Aim To Please Plumbing & Electric was on target. We were very pleased with the professionalism and workmanship of the effort. Grade "A" across the board. We called on a Friday morning to replace a water heater and faulty inlet valve and they scheduled an appointment time that afternoon with Malachi. Malachi was very professional, pleasant, and explained what he was doing and why. The previous installation was not "user friendly" with the shut-off valves in bad (potentially dangerous) locations. Malachi reworked all that to be a safer and more convenient installation all at a very reasonable price. The only hiccup was that the job prior to mine took a bit longer than scheduled (always a risk with later appointments). Malachi called to let me know prior to the original scheduled appointment and we slid the appointment time. I still graded an A for punctuality because I agreed to a shift in time and I appreciated the up front communication (in the end he just barely missed the originally scheduled start time). I will look to them first if I have any plumbing needs in the future.

We called and told them we needed someone to come out and look at our heater. We were asked some basic questions. They told us what they though it might be just so we were prepared. The two men were good at telling us having two of them working together would take lesser time than one b/c one would take more time b/c it is so big. They were nice, pleasant, and worked well.

We were very happy with the service provided. The service providers were professional, prompt (in fact 15 minutes early... which is rare based upon previous experience with other companies), and expediant. Not only did they unclog the drain which had backed up into my dishwasher, which is what I initially called about, but also installed a PUR filter system on my kitchen faucet. Not only would I use them again, but would recommend them to anyone.

Oh no! Mystery leak Kyle and Alan rescue Plumbing sleuths extraordinaire they Grateful These folks bring their brains and a great attitude to work! They deducted logically and quickly the most probable source of the leak from our upstairs to our kitchen floor. They were here when they said they would be. They were efficient but unhurried, neat, cheerful, polite, knowledgable, humorous and patient. After repairing the toilet that was the likely culprit, along with a couple of other things that came up, they cleaned up, packed up to leave, and turned the water back on. Alas, when they checked the flow, debris in the pipes had knocked loose during the fix and they needed to turn off the water again, bring stuff back in and take care of that. And so they did - without a grumble. My confidence level that they got it right is pretty high. Kyle is apprenticing. The exchanges between him and Alan made clear to me that Kyle was a good student and Alan a good teacher. Great pipe detectives these Aim to Please folks. I'm not losing their phone number!

As noted, I called the provider for an estimate. Before he arrived my kitchen drain became clogged,so upon his arrival I asked that he start with clearing the drain. He filled both sinks, turned on my garbage disposal and the drain immediately cleared. He stated that water was dripping under the sink which I did not see and there was no evidence that any drip had occurred. He had two trainees who are said to have replaced a washer. I did not see the replacement as I was in the bathroom with the provider. We wanted a colored installation which he talked us out of since we have a white toilet. When he had his measurements and all the information he needed, we went back the the kitchen. He made out an invoice for clearing the drain, $150. This might have been reasonable if he had had to snake out the pipe, but not for what he did. With regard to the estimate which is why I originally called him, I have received nothing although three weeks have passed. Would I use or recommend Aim to Please? Would you? I will not.

It is troubling to receive a negative review. However we try to look at the bright side: The drain was cleared and the minimum charge applied, no extra charge for the apprentices' assistance. There is no leak under the sink now, where one was (due to the clog's pressure standing in the pipe). The client gets to pick color for fixtures. If someone wants a bone tub/shower to sit next to a white stool, they get it, but we urge against it. This member indicated they had no computer, but prefered the bid to be sent via snail-mail. We received no notice that it did not appear in their mailbox until now. Well, now, you the reader get a sense that we cannot please everyone. These are real reviews: for the good and the bad. Should I re-send the bid for a new shower? Would you? ............................

Josh and Malachi did a professional job. I showed them both sinks, and they corrected both for the leakes at the interconnects and explained the reasoning behind the cause of the failure (bad valve caused by cheap parts). For the most part though, what made me satisfied with the job they did was the attention to detail and forethought for ease of future repair. (Example: For replacing the tub faucet cartridge they removed one more cover on the guest bathroom tub which a previous plumber did not do on the master bathroom a year earlier. They did this so as to get a wrench on the back side of the stud to provide a counter torque to the calcified cap which needed to be removed. theprior plumber did not do this and he was worried about breaking the stud off the back side. Furthermore, upon reassembly they lubricated the threads on the cap to make future removal easier for the next person who might need to remove that cap. The prior plumber did not do this for the master bathroom so I had them do that for the master. Upon inspection of the crawl space they informed me it was condensation from the Air conditionor and it wasn't a leak. Overall they exhibited signs that they cared about their tradecraft and quality of work which is more than I can say for the prior plumber.

