A-1 GARAGE DOORS INC

My garage door would not open. Called A-1 and made an appointment for the next day. Serviceman called before coming, and arrived as expected. Found the problem, a broken spring. Explained my options(could replace only the broken one or could replace both springs). I chose to replace both. Steve answered all my questions about the door, opener, etc. Have used this company before, and would use again.

Steve was very knowledgeable, prompt, polite, and professional. The people at the office were also very good. I would recommend them to others.

I have used them 2 or 3 times and they are responsive and always do a good job.

We have used them a couple of times and they are punctual and trustworthy.

They did what I needed to do and they fixed the problem.

I wasn't there when they arrived and they waited for me. They invoiced me and then I misplaced it, and they replaced it with no problem. I feel that they are very customer focused.

They very courteous, very prompt arrival, and fixed it within an hour. The budget was very reasonable. It was very cost effective. They honored an Angie's List coupon. I was very happy with the results and have had no problems. They really made my day because my car was stuck in the garage. They knew exactly what was wrong and knew exactly what to do.

We visited the office and were greated by 2 very friendly office cats. The ladies in the office helped us choose on opener and arranged to have the new opener installed a few days later. The installer arrived on time and the work was well done. He took the time to show my 84 year old aunt how to use the new remote, which was a bit different from the old one. She was very pleased with the service and new garage door opener.

Steve, with A-1 Garage, reported right on time, introduced himself and went right to work examining why my garage door wasn't working. Steve quickly determined that I didn't need a new garage door opener but that he could easily repair the one I had instead. Thirty minutes later my garage door was operating perfectly. It's been a long, long time since I had this kind of service from any company... HOW REFRESHING TO KNOW CUSTOMER IS ALIVE. Kindest regards! GH

Our neighbor was checking our house when we were out of town for several weeks and he called to tell us our garage door wouldn't close properly/completely. I called A-1 from the "UP of Michigan area" to schedule the repair (yes, we were a bit uneasy that our garage door wasn't completely shut and we were many hours away!) Ann listened so well and everything got repaired fast. Ann, Carol, and Steve....you are the best! Thanks for really caring about your customers and giving us the personal attention you did.

This was one of the most amazing service contractors we have ever had to our house. When I called initially and explained the problem, the lady who answered said that she thought it was a sensor problem, and we could try to fix it with her instruction over the phone (it sounded to her like the lights were not lined up correctly...) We tried that but it didn't work. After a few more questions, she determined that it was a sensor problem but someone would have to check it out. The owner came to our house the next day, spent 1 1/2 hrs. evaluating sensor wires, the circuit board, then installed an additional sensor wire to replace a faulty wire, replaced a broken track wheel, oiled everything--it works perfectly. I expected at least a $140 bill, but paid $80 (after my Angie's List coupon). I'm still amazed and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Congratulations to A-1 for wonderful service!!

Steve arrived 10 minutes early! Our dog had chewed the wiring leading to the eye sensor. Steve noticed that we had some PVC piping and offered to run the wiring through PVC to protect it from the dog. What a great idea! He then installed a wireless keypad and asked me if my homelink system in my car was programmed to open the garage. He took a couple of minutes and programmed that and showed me how to do it so I could program our other door. Nothing but fantastic service!!

The repair man showed up on time, was very professional, and went straight to work. He got the garage door open, replaced the springs, and then did the tightening and general repairs.

They were much cheaper than other companies. Everything they did was fine.

The process went very well. We called and they recommended we oil the track first to see if that fixes the problem. It did not, but their effort was appreciated. When the spring broke, they came out the next day. They advised us to replace both springs as both typically break near each other. We consented. They were very professional, courteous, and pleasant.

C.W. was very helpful when I called. She was great and knows her business well. Steve came exactly on time (even though he called ahead and said he may be running a bit late). He was great and definitely knows his garage doors. After he replaced the springs, he checked over and serviced the door and pointed out several things we needed to know for maintenance. We certainly appreciate their excellent service. Our garage door is now in A-1 shape, thanks to A-1 of Bargersville.

Serviceman arrived on time and began work immediately. He was courteous and professional. He was helpful in explaining the features of the new opener.

Technician called before arriving early. Was more than willing to help fix opener, as well as tighten bolts on door. Also, lubed door to quiet it. Explained how to re-code the key-less entry system.

They were great all the way through. They were on time, and actually called to see if they could come earlier. The price was actually lower than what they quoted me!

The gentleman was prompt, professional and polite and even helped me go through my garbage looking for a coupon that would take $10 off the job!! I have used them before and would definitely use them again.

Excellent experience. They were prompt in getting the doors I wanted and called to schedule the work with me. They were exactly on time and completed the installations successfully. After the installations were done they took the time to show me the warranty and instruction information. They removed the old doors and cleaned up all the old door and installation materials and removed them. They were extremely professional and were done within about three hours. I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone.

This is the first time I ever had an overhead door and was quite pleased.Carol has great communication skills, responding promptly to all emails and phone calls. My husband was impressed with the installer and the clean up. If they did more than garage doors I would have them back for other jobs.

IT WAS NICE TO DEAL WITH A FAMILY COMPANY. THE OWNER WAS MY INSTALLER. I TALKED WITH HIS WIFE REGARDING SCHEDULING, AND HIS DAUGHTER WAS VERY HELPFUL IN SALES AND GUIDING ME THROUGH THE SELECTION PROCESS. I MADE THE TRIP DOWN TO BARGERSVILLE JUST TO SEE THE PRODUCT AND WAS WELL TREATED BY ALL THE STAFF. I COULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR FUTURE GARAGE DOOR INSTALLATIONS AND SERVICE.
