C&J Well Drilling and Pump Co

This was the first time we had used their services. They were courteous, responsible, and professional. They gave us an estimate and stuck to it. They came when they said they would and we are satisfied with their work.

This was the first time we had used their services. It went really well and I was surprised because they had it done in less than a day. They were very nice and knew what they were doing. They seemed very organized and we have not had any problems since.

We sold our home and inspection company found e coli in the well. Since we were closing in 6 days, I called C & J Well. They went above and beyond because when we got to the home the electricity had been turned off too soon. Thank goodness they had a generator on the truck and were able perform the preliminary work (while I waited for the electric company to arrive). Jim arrived the next day to check the water quality and take a sample back with him for testing. Got results the next day. I had called 2 other well companies on Angie's List and they were the most responsive. We moved to a home that also has a well and I will definitely use them in the future.

This was the first time I have used this company. They came when they said they would and got everything done. I have no complaints. They called me when they were threw to let me know the statis because I was not home.

It seemed to me that when they first walked in their first interest was is money than in how they were gonna help me with my problem. I felt that he assumed what he was gonna do before he even checked. His diagnosis was correct but I just felt like I got a new tank and I didn't need one, it was just a new small part I needed. They came into my house with dirty shoes and I wasn't very happy about I'm not sure I will call them back. They were nice but they didn't address my problem first.

When they were drilling for the new well they hit natural gas. They realized they couldn't get the well to work so the owner ended up coming and realized they had hit natural gas. They then had to drill a new well and run it 130 ft to get past the gas pocket. There was no problems with the new well. They water quality is better and so is the water pressure. They explained a lot about the old well and the new well to me.

I would recommend them to anybody. They did a great job.

They responded very quickly to our request, even though they are located in Brownsburg and we live in Noblesville. They were professional and explained everything that they were recommending in detail. We had originally received a quote from a different company of $2,500 indicating that we needed a new pump, among other things. We feel C & J made an honest recommendation of what was needed and did not try to take advantage of our situation. We would highly recommend them.

I was very pleased with them. I called them & they gave me an estimate right over the phone. They knew by my diagnosis what the problem was. They came out the next day and I signed the papers. They originally quoted me $700 and it ended up being $665 with the 5% Angie's List discount. They came out one morning, repaired the system & I had water again within a couple of hours. The repair was professionally done & they knew exactly what they were doing. My well is located right next to my garden & there was no damage to my garden at all. The yard was not left a mess and there were no ugly scars or anything left over after the work was completed, which I really appreciated. I was very pleased with them & I will be using them again.

My well was not working. C & J came out and quickly diagnosed the problem. I figured I would have to replace a pump, but they were able to determine that I only needed an electrical box. Another company diagnosed a full pump replacement at $1800. C&J's fix cost only $350, so they saved me $1500. They even had the box right with them - so no waiting! My only (small) gripe is that $350 is a lot for a half-hour's work. I have no idea what the part cost is though.

Crew showed up on time, communicated well, got right to work, and did a dandy job. They left the work area neat. The whole project took far less time than we anticipated (and less than half the time it would have taken us).

I had four different crews on my project, all were very pleasant to deal with and professional. Crew #1 inspected my old well and serviced it to determine if it was still usable. Crew #2 drilled the new well and set the casing. They were very concerned that it was located in the right place and that the mess could be contained. Crew #3 did the directional drilling to get the line to the house. A couple problems arose which they dealt with. Crew #4 installed the pump and plumbing and got us up and running. All knew their job and did it well.

My pressure tank started leaking badly. I called them and spoke to George who was extremely understanding and was prompt to arrange for repair. They arrived at my home and had the repair completed within 4 hrs. What a great company to deal with!

Satisfactory job but problems. 4 separate work days to complete. Well cleanout resulted in debris in the water system requiring me to take apart and clean all interior plumbing fixtures with filters (faucets, washing machine, dishwasher). Existing water line and electrical wiring to well cut by horizontal boring of new line to pond. Required a temporary fix for the weekend since it occurred on a Friday. The temporary fix involved cutting off and removing an outside hose bib to run the temporary line to the basement. The new water and electrical line to the house added additional cost to the project. Despite horizontal boring, there was significant excavation required with a significant amount of lawn that will need new topsoil and reseeding. The end result was what I wanted: the constant pressure pump is very good improvement to our water system. The line to the pond allows me to maintain a more constant water level. However, it could have been more efficient with less mess at the end.

C & J Well Drilling Company came to our home at the scheduled time and quickly were able to locate the problem. The two employees were friendly and informative. We chose this company based on Angie's List as well as the company's ability to perform a large range of potential repairs. They are well experts.

The gentleman was able to diagnose the problem from the description of the problem my husband gave him. They brought a back hoe and dug up the well so they could replace a steel coupling that went into the pump. This had broken due to the age of the steel (about 40 years old). We had built a stone base for a birdbath around the well to disguise it. They lifted this off with the back hoe without damaging it. They dug about 5 feet down and fixed the problem. They then replaced the dirt without damaging the grass they had laid the dirt on. I was amazed! They arrived, diagnosed the problem and had it repaired all before noon on the day after it happened. I would highly recommend them!

I was very happy with the entire process. Took two days. Recommend without hesitation!

I called and they managed to fit me in that same day. They called en route so I could meet them at the property saving me from having to sit around and wait for them). They started work to locate the problem. They decided they needed to use a backhoe to do the digging (it was late in the day). Before they progressed, they made sure I knew and agreed to how much the cost would be. I said go ahead; they unloaded the backhoe. They got right to work and took care of the problem right away. The kids in the neighborhood had fun watching them work the backhoe. They were careful not to disrupt wires or anything else and had the water running in no time. They answered any questions I had and left no mess! I didn't have a printed copy of the Angie's List coupon so they couldn't give me the discount....I'll make sure I have access to a coupon the next time! But the neighborhood kids sure were having fun watching the backhoe in operation!

They were very fair. They did a good job.

At first, not so well. The boss on the job said he would get started the next day, as we were completely without water in our house (although we were able to hook a garden hose to our neighbor's outside outlet later). Then, when we wouldn't give him a signed commitment he made us pay $400 for the estimate work he had done that day and said he couldn't do our work for several days. When I called the next day and said I wanted them to do the work they were very prompt and got right on the job. They had water to us within two days. Overall we are pleased with the job they did, as we have good pressure, even better than we had before and no discolored water at all, at least yet. So I would give them a good recommendation but I wasn't pleased by the pressure they put on us to sign and for making us pay $400 because we didn't immediately sign. We supposedly got credit for the $400, but it appeared they just raised the bill by $400 and then gave us $400 credit on the final bill.

Very well: Of all the listed companies, only they could do the work on a holiday weekend!

I was skeptical about having to have a bucket well (expensive) drilled, but found out that most of our neighbors had one & our old well was a bucket well. C & J were great to work with and very helpful in explaining every aspect of the job. We had some questions after the hook-up and they got back to us right away. We still have a little bubbling with our water (it then clears), but hope it will clear up soon.

Josh came out and helped us place the well. They were very courteous and fast, and the price was reasonable, even though they had to dig 100 feet beyond where we thought they would. They did make a mistake and placed the well about 10 feet too close to the house, but they offered to come back and make it right. They didn't have to, though, since the county changed our permit.