I had used them in the past. They did such a great job that when I decided to have the remodeling done they were the only ones I called because I know they did a good job. Honestly, you get what you pay for. I'm not sure if they're a little bit more expensive, I just know they do a good job. They were out to give me an estimate in two days. They arrived when they said they would and did what they said they were going to do and it was good.

Aim-to-Please lives up to their name?and then some! Aim-to-Please most recently did some work at my home on July 17, 2014. I had several things for them to do, including a toilet that ran and had a broken handle. While working on my toilet, they accidentally broke it. They immediately told me what happened and that they would replace the toilet at no charge. The new toilet is nicer looking, more modern and worth significantly more than the toilet they replaced! In addition to this, they kindly replaced some hard-to-reach, burned-out light bulbs and even cleaned my bathroom fan -- and they did this at no charge! All of their work was done efficiently, functions properly and looks great as well! I?ve used Aim-to-Please a few times before and they have always done good, quality work and been very professional and respectful. It is clear they take pride in what they do and really care about customer service! This is the only time they have ever made a mistake and they owned it and then took the initiative to go above and beyond to make it right! I can?t say enough good things about this business and will continue to use and recommend them!!! I wish all businesses were this honest, reliable, high-quality and professional!! Thank you, Aim-to-Please!

I have lived in Bloomington for 45 years, and over the years my wife and I identified our service providers. I wish to thank this member for taking the time to make a review. These reviews are not a simple thing for us; they are expressions of the goodwill we try to establish with every client. Creativity in wording is appreciated too. It helps our e-neighbors to see these are not mere planted reviews. You may see Malachi, Alan, and Nathan mentioned in many of these reviews. They each have an apprentice now to help get them through projects more quickly. These apprentices are young men needing a boost in life, to get their feet on the ground and steered along. As you hear them working together likely you will hear jovial banter intertwined with points of instruction. We do indeed have a good team. We are grateful for these ratings. They are shared at our morning meetings for a moral boost. (BTW: those mentioned by name get a bonus too;) Cheers, ~Alan

Aim To Please was called for a night time service call when we discovered our water heater leaking the night before departing on vacation. Malachi was very professional on the phone and arrived within 20 minutes as promised. He determined our water heater would need to be replaced and assisted in determining how to drain it and shut it off since it was connected to our geothermal heating and cooling unit. While waiting for the heater to drain he took the time to repair a faulty toilet flapper, too. We can't thank Malachi enough for coming over at such a late hour. We will be getting a quote on a water heater from Aim To Please and would never hesitate to call them again due to the outstanding service we received.

Nathan and Joshua were able to come earlier than the appointment which worked out better for me. They talked me thru everything they were doing and why and were friendly, curteous and professional. It only took them an hour to evaluate the problem and correct the issue. I will use Aim To Please Plumbing again
Description of Work: The drain by my furnace was backing up. Nathan and Joshua checked the drained and relayed several possibilities for what the cause could be. They started by removing the clog and then flushed the drained. They also checked the septic system (main tank, liquid holding tank, fingersystem tank and pump) to make sure they were working properly. Fortunately for me the only issue was the clog in the drain by the furnace. The drain lid will need to be replaced and I'll schedule a follow up appointment to have this done since they didn't have the parts with them at the time.

