Dog Watch Hidden Fence of Central Indiana

It went excellent. The owner who came out and gave the estimate was excellent and so was the installer. They were very nice and the product works very well.

Curt, the owner, came out to inspect the installation. It was flawless. The fence is working perfectly. It helped with training our dog. We are very happy with him.

I worked with Dogwatch since moving with our system from North Carolina. They were always great to work with; expedient, efficient and I did not ever feel taken advantage of monetarily. We moved and our current house had an Invisible Fence so we did not take our Dog Watch system with us. What a mistake. The experience is night and day. I miss Curt and Dog Watch. I just want to let people know if they are deciding between the two definitely go with Dog Watch.

The fence has worked well and we have been very happy with it. They did a good job and they did everything we expected. They have been out to service the fence a few times when we have accidentally cut the line and they have quickly come out to repair it.

Called and spoke with Curt and got an estimate over the phone, he seemed quite knowledgable about the dog fence industry. We did speak with 2 other competitors and ultimately decided to go with Dog Watch due to Curt had the best price from the beginning and also the dog collar batteries on this system will last 2-3 yrs a, depending on how much your dog challanges the system and uses the battery life. There are some systems that you need to change the battery every 6 months and it can get costly. Something to think about. Fewer batteries and less maintenance sounded like a better deal. Patrick installed our fence on Thursday and was very nice/knowledgable about installation and careful not to damage any irrigation lines etc. He trained our dog with the fence for about 20-25 min. that really is all your dog needs intially. Then Curt came back out on the following Wed and we trained some more, very thoroughly. Our dog is a mini goldendoodle and seems to have picked up on the fence right away. We are happy with the freedom he has now to be with us in the yard.

They are excellent to work with; they install it and they come back for servicing on occasions too.

I was very pleased with Dog Watch's willingness to replace the collar unit. I'd recommend Dog Watch to anyone who is considering installing a hidden pet fence.

What an unbelievable product! Installation was a breeze and only took 2 hours. Patrick, (the installer/trainer) was great with the dogs, explained what he was going to do and was very polite. First we walked the perimeter and discussed where to put the fence, then the told me how he was going to install it. After installation (which was clean and easy) he explained how to train the dogs and even took them on a walk around the fence to begin training. Since the fence has been installed, no issues - the dog has stopped wandering off and knows his boundaries. Curt came out a week later to finish training and check up. This is a great company and I had a great experience.

My experience was excellent. Curt Little was my contact there. When he came out he made some suggestions about how to block off the garden sections to keep the dogs out. His explanation on training the dogs was excellent. He came back to check-up on the dogs and their training.

We were disappointed in this company. We chose them over Invisible Fence brand based on Angie's List recommendations. Curt Little came to our house and told us about how the fence works, gave us an estimate, promised professional training and convinced me on the spot that we should hire them to contain our dog. On the day of installation, two guys came to put in the wire and the monitoring unit inside the garage. (Incidentally, they put a sign on our mailbox post to the effect: "This dog is contained Dogwatch hidden fencing" without asking if we minded their doing, so we DID mind and took it off. They also put a section of the wire in a flower bed just under the mulch where we accidentally dug it up when planting seeds) As they appeared to be packing up to go, I inquired about training the dog. One of the guys told me that everything I needed to know I could learn in the owner's manual. When I pushed, he gave me 5-10 minutes of "training" with the dog and acted frustrated when I was asking questions, as though he were in a hurry. In the week that followed, I did my homework training with our dog for five days as instructed. We had paid for two training sessions, and Curt came to do the second training, again lasting no more than 15 minutes of face-to-face with the dog. When our dog broke through the fence barrier repeated times a few days afterward, I called the company (they have a guarantee for training). A day or two later, Curt returned my call and came back out to, basically, amp up the shock on the collar. Well, that certainly did the trick, now our dog hardly moves beyond a 15-foot radius from the patio and is scared to death of the yard. Does it work? Well, in essence, yes, but is it the quality that we were promised? Hardly.

They did a good job and were very customer oriented.

