THEIR WORK IS ALLWAYS GOOD. THEY WILL COME WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL. THEY ALLWAYS ACT IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER.

Apparently they used the wrong material for the shower, and they didn't install it correctly which caused it to link. I have a stain on my dining room ceiling and in the hallway. The paint and plaster have peeled. I called them back to repair, and they didn't take the floor out and they just put another on top of it. They said the reason I had the problem in the hallway was because the house was settling. The shower still leaks, I am not sure if of the other plumbing still leaks. I have had 2 others plumbers look at it, who said the only way to fix it would be to take everything out and start all over.

After lines were run to new bathroom, new toilet in older bathroom would not flush and the plumber broke new toilet which he replaced. He also broke the water line which leaked for several days, flooding my bathroom. He said to "put a fan on it" and eventually did send a worker who used a shop vac to clean up water and replaced the broken line. My flooring was ruined, my subfloor warped. I did not pay what he wanted for unclogging new toilet ($250) (how does a new toilet get clogged??) because he never compensated me for the flooring or the warped subfloor. I believe the company needs to hire more responsible and better plumbers. The company is only as good as it's employees. I have pics of the floor.

This particular gentleman has a family-owned business which has operated in the area for so many years that they practically have a monopoly on any plumbing services that can be had locally. He employs several of his sons, who in turn have very large families. That said, I'll turn to the problem. I had asked Mr. DeWeese to come out because my tub and toilet appeared to be backing up. He said it could be a problem with the sewer line being clogged and at that point offered to "check it out" to see. He indicated that if he did indeed find a problem, then we would discuss what needed to be done and how much it would cost. My clear understanding was that the initial inspection was part of what they term "a free estimate". At any rate, on the day he came out, he brought two of his sons and all three took a turn with the shovel. I indicated to them where I knew the sewer line to be located but they dug three rather large holes before actually finding it (where I said it was). Later yet another son stopped by with HIS infant son. They were at my house for maybe 30-45 minutes when they declared that they had found the line and that it wasn't clogged. This was good news for me because I'm a single mother with two teens of my own and really couldn't afford anything expensive. He offered to come back in a couple of days to fill the holes back in. I waited a week and no one came to fill in the holes. The forecast was calling for thunderstorms, so my kids and I filled in the holes ourselves. Later, I called his office to let them know it was taken care of. I thought that would be it. However, OVER A MONTH LATER, I receive a bill for $95. I called and couldn't get anyone. So I wrote a letter saying there must be a mistake somewhere because I was merely getting an estimate and he had indicated to me that his initial inspection wouldn't cost anything. At this point I want to inject that I've used this man's services before. When I first moved into my home in 1993, I had to have the entire plumbing system under the house replaced by PVC pipe to the main. He charged me $1200. Later friends told me I had been overcharged, but what do I know about plumbing? Also, my Dad had recommended him and I trusted my Dad (he's deceased now). At any rate, Mr. DeWeese indicated to me that he and his sons spent an hour digging these holes and needed to be paid. I told him that I didn't think it was normal practice to bring a baby along to a work site. At any rate, we agreed on a reduced payment of $50. I know I won't be using his services again because I feel he's dishonest and he has a huge family to support. I'll probably have to go to Terre Haute to find a plumber now but I'd rather take my chances than give this family any more of my business.
