It was easy and went very well. I called to set up a time, and they arrived on time. After assessing the situation, one of the two men left to get the needed pump while the other removed the old one and prepped for the new pump. Installation and operation went smoothly. The men were courteous and professional--they do good work!

I have used Aim to Please in the past and have always been very satisfied with their work. Alan and James came out to resolve two little jobs that I've been waiting for my husband to get to for a couple of years...put in a waterline for the ice maker and fix a faulty light over my kitchen sink. The ice maker line went in easily and but the light had us all scratching our heads to figure out why a simple fixture with a 40 watt bulb kept tripping the GFCI outlet. The guys did lots of tests and took the fixture apart and it was James who figured out the problem...the professional electrician who installed the line at the time of our kitchen remodel wired the GFCI in wrong! So, Alan and James came out and completed the jobs they quoted me for and fixed the mistakes of a previous electrician and my husband and I...and didn't charge anything extra. I knew it before but am still always impressed with how Aim to Please always sticks to their estimates. I use them without hesitation and I know almost all of my neighbors do too because I see their truck around.
Description of Work: Hook up ice maker including running waterline to the fridge. Included unexpected replacements of the valve (I think) on the cold water line. Fixed a light fixture that I wired in myself that kept tripping the GFCI. Including unexpected troubleshooting and rewiring GFCI outlet that professional electrician installed incorrectly.

The jobs went really well. No issues with new faucet installations. The next job was relocating gas line and changing out copper lines to flexible ones. The old gas lines were in the way of a remodeling job we were planning in our laundry room. We also had lived with a drain that jetted out into our family room through the utility room wall. We hid it for yrs with a speaker cabinet, but we're wanting it moved. Turned out to be a big job. Concrete floor had to be cut into, drain was installed incorrectly, which wasn't anticipated, so new pipes had to be installed, then covered with new cement. Now we have a drain that's actually inside our utility room, not sticking through the wall in our family room. Allen, the owner, James, Malachi, and Nathan did a great job containing the dust from the drilling, and cleaning up after work finished. We were very pleased with their work and would definitely use them again. Thanks guys!
Description of Work: Installed two new faucets in bathroom sinks. Moved drain in our basement to a different location. Involved hammering through concrete floor and relocating drain to a less conspicuous location. Reworked gas line to furnace and water heater.

Superb--clean job well done. We'll use them again if we need to in the future.
Description of Work: We had a great experience with Aim To Please and will use them again. Called them on Nov. 16. James came out within a half hour, diagnosed a slow leak coming from a crawlspace AV duct. We called their main office to schedule an appointment for services, but he actually had drove back to our house to see if they could do the job *the day of.* He cut open a piece of the flooring to get to the leak and was in and out. He was extremely professional--shoes off, more than happy to detail what he was doing, honest in his assessment, and clean. We highly recommend this family-run business.

They came out in an hour and gave me a full estimate for the job and decided he really didn't want to do the job or the couple little parts he wanted to. He didn't finish the gasline and then charged me different than what he had on the estimate. I was very unhappy and I had the rest of it completed by somebody else. Unfortunately he made a mistake in his estimate and decided not to honor it.

Response from Aim To Please Plumbing & Electric
Well now..... As you may suppose, there are two sides to a story, just as there are to a coin. Our bid was performed to the letter. We did not short the project or quality. We did not, however, perform repairs to an appliance that came without necessary adjustments/repair. Aim To Please is good at Plumbing, Electric, and remodeling, but not appliance repair. Please do not expect us to repair your refrigerator, dishwasher, or range. We ensure that water, gas, and drains work properly, but appliance repairs are a different field. Even though the project was changed by the member before our arrival, we crawled through mud to complete the project. Another contractor was in the way and we made allowance for that rather than postpone the project. We were punctual and the price was agreed upon before beginning. Alas, we cannot please everyone. Please read more reports to get the full perception of our work ethic.

For the record, I'm one of those reviewers that gives out very few "A's". If an individual/company is reasonably pleasant to work with and does what I pay them to do (and gets it done right the first time), then they earn a "B" in my book. I reserve the "A's" for those service providers that provide an exceptionally good value, that solve an especially complex problem for me, that are unusually flexible and accomodating, and so forth. In other words, I reserve the "A's" for those individuals/companies that truly go above and beyond. Booking the Appointment - This phone call went smoothly and the scheduler gave me several options within 72 hours (including one time slot the next day). I was a little disappointed, however, that she didn't clarify their charges up front and seemed ready to hang up as soon as the appointment was set. I had to specifically ask what their trip charge was ($30) and how much they charged per hour ($100). When I asked about the time increments they used for billing partial hours (e.g. 1/10 hour? 1/4 hour?), she wasn't sure and had to put me on hold to find this basic information. It turns out that they bill in 1/2 hour increments (so if your job takes 35 minutes, you're billed for the entire hour.) Rather than her volunteering the information, I also had to ask the name of the plumber that would be visiting my house, so I knew who to expect. I'm assertive enough to ask for all this information myself, but would be concerned if, say, my elderly parents were calling to arrange service and didn't think to ask (or felt too hurried to make the inquiry.) (Note: After the plumbers had completed their work at my house, they specifically asked for feedback on my experience. I shared the above with them and they listened very intently and seemed very appreciative that I had shared it with them. They also said they agreed with my feedback and would work to make changes in their office procedures. I haven't needed to call them back, so I don't know if they've actually made these changes, but they seemed genuinely committed to doing a good job and being responsive to their customers.) The Job - Micah seemed very thorough and did not waste time as he did the work. He answered all of my questions (and even a few that I didn't think to ask) very well and helped me understand what was needed and how I could avoid problems in the future (e.g. don't use those bleachy cleaning tablets in toilet tank because they break down the materials in the tank mechanism.) He helped me find a good solution for cheaply adding a strainer to my shower drain too. When he identify a leak around the base of the toilet that I hadn't noticed, he worked to identify the source and found an additional problem with the wax ring that I wasn't aware of. Also very helpful. For what it's worth, I REALLY appreciated the fact that these guys didn't seem intent on selling me something that I didn't need. I've hired other plumbers around town over the years and a few of them always seemed to be trying to "upsell" me on new items or more work than I really needed. I never once got that impression with Aim To Please.
Description of Work: Called to request plumber's assistance with a few items in my new home including the following: (1) Replacing the internal mechanism for a toilet, (2) Repairing/replacing a water shut-off valve leading to the toilet, and (3) Reviewing options for adding a strainer to my shower drain. Ultimately, they wound up replacing the internal mechanism, a shut-off valve leading to the toilet, and the wax ring on which the toilet was sitting. I also got some helpful advice on the least expense options for adding a strainer to my shower drain.

