We had moisture issues in the basement of our new home and the inspector came and was very thorough and explained everything he saw. We moved forward with the remediation after repairs were made and afterwards it was like a NEW basement. The crew was detailed and their work was done flawlessly. I would recommend American Mold Experts to anyone needing help or direction! They are knowledgeable and care about their customers!

We have had the American Mold Experts Warranty program for several years. The house crawlspace was treated for mold a few years ago and is inspected again each year. We receive a thorough report with photos. The inspector calls before the visit to let us know his time of arrival. He has the previous years report for reference. The inspector is professional, thorough and very personable, answering any questions. An excellent service

We had just purchased the house and we did not realize it had mold until we moved in. It was just cement block. I would use them again.

They appear to have found and remediated the problems and hopefully located the sources of future problems. We must wait to see over time if they have prevented a recurrence, but it appears the current issue was addressed. They pointed out where we should bring in other contractors to reduce sources of moisture through structural problems in the house. They applied a large amount of remedial substances and I think they did not miss any evident mold.

The people that you deal with for the inspection and for the work are just marvelous. The office staff is a little slow in responding in giving renewal information. We just had the paper work back from them which says it has been renewed. Some parts of it are just really good. Dealing with the service techs, they are very polite. They will explain any issues.

The estimator arrived and looked at my issue and provided the appropriate feed back. He also talked about other issues but none that involved my home. The estimate was free.

Great. Explained what they would do, etc and when we would get results

From the start, I found the staff of American Mold Remediators professional, knowledgeable and perhaps just as important, reassuring. When Cody, the lab technician, came to do the initial testing as I walked him through the house he first told me to stop throwing things out. With the enzyme remediation process most everything could be saved. He took scrapings as well as an extensive air tests of both floors. Just as promised, within 36 hours, Andy, one of the senior customer service staff members called to set up an appointment for the next day to review the test results. He spent at least two hours altogether going over the test results, doing a walk-thru with me, answering all my many questions, and, last, giving me his recommendations and an estimate. He was thorough and very well informed and I think infinitely patient with me. Given the seriousness of the water problems in the basement he felt I should talk to a waterproofing company. I did that the following week and reeled when they said the solution was to install an inside perimeter drain and sump pump that would require digging an 18-inch trench around the perimeter of the basement, that in turn would necessitate tearing out closets and built in cabinets. As I struggled with this painful and difficult decision, Andy came back out and I took him through what the waterproofing company wanted to do. He agreed to talk with his boss, one of the co-owners of AME. The next afternoon, Andy and his boss Bill both came out and after an extensive examination of the interior and exterior of the house, Bill felt there were some relatively simple things we could do to resolve the water issues for the oncoming winter and then perhaps explore an exterior drainage system on two sides of the house in the spring. Those simple things included downspout extenders, plastic bubbles over the basement windows, installing FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) in the built-in shower and tearing out the lower paneling in the room with the drainage issue and consistent monitoring of the basement humidity. His background in construction as well as remediation was very helpful. I appreciated his expertise and his commitment to helping me avoid tearing out the basement where I have my office/studio and guest room. We agreed to begin remediation as soon as possible. The remediation crew, headed by John, arrived later that week. On Thursday they remediated the downstairs and the HVAC system. On Friday they remediated the upstairs and my car. The remedaition process involved six team members who first set up foggers in the basement which continuously sprayed the enzyme into the air while team members wiped down every single object in in my basement, including walls, ceilings, floors, furniture (front, back, top and bottom) lamps, chairs, books, photos, papers, electronic equipment--the whole works. They cleaned the HVAC system. The next day they repeated the entire process on the first floor and in my car. I very much appreciated their hard work and their speed in accomplishing what seemed to me an impossible job in such a short amount of time. The only negative as John and I did a walk through the first day was that some things were not put back in their proper place. This was corrected the next day and was less of a problem the second day of remediation. John, too, was very professional, easy to work with and very willing to accommodate my requests. Three days later, Cory returned to retest the air quality. The next day, they called to say that while the tests showed very significant reductions in mold spores upstairs and in the basement, the counts were not down to the desired level of 500 spores per cubic meter of air. They scheduled a time to come back that week and redid both floors in one day (no additional charge). Another upside to their enzyme remediation is the scent of cloves that is part of their proprietary formula--not a residual chemical smell as is the case with most fungicides. The following week the subcontractor came and installed the FRP in the shower to prevent future leaks and an exhaust fan. It''s now five months later and there has not been any reocurrance of the mold, I'm thrilled to say. Should there be, AME's warranty is in effect until Dec. 2015. I highly recommend talking with American Mold Experts before choosing another type of remediation. Many thanks to AME and their great staff!

