C & M LAWN CARE

All has gone well so far, but after only one application it is hard to say how good their quality is at this point. So far, I have been pleased with the response from the company and the price was comparable to another estimate we had received. We went with C and M as their treatment plan seems to be more comprehensive in treating weeds because they do more blanket applications than the other company suggested.

Chris called me out of the blue this year to tell me that he's in my neighborhood today and wanted to know if I still wanted him to do my lawn fertilization this year. Talk about awesome service! I love it when they call me to remind me. I've never met anyone so enthusiastic about lawn fertilization as Chris Landis. Last year he told me about how he loves to go up to Purdue University to take extension courses on lawn care and that fertilization is his thing. I've never met anyone who does lawns that gets this excited about it. He truly loves his work! He invested in some rather elaborate equipment to do his job and told me there are big differences in the products used to do fertilzation. He says many companies skimp on the ingredients and use the cheap stuff to get bigger profits. I guess you could say Chris is a purest when it comes to his craft. They don't come better than Chris Landis when it comes to lawn care!

I hired C&M Lawncare this Spring after receiving several estimates from nearby lawn care companies. Their pricing was the most reasonable of the four quotes that I received and I have been extremely pleased with their service. I live in a wooded area so my yard quickly becomes overrun by weeds and would-be trees if its untended to. They did an excellent job on the initial cleanup, and even trimmed the brush along the stairs leading down to our dock (not easy, since its a very steep stairway). They have come once a week since the initial cleanup and have delivered on their promise to keep my yard neat & tidy. Now that its Fall, I've added leaf removal to our service agreement. They've done a great job. Its nice to come home on Fridays to a neat and trimmed yard- a great way to start the weekend!

I normally mow my own yard with one of those old fashioned reel mowers that are human powered. Earlier this year, Chris edged and shaped up my beds and I had him come back out to mow once the edging started to look out of shape again. It's a great service that I can call him once in a while when my yard gets out of shape from my own mowing with the reel mower and he can shape it back up again. He only charged me $25! He's the best lawn care service I've ever found!

From begining to end Chris and C&M Lawncare did an amazing job. We had a specific kind of mulch in mind, and Chris was very helpful at figuring out exactly what would look best. The price was way more reasonable than anyone we had used in the past. He was very accomodating to our schedule. We gave him a time during the day that would work for us, and even though we weren't going to be home, when we showed up everything was mulched and edged perfectly. The tree rings, everything, was very symmetrical. My one requirement when looking to hire for this job was to find someone who knew what they were doing. From the estimate to helping us track down the type of mulch and offering suggestions as to ways we can improve the look of our yard, Chris was the expert we were looking for. We live in Meridian Hills, and from all of the past people we have hired, C&M was the best quality and price than anyone we had hired from around here. We love the way our yard looks and will definitely be using him in the future! I'm recommending this company to all of my neighbors and friends.

They've done it for a long time and they have done the best job of anyone we have used. We are very satisfied, and we have used them for about 8-10 years. They always do a nice job and even do more than what is expected. The price is reasonable as well.

As stated above, this company has been providing services to us for a long time. All encounters with them, whether mowing, fertilization and weed control on our lawn or mulching has been done in a timely and efficient manner. I would highly recommend them for such services. Their polite and reliable service is a welcomed relief from the run-of-the-mill lawn service providers.

I found Chris Landis on Angie's List and he said he could help me get my yard shaped up for summer. He came out the next day while I was away and emailed an estimate to shape up more than 100 feet of perennial beds which was too much hard labor for me to even dream about doing myself. It was such a good deal, that I scheduled him to come out later in the week. Chris used a machine to edge the sidewalks which created a perfectly straight crisp edge. He spayed the curved beds perfectly and fixed one by reshaping it slightly that my landscaper last year kind of screwed up. It really looks great now. What really impressed me though, was that he noticed my lawn fertilization company (I have a prepaid contract with for the whole year - also A-rated) missed a 25 square foot area of clover in my backyard along with a few other weeds like violet, canadian thistle, chickweed, and broadleaf plantain. I told him that I would just call the company to fix it and he INSISTED upon coming back the very next day to treat the missed spots for me and...GET THIS....for FREE! (He really wants my business next year and I think he's gonna get it.) Chris gave me an education on fertilization that I didn't know. Turns out there are all kinds of chemicals that lawn fert guys can buy ranging from $60 to $260 per unit of chemical. Obviously, the more expensive the chemical, the better and quicker we get the result we want, which is a lush gorgeous lawn. Chris only buys the top-of-the-line chemicals and I found his prices are in line with the guys that don't. He told me he buys the good stuff, because he wants his clients to have the greenest, most lush, beautiful lawns in their neighborhood, so they tell all their friends when they ask how they got such great lawns. Chris also told me he's 28 years old. At this young age he already owns three Dixie Choppers, two trucks, two trailers, two 48" finish mowers, plus an $8000 piece of equipment that is used for fertilization and weed control on large estates. Funny thing is, he's done this his whole life. Back before he could drive, he mom took him to his lawn mowing accounts. He's made a lot happen based on his passion. He learned his trade through extension courses at Purdue, and is obviously not only an expert now on lawn fertilization, but exudes a rare passion for his trade. In fact, he can't stop talking about it. He is a joy and has earned my business next year when my current prepaid contract runs out. There will always be a cold glass of lemonade for him at my house.

They are reasonably priced compared to other companies that we have used in the past.