I was greeted with a hand shake from Malachi Meeker and Josh Brinegar who are cousins they told me. They were professionally dressed and clean. At first greeting I knew I had called the right place. They did attempt to get in the crawl space but decided that the standing water prevented them from replacing the current drain pipe from the washer. In the meantime I had them look at my water heater because I could not have more than one person take a shower in the morning or evening because of the hot water was not sufficient. I knew I probably had a bad lower element but when Malachi took of the front panel it leaked a rusty water colored stuff. Malachi said "this one is done". They had to leave to get a new 50 gallon heater and said they would be back in about 30 minutes and true to their word, they were back in 22 minutes. They got everything hooked up and said in about an hour I could take shower. They hauled the old water heater off for me. Josh and I finished up as Malachi had a doctors appointment, his feet were feeling very poorly after a 12 hour work day and a 10 mile hike this past Friday. I hope that the doctor can help him and its nothing serious. I need to Thank Angie's List for keeping up on all the reviews for ATP. They are great young men and hope the best for them in the future, also hope to see them in a couple weeks when my crawl space dries out and I can get another problem solved. Thanks again Malachi and Josh.
Description of Work: I had placed the call to have my washer drain looked at. Because of rain water in the crawl space they could not get in there until it dries out a little bit. While they were here I had them check on my water heater. It was showing signs of wear since it was dated 1996. I now have a brand new water heater. Thank you.

The pipe draining our kitchen sink and the washer (located underneath the kitchen in the basement) and begun to back up and was coming out of the overflow pipe into the basement. We were able to get Aim To Please out essentially the next day. We made arrangements for our college -aged son to meet them as my wife and I both had to work. Per our son, they arrived on time, were professional and thorough in their approach, explained the situation to my son and completed the work in a timely and cost efficient manner. We have had no further problems with the system. They also did not try to do any work that wasn't needed.

This review is given by Wanda Hosea. The two gentlemen, Malachi Meeker and Joshua Brinegar, who provided the service were very professional and polite - both to me and to each other. They were considerate when asked to remove shoes when entering the home, particularly because of the rainy weather. They wasted no time starting work and explained to me what they were doing and were going to do. In addition, they showed me the broken pipe, explained the cause of the problem and gave recommendations to eliminate a second occurrence. Afterward they cleaned up and left everything the way they found it - AND all this work did not take very long time. I would use this service again.

Alan came out to check out the various things we needed addressed from our home inspection report and afterward provided an estimate. We went with Aim to Please and he and a coworker came out on time, were professional, provided some ideas to consider regarding other issues in our newly purchased home, and were a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: Had them come out to a home I had just purchased and moved into for a few things. House has two water heaters that used same lines, so they split the water heaters to balance load and be able to isolate either. Also installed outlets for booster fans and a newly installed sump pump in the crawl space, secured an attic fan box, and inspected and secured exterior outlets and covers.

PVC pipe was leaking at an elbow fitting. I had already removed the drywall to allow for access to the leak. The repairer had to remove and replace a couple PVC joint fittings in a very confined area of the ceiling adjacent to furnace ducting and floor/ceiling trusses. The job was accomplished expeditiously. Clean up consisted of leaving the area as it had been found.

I noticed a slow drip leak the night of Thursday, February 27 coming from the bottom of my water heater (35 year old electric water heater 52 gal). I knew it was likely that I would have to replace it, based on its age and where the leak was apparently coming from. I called Aim To Please at 9:00am Friday morning, February 28. I was told by a very pleasant woman on the phone that they could have someone come out at 10:00am that morning. At 9:55am Jesse showed up. He was extremely polite, respectful, and eager to help. He recommended I get a new unit, explained everything I needed to know, answered all my novice questions, told me it would be around the $800.00 price, plus some extra for replacing the shut off valve (upon my request). He made sure I knew that it wasn't something I absolutely had to do, and that I could wait if I needed time to gather the financials. I said I'm ready to do this ASAP... the rest of the details are not important as the main point here is by 12:00pm, the same freakin' day, the new unit was installed and working, and they had the old unit in the back of their truck. Less than 3 hours from the time I called to have someone come check out my problem they were done with all the work!!! The 6 year full service warranty was explained fully, the operations of the new unit were thoroughly explained as well. Not only was Jesse extremely prompt and professional, so was Nathan who brought the new unit over and helped Jesse with the installation. Both top notch guys. If I ever have a plumbing issue in the future these are the guys I'm calling, without question. I have no idea how to really grade the price, but I thought it was reasonable - I was figuring $1,000.

That is really the company culture here, going forth to be someone's hero every day. For you prospective clinets, please keep the fresh reviews coming. If you were to see only three-year-old reviews you would wonder what happened to make them stop. We will continue to do our best.
