 + -1 moreI hired C&M to clean the landscaping, edge, and to put mulch down, as well as weekly lawn cutting services. My call was promptly returned and the estimate was on my door within 24 hours. I was so impressed w/ their responsiveness I hired them on the spot. The landscaping looks terrific. I came home after it had been completed and they had done such a great job there was not a blade of grass out of place or a piece of landscape mulch anywhere other than where it should be. They also do my weekly lawn cutting and do a great job. Always dependable and the grass looks fantastic. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: We hired this company for weekly mowing of our new lawn. They came and discussed the quote and I pointed out that we had new sod and that it was being kept very watered as a result. The first time they came to mow they ruined much of the sod in the front yard by using too heavy a large mower. It sank in the lawn and made deep ruts. They also chewed up the sod on an incline by using the wrong equipment. To make the matter worse - once it was clear the mower was too heavy and creating ruts, the mower kept on going the entire stretch of the lawn. The ridges were deep enough they needed to be remedied for both appearance and safety reasons so no one would twist an ankle. They agreed to repair the lawn back to its original condition. HOWEVER, they tried rolling out the lawn and it didn't work so they agreed that we get an estimate from our landscaper to fill in the ruts and re-sod. That cost was over $800, which they agreed to split with us. I thought this was generous - that we would agree to pay any of the cost of the damage THEY did. In the end, they never did reimburse the landscaper, much to our embarrassment. she came in good faith to repair their damage. Even after they spoke to both the landscaper and us to assure us they would pay this cost, they never did. Of course we paid the landscaper even though she was going to eat the loss - I had to ask her point blank if she'd been paid and only then did she admit she hadn't been.

Chris and his crew had been there during the day and all of the weeds were gone and there was beautiful fresh mulch in all the beds. The yard looked amazing. He has since cleaned up the beds again for 2012 and mows my yard on an as need basis this year (drought hit it hard). I intend to have Chris and his crew clean the beds and add mulch again next year. I also intend to keep using him for my mowing service. I have been extremely happy with the service he has provided.
Description of Work: I originally contacted Chris about cleaning up my yard and flower beds after the winter, then I asked about weekly lawn moving, etc.

 + -1 moreIt is great. Our lawn looks much better than when my husband use to do it. He comes and goes without any effort from me. Our lawn is always mowed properly. During the drought, he stopped all service (fertilization and mowing). I was really happy with this - I thought I might have to call him and tell him to stop - but I did not. He did what was best for my lawn. I was happy that the drought was not too long and that he stayed in business. We will definitely use him next year for both the mowing and fertilization. We actually have asked him to do our mulching too next year. When our lawn mower broke, our lawn was long. We called him frist because he was doing our fertilizer, he came over that day (saturday) and cut our lawn

 + 0 moreSelected the company based on reviews. Chris put us off for a couple of weeks for an estimate this was sometime in Early to mid May. He arrived pretty unexpectedly. He is a nice guy and we walked around the yard. I wanted landscaping, soil for the foundation (it had recessed)and lawn treatment. I still do not have the soil, but I never paid for it. So that is a good thing. He came to do the flower beds in late June. He did a lawn treatment in July. There were a few streaks in the yard after the treatment, but they went away in aces weeks and it was confined to a small area. The flower beds looked pretty good and much better than they looked before. My bill for services came a few weeks later (still no soil). It was put on my door under a completely wrong name not even close. I emailed him and told him no thank you for future services. I hold no grudges it just did not work out as I anticipated. I have hired landscapers before with a different outcome, so my expectations were higher. If you have the time to keep after him and call to follow up, then maybe it will be different. I do not have the time to chase someone around.

 + -1 moreDue to the heavy rains in the spring it was slower than expected to get service initiated. Once service was established it is sort of an auto pilot process.
Description of Work: It's really hard to judge since I've only had 1 treatment prior to the drought. I am not disappointed by any means. I did appreciate the method of billing being left on my door after service is complete. I will write more when I have a little more time to assess the success of the treatment. My grass is so improved from last year at this time. I do credit C and M and also the rain.

Description of Work: I bid out my lawn care this year, and decided to go with Chris and his dad, Mark. They were professional, responsive, and Chris prepared a detailed quote for all my outdoor needs...mulching, pruning, lawn care, fertilization, and snow removal. Within 2 weeks, they came and mulched, and did a superb job. In spite of all the rain, they've been able to work my lawn cutting in and fertilization. In fact, Chris was here on Mother's Day fertilizing my lawn! He saw a break in the rain, and wanted to get it done for me. Outstanding service provider! Pleasant, hard working, and courteous!
