I had never had my vents cleaned and lived in the house for 12 years. They came and cleaned the vent out, it was getting no output. They replaced the screen to keep birds out which was a problem I had in the past. It was done very quickly and the dryer has been working great since.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal for dryer vent cleaning. I had used this company before and was pleased with their work so I made an appointment and they showed up on time. They determined that the vent was really pretty clean and wouldn't have needed to be serviced, but since they were there, and they said they'd have to charge me anyone, they went ahead and cleaned it for the small amount of dirt/lint that was there. The man who came to clean it said he would talk with the owner to see if there was any recourse for cases like this, but I never heard back from anyone. Lesson learned for me - I'll wait longer before my next cleaning

Description of Work: The original appointment was for the Angie's List dryer vent cleaning Deal. However I learned that the dryer was vented in the crawl space with flexible dryer tubing and that such tubing was not "cleanable" via the brushes used by this vendor. The spinning brush would tear and ruin the flexible tubing. They explained to me the option of installing new fixed (metal) round vent tubing that was required by code and was able to be cleaned in the future. I agreed. Today was the install. Steve and Scott arrived on time, went right to work, and were finished and loaded to go in about 1.25 hours. Steve explained to me what had been done, the air flow measurement at the exit vent, and their program for annual re-inspections and cleanings (when needed). The entire experience with DVW of Central Indiana was a positive one; I would recommend them to others with dryer vent cleaning needs.

Description of Work: Dryer taking two cycles to dry. Came to inspect air ducts. Technician had a lot of integrity and honesty. He couldn't find an issue. Offered to do something that might help and might not, but didn't aggressively push it. Dryer still doesn't work right but he tried everything.
