Description of Work: This service was done around 8 years ago. They replaced a drainage pipe in the back yard. They got the job done and didn't seem to charge an outrageous amount. I can't remember much of the details other than we were pleased.

Description of Work: cleaned out a drain for the third time and finally told me that one of the hangers had broken and that the drain was sagging and that is why it was getting the clogs. They braced it up and I have not had any problem since. If they had fixed it right the first time I would not have had to call them back on two more occasions.

Description of Work: They serviced my HVAC system. They did a good job. They also did a repair under my home owner warranty. I had the same service person both times. He is very friendly and professional.

Description of Work: Checked pressure switch in crawl space due to "no water." We are on a well. |The technician tightened up wires on the pressure switch. He forgot to reconnect the ground. A week later, we had no water again, and called someone else to check it out. They discovered the missing ground. |We called John and John because they were listed in the yellow pages under 24-hour plumbers. We were desperate. The man that came was polite, quick and got the water back on. The lack of grounding was a bit upsetting.

Description of Work: They came out in a very bad snow storm to fix our plumbing screw up. Stayed till it was finished. Anyone else would have cancelled.

Description of Work: I emailed and left message on voicemail but no one ever got back with me. So I contacted someone else.

Description of Work: Put in upstairs shower unit, sink, toilet and related plumbing. The shower was put in incorrectly and correct materials were not used. Caused water damage to walls and floor in bathroom, water damage to downstairs dinning room ceiling and downstairs hallway ceiling and wall. Bathroom floor was not replaced, but another floor put on top of the damaged floor. Mistakes with shower acknowledged but a do over was refused. Nothing else was done with the bathroom. Downstairs damage in dinning room acknowledged; there was no compensation, tried to blame obvious water damage in hallway on "settling"; no compensation. After seeing pictures and a consult, attorney advised a lawsuit would result in my favor, but John&Johns could prolong payment and attorney fees would be expensive. Estimates now include having to tear most everything out, correctly installing new plumbing, tearing out the floors and putting a new floor down, reinstalling the sink and toilet, and correctly putting in a new shower using correct materials. This does not include the damage downstairs. The mess they made will cost at least twice as much to clean up as I paid them initially. I tell everyone I know about John&Johns and still would sue them if I could afford it.
