Ed did a good job but I thought the price was a bit high...

I posted a rather negative review of this company in April and since then I have been contacted by the owner who both apologized for my experience, and made an offer to remedy the situation. I am very satisfied with how this has been resolved and plan on using them again in the future. The quality of the work was fine, but the particular technician (who no longer is employed there) was responsible for the issues I had. I believe they will do a good job for me in the future.

I contacted this company and another to compare cost and convenience of receiving service. Since Driver Vent Wizard does not give estimates over the phone and charges $49 travel fee in addition to cost of job, and requires customer to give them a three-hour window for the appointment, I decided to use a different company (recommended by Angie's List) which provides a fixed-rate estimate over the phone and gives a specific time for the appointment.

Great Experience so glad I hired someone to do this instead of trying to DYI it.

I have used this company for a few years. They have cleaned my vents a few times and replaced my vent in 2014. My vent had become disconnected somehow and they came out to do the repair work, they did not charge me for the work which was nice. I will continue to use them in the future.

He was punctual and very courteous. He explained everything to us in detail. He completed the work then cleaned the dryer vent line.

Awful Was given a window of 2-5. Called Steve at 3:45 to find out if they were running on time becasuse weather was bad. Was told he would be there in 20 minutes. No one showed up for 1 hour. Called him back and was told that he must ave had me confused with someone else and that he would call the tech to find out when he would arrive . Tech called me back 20 minutes later to tell me he was in Bloomington (I'm in Carmel) and that earliest he would be there is 6:30-7:00. I was mad they expected me to stay around til then so we rescheduled for next day Andy (tech) called and said was running early ... GREAT!. He arrived and was nothing but a Smart a$$. He traipsed thru the snow to come into my house. I told him he was going into the attic and asked if he needed to bring his ladder. His answer was a snarky "i dont know" after he came in I asked him if his shoes were wet. His answer again ghe snarky "i dont know" I just asked him to leave then Really unprofessional... would NOT recommend using them unless you enjoy being treated rudely

Our serviceman, Steve Dean did a thorough examination of our dryer and vent and stated it was clean and safe. He also would not allow me to pay a trip charge or an amount for his trouble. This is very rare but wonderful Customer Service. He was very professional and courteous.

The technician, Steve, called to let me know he was running late--which wasn't a problem on a rainy dismal day. The notice ahead was much appreciated. It turned out neither of the vents were blocked. Would have been very easy for him to have "cleaned" them out anyway. I certainly wouldn't have known the difference. Appreciate the honesty and efficiency. We will call them again if needed.

The estimate was way to high. They were very nice and the interaction was good. The estimate was very detailed.

Went well, they assessed the dryer vent and determined that it did not need cleaned at this time.

The technician, Andy, was great. He was on time and explained every step. Very pleasant experience.

The work was done well, and although one technician was delayed on another project, they found a way to get a tech to my house close to the scheduled time. Tech was very professional.

Ty came out to correct the issue. He was very good. He explained everything that he was going to do and why it had to be done. He was very professional and very nice.

Steve was great to work with and took the time to give me all options for my laundry room. He and Trey did the work and I am pleased with the way it turned out. I would recommend to others.

I was really impressed on their first visit. It was seriously a coincidence that we had a fire in the fall of last year. Dryer Vent Wizard came out in January to help us because our dryer vent wasn't working after that. Said he got everything together. Then in February we had n housing inspection and the housing inspector found out that we had a huge hole in the dryer vent in the crawl space. Dryer Vent Wizard assured me that we did not. I had pictures of it. I had to call them and have him come back out and do it. It was the same guy who serviced the first time. He was very cranky and was clearly not pleased that he had to come back out and correct his mistake. So I was not impressed. There was not question that it was insane what happened. it was expensive and then didn't even do what he said he was going to do. I liked the owner. The first thing I did was I called and I rose all kinds of h*ll with the gal who answered the phone and she was wonderful. She said she would get my message to the owner immediately and I would be hearing back, and it was a Friday. I never heard back from the owner. On Tuesday I emailed, because I saved the business card with the owners email. I said I don't know what kind of business you are running here, but this isn't going to work. I will say that he emailed me right back and he said oh my gosh this is totally my fault I was on vacation last week. I saw your email over the weekend when I got back in town and intended to address it right away on Monday and honestly it just got lost. He said that's not how we do business, it's not how we keep customers and I am incredibly sorry. Neither is the kind of service you got. I assure you he has been advised of this problem, he will be contacting you and coming out at a time at your convenience to get this fixed. So I was impressed with the owner because he really seemed to care and got it taken care of for me. So I like the owner and I don't want to say I would not use them. I think there was a problem with that technician. So I would use the company I would just ask for another technician.

It was $650 for a new vent. They were really friendly. He was very knowledgeable, but he didn’t come back last week. He never came back and never called. Interactions were fine, pleasant. The estimate was very detailed. They could have better customer contact.

It went well, except . . . Ty was very personable and appeared knowledgeable and worked efficiently, explaining what he was doing and why along the way. That was all great. There was a minor problem in that he tracked some mud and dirt from outside into the house and left some of it for me to clean up (he did pick up the biggest pieces). But I was pleased with the job itself. Where I was not please was the bill. I called the day before to ask what their pricing would be for a vent clean, because I already had a flat rate price from another company. The tech I spoke with said our cost would be a maximum of $151, possibly less depending on the circumstances. Theproblem was the vent cleaning itself was $151, but there was an additional $49 "diagnostic inspection" fee included. It's a permanent fee, already typed into the invoice form, so it's not something he didn't know about or that might not have applied. When I call asking for their price and I'm told our cost would be a maximum of X, I expect to pay no more than X. This was an additional 25% that was not disclosed until the time for payment. That is not professional. Ty's work was good and he was very pleasant, but I think a number of other companies can do good vent cleaning work and not slip in a significant 'secret' extra fee at the end, so I will not use this company again.

Dean took the time to look around and discuss the best location to reroute. Once decided he went to work and did a professional job. Dean was very nice, I will use Dryer Vent Wizard again.

Steve was prompt in being here at the time scheduled, efficient in diagnosing and explaining the issue to me and in getting everything taken care of. We haven't had one issue with drying time since!

It went very well. I agreed with the findings and estimate. The work was completed the same day, so we did not lose time using our dryer. The service rep was professional and courteous. He explained things clearly.

I had to do some caulking after they put the vent on. I wish they would have done it. That was the one thing, but everything else was fine. They were very nice people.