I had the new part, so they did the labor. $110 seemed like a lot (that included a 10% discount for paying at time of service) for less than a half hour of time on site, but I guess it's standard for this line of work (which includes a servic call charge, time from leaving the shop till returning, etc.). Quality of work was fine, and personnel were great.

It went very well. This was not the first time that I have used Aim To Please and it will not be tha last. Alan and Nathan were prompt, courteous an friendly. They removed thier shoes when coming into the house and cleaned up after themselves. I think I should mention Nathan two more times for the next morning meeting. Nathan.
Description of Work: Alan and Nathan installed multiple electrical outlets in a workshop, my wifes craft room as well as two floor recepticles in the guest room of our new (to us) home. They ran a connection outside for a spa and a gas line for my gas stove and disconnected a small gas firplace. Alan and Nathan also took the time to fix a plumbing problem under my kitchen sink of my own creation when I got in over my head. Lastly they reconfigured the two water heaters in the basement so that I could shut one of them off.

Alan was efficient and completed the installations quickly. (He also removed his shoes at the door). I couldn't find a thing to clean up (very different from past experiences)! It was really nice to have both services done in one service call. Within less than 2 hours, it was all done! Alan, Malachi, and Nathan were all so professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. It was a pleasure doing business with them!,
Description of Work: Alan arrived as scheduled to replace the broken toilet flush valve (he provided) and replace 2 light fixtures (I provided). What a pleasure to have him do the work, as it was perfect (I'm very picky)! What convinced me to use Aim to Please was the initial experience the week prior, when Malachi and Nathan came to repair the unusable toilet. I was so impressed when they removed their shoes at the door without being asked. I am a clean freak! The toilet was so old that they couldn't repair it. The valve needed to be replaced. So they did a very clever "fix" to make it usable until they came back to replace the part. I was impressed, again! And there was no charge because they didn't have parts to replace it! What honesty! I have had lots of work done in this old house, which I totally restored, and this was the BEST service I have ever had! They have my business forever!

This was a job at a duplex. The estimate was given and told it would be 1 1/2 weeks before he could do the job. That same day I e-mailed him to say he could have the job and to schedule me in. I got no response so I did not know if he had received the message or not since I got no response. Without warning, I got an angry response from my tenant early monday morning. She had been woke up without warning and I did not know anything about his arrival time since he had not contacted me. Long story short, he did do what he said he would do, but should have had some communication with me so I could have set a time with my tenant. He started the job 7:30 AM and finished sometime that afternoon. He also had to cut an access hole in the adjoining closet to get to the plumbing.
Description of Work: An old galvanized faucet in the tub/shower was not working correctly, so Alan Meeker of "Aim to Please" came to give an estimate on replacing the shower surround over the tub, replacing the old fixtures, replacing the pipes with PEX plumbing.

Not quite sure how to respond...........We were awarded the project via email. The secretary set the appointment within a few days, on the following Monday. We start our days at 9:00 am so everyone can have time to get up and ready for the day, not 7:30 (that's when my alarm goes off). The hole in the wall was turned into an access panel, and we even raised the showerhead so it now showers one's head instead of their chest. The new faucet and surround are the best available. We went four hours overtime on the project at no extra charge. Oh well, we try our best but cannot please everyone.

Great service from start to finish and my toilet is working better than it has in years! My kids even commented on how nice the plumber was. Showed me all that needed repaired, explained why, and efficiently completed the repairs. While the hourly rate and travel charge seemed a little high to me, I can attest that the plumber sent was very aware of the time and worked to get everything done quickly and I do believe that the professionalism and quality of work was worth the extra money.

Service was prompt, professional and friendly. The price above is total spent with this company over 3 service calls. I would recommend them to anyone. One thing I would suggest is to check little things that could be overlooked if the young guys come to do the work. Once they forgot to relight the pilot on the hot water heater after turning off the gas to move a gas line. Also, the first seal that was put on the gas line was leaky. Not sure if it was a defective part or an incomplete solder but they came back out immediately to fix when the problem was discovered. Overall, nice people, great service and good work.
