1,300. While that wasn't good news, we feel we were very courteously and professionally treated. The vehicle was repaired on time, as promised. We would use Mears again without hesitation.

Dropped off vehicle to check out front end noise. Received a prompt call describing the problem and the cost to fix. Repairs made in timely manner, and final cost was per estimate. This was the second time I have used this facility. Bottom line, they do quality work with highly qualified people at reasonable cost in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.

My Infiniti wouldn't start so I had it towed to Mears. They were able to get it, quickly diagnose the issue as a bad battery, replace the battery and get me on my way quickly.

Told them my brakes were squeaky and had an oil drip and needed an oil change. Got me in the next day. Told me the oil drip was from a loose oil filter fro my last oil change (thanks Jiffy Lube!), brakes needed new pads, and a couple minor scheduled maintenance items. They finished up by 2pm same day.

They fixed the problem right away. Very prompt and polite!

Routine maintenance required for my import vehicle - Acura with over 150k miles. Radiator flush and refill. Transmission flush and refill. Oil changed. Checked my brakes. Alignment * unable to complete that day due to my issues but allowed me to prepay and I can return at another time. I will continue to use them for all my car maintenance needs. :)

These guys are outstanding. I called for my appointment and they informed me that they were busy at the moment but they could get to my car the next day. I was contacted after they had a diagnosis of the issues, and they gave me time to make a decision regarding the repair. These repairs were completed in a timely manner, and I was contacted when the repairs were complete. With this being an older vehicle, they had the opportunity to pile on the repair costs, but they simply let me know what needed to be done to get me back on the road. I will use this company again, and will refer my friends and family to this facility.

This is the 2nd time we have used them for major repair on our vehicles since moving to Brownsburg in December. We have been very pleased with their work and customer service. When they had to keep my husband's truck overnight they provided a loaner vehicle without any additional charge.

They are friendly. Everything was good. They were professional. I would give them top marks across the board. I was last there in October 2012.