Curt came out and we went over the general area and put some flags out where we wanted the fence. He scheduled the install for a few days later so he could have the utilities marked. The utilities were marked and they were even kind enough to get some paint on my driveway and the road, but that's not Dogwatch who did that. The installer came out and installed the system on my 1/3 acre lot in less than an hour. It has been up and running now for a couple of weeks and is doing great. It wasn't until later that evening when my neighbor came over that I found out they had cut his cable. I have no way of knowing if they can tell when they cut a cable or not, but looking around the yard where Curt had placed the flags initially I saw that while the utilities had been marked going to my house, the cable going to my neighbors had not even though it came from a box in my yard. That should have been marked. The problem was promptly taken care of by the cable company the next day, but it's still an embarrassing way to welcome myself to the new neighborhood. I would recommend Dogwatch as my family has had long success with their system and we have had good support from them, but I would recommend they take a close look at who is marking the utilities for them.

Things went great. They came out the day after I called to fix the breaks and were able to return in 4 days to install the new unit. They were about 1 1/2 hours late for the appointment, but I was called 30 minutes before the appointment time and told about the delay. Installation took less than an hour; they installed all new wiring in addition to the new receiver unit. I was trained on the new unit, and they sized the collars to my dogs' necks, too. It is nice knowing that I have a working fence and no longer have to go outside, in December, with the puppy.

They were professional and great with the dog.

It went very well; we got several estimates from several companies. Curt came out and was very nice and helpful, and the price was very right, especially from a value standpoint. Curt's price was at least several hundred dollars less than the others and I couldn't really see that any other system was superior to the Dogwatch system to justify the price. Installation went very well, as did both the training sessions. Seeing as how we have a big lab, Curt even came back and brought a four-prong collar which is usually more successful with big dogs. The only issue I have is that the battery wore out after less than a month (with hardly any corrections on our dog) and Curt said he would get us a new battery, but we never got it. I left a message with someone else,so maybe he didn't get it. It was only nine dollars to replace at the store though, and I think this was a case of just a battery going bad. Something like this wouldn't prevent me from hiring or recommending him/them again.

Absolutely GREAT. Curt Little came out for the sales presentation and was extremely helpful and honest. The installer came on August 27th and did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the system and training. Curt came back on September 4th for a follow up, and stated that he would always be available for questions, issues, and training.

It went great. I did get estimates from all three large companies, and utilized the Angie's List reports. Be careful that you do lots of research. I felt that Curt was really honest with me, and when it comes to the frequencies that these fences work on, he really has the best system going. My dog learned quickly to be afraid of the buzz and responded quickly to the shock. The install went really great, although the service guy got stung by a bee in my yard and had a bad reaction. I think that they provide the best value over the other fencing companies (especially when it comes to batteries and the collars).

We couldn't be happier with this company. The product works beautifully, training was a cinch, and we all have a new freedom to enjoy the yard.

Curt was great to work with. He helped us figure out the best place to put the fence for our property. The fence was installed during the winter and was placed above ground until spring when the line could be buried. After the fence was installed for 1 week, Curt returned to see how the training was going. Our dog is 9 years old and had gone through the fence a few times. He loaned us a remote trainer that works up to a half mile away. So, when our dog went through the fence, we were able to follow him off the property and "train" him to come back. This was the last time he went through the fence. The remote trainer made the training quicker and we appreciated that Curt loaned us the unit to use temporarily until we got our dog trained. To me, that is service beyond what would be expected.

This is the second fence I have had installed by DogWatch. It is a pleasure doing business with this company. They arrived when they said they would. The installer, Patrick, couldn't have been nicer. He listened to what I wanted and went out of his way to may sure every thing was installed properly (he had some rugged landscape through which to install), and that I was happy with the installation. Patrick is a credit to the DogWatch company and I hope they appreciate him. My dogs are already trained, so that wasn't a factor this time. Compared to other companies, the DogWatch product is reasonably priced and we have never had a failure. I would recommend them highly.

Curt came out and explained the system. Looked over where we wanted the hidden fence installed and made recommendations where we were uncertain. Came to install exactly when they said they would despite the nastiest weather conditions of the season to date. Came back to follow-up and invited us to call with any questions/concerns at any point in time. We have been very pleased with the process and the product.

Excellent. Although I had initially indicated a smaller perimeter for the fence, the representative encouraged using the entire perimeter noting there was no extra cost to expand the scope of the fencing. They were very courteous, professional, and did neat work. They were helpful in the initial and follow-up training and addressing any training problem. I would recommend them highly.

The installers were on time, polite and suggested some adjustments in placement of the fence to keep the dogs out of the flower beds (no additional cost). Very reasonably priced.