They were fine. They inspected the house and they charged me more than the big deal purchase price because they took the mold out. I would recommend them since they were timely and efficient.

Quote was very high for such a small amount of mold, so I remediated it myself using products from Home Depot.

Their prices was significantly higher than other remediation quotes we received. They definately are more thorough and have provided us with detailed reports, as well as advice on how to proceed. Unfortunately, the seller of the house is choosing which company to use for the remediation.

After several attempts the still have not responded.

We did not go ahead and have the treatment done.

I ended up not needing the deal. Cody came out and I informed him that I didn't need the inspection because I already knew the mold was there. He was extremely polite and professional.

It worked out well. The big deal cost covered it. They definitely gave us what we paid for. They were here really quick and they were here right on time. They're definitely professional. They explained everything.

I had the inspection done for a sale that I was the Realtor on. I expected a comprehensive report that explained what I was looking at and what I was reading in the report. What we received was a lot of photos and data. There was no narrative explaining the data. They wanted to meet in person to go over it. I needed in writing (which I explained) to give to the listing agent so that they could make a determination on what they were going to do or not do. In the end I felt like I could have taken the photos and sent the samples to the lab and saved a lot of money. My recommendation to the company would be to have the inspector write the report not the sales person, especially in real estate sales situations.

I had a mold issue in my bedroom and I thought that he would only spend a few minutes looking at the area I had the concern with....boy was I wrong. The inspector spent almost 3 hours going over the entire house, to include a very thorough inspection of the attic where I knew water was coming in. He took various air and mold samples and provided me with a very detailed report a few days later after the tests had come back

The gentlemen that explained the test results and the cost to have the remediation performed was very professional, however, I did feel the cost for the remediation services were extremely high.

All was great. AME called and established a time do the work. They were extremely prompt and professional.

Concerning the Big Deal, everything went smoothly. They contacted us immediately after purchasing the deal and were able to come out the next day. The technician responded promptly and had the results to us within a few days. They found out that mold had spread through our entire home after our basement was wet. The technicians blew through the job quickly and they didn’t clean everything we were told would be cleaned. When we contacted management, they were extremely responsive. Their management came out and determined that he job was not done properly. They sent their crew back out that next day and they completed the job over again with much more deal. They tested everything after the cleaning was completed and confirmed that the mold was eliminated.

I used them in February and also yesterday. They charged two hundred and seventy three dollars. They showed up on time. They were professional in how they did it. The report was thorough. The first house that they did for me, they identified substantial mold issues. The second house- we are waiting for the report. They are easy to work with and they were very responsive as far as when we needed it done. I give them an 'A' across the board and I would use them in the future.

The cost of this remediation was shocking to both the seller and to us, but we all wanted it done properly. The seller was highly impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness of the company. The company provided a renewable and transferable one-year warranty of their work. We are looking forward to continuing the relationship with them and assured by the quality of their work.

It turned out fine. The sales person was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable. My interaction with the provider was good. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They came out the next week after the deal was purchased.

We called American Mold after discovering what appeared to be mold growing under some cabinets. They sent out their lab to do a test. When the results came in, the sales rep from American Mold came out and to go over our results. Their method of remediating the mold was a little concerning to me and after doing some research and speaking with a microbiologist at a local independent lab, we decided not to go with American Mold. Their method of remediating is to fog the entire house with a safe, non-toxic chemical, to kill the mold. We have a baby and I was just way too concerned with the fogging chemicals even though they are supposed to be safe. Also, the microbiolgoist said that he was very leery of their process. He told us that even though they may kill the mold, the mold spores are still there and able to release toxins into the air. As seems to be the norm in th remediation process, I don't know who to believe, so I went with my gut and didn't do the fogging. Therefore, I would not use them again. I did like the premise of their method and the fact that it got in every time little crevice and space to kill the mold. You didn't have to destroy or remove any of your property since the fogging kills everything. The process may appeal to alot of other people, but it just wasn't for us.
