Description of Work: I was to use the services of American Mold for an inspection today based on what my home inspector found. I purchased a coupon through Angie's list for this in order to try to save some money. The home ended up having some additional issues that came up late this morning and after talking with the seller, we've agreed to part ways on the deal. Because I'm not buying the house now, I'm not going to need to spend additional money on the mold test. In my conversations with both American Mold and Angie's list, all parties have been understanding, professional and respectful of the fact that I had to cancel and would like a refund due to the circumstances and I appreciate that.

Description of Work: Extremely high quote (more than twice the average of the other contractors I consulted.) Offered services that I didn't need and made them sound essential. Very polished image but it seemed just to lure customers into spending more than needed. |Did not hire them.

Would like better communication between them when things are delayed. Simple we have received your request it will be delay responding for this reason would be nice.

Description of Work: If you are like us you know very little about mold. We had a rather difficult job. Lot of mold suddenly appeared in our basement. We checked with two removal companies the prices were about the same, and we chose American Mold, basic reason was the sales person, Daryl. I told Daryl when we hired him I trust you guys will do a good job. We are very happy we made that choice. The job was difficult because of all the stuff we had in the basement and some of the difficult spots the mold was growing. To be honest the first time the crew did the job there were many areas that were not done correctly, and when Daryl came out to inspect and test he made it clear he was not satisified with the job and scheduled another cleaning. The second cleaning went well, Daryl came out and tested the air again and found there was still a higher than normal level of mold. He brought out his service manager and they inspected the basement again and found a couple of difficult areas that needed to be cleaned again. So they came out for a third time and cleaned a couple of areas, after testing again the mold was gone. Bottom line is Daryl stood behind his word and made the job right, I respect a company that doesn't just take your money and say the job is done, having very little knowledge of mold a lesser company could have easily done just that.
