They were very professional and they did a very good job, they were on time and prompt. I would recommend them and I would use them again. They were very friendly.

Justin was the salesman from the company. We had several companies come out to show them our problem and after looking at all the estimates, Justin addressed our problem the closest. Since it was in the Spring we did have to wait for six weeks which was fine because within two days the job was done.

The project manager called to ask if he could come 1 hour early. He stopped by, made an evaluation and left a voice message about his solution. He recommended an interior perimeter drain system. He quoted 5K. He asked me to call him back. The next day(June 29th), the owner (Mr. Roberts) left a nasty little message on my phone as follows: He said that he sent a rep out to meet me at 5:30...then corrected to 4:30 at the property and that he did not hear from me and that I did not show for the appt and that he didn't know what was going on. He said he noticed I was an Angie's List member and I should log on and report MYSELF... As if I was to blame and didn't show. I left VM's with the estimator and 2 messages with the receptionist for them to call me back on Friday and Monday. No one has called me back yet. He didn't seem to know what was going on with his business...who was where, who did what...If this is how he treats a potential customer I would hate to try to work with them if I had a problem with the basement after waterproofing. I welcome Mr. Roberts' call to apologize and negotiate a price.

It went fine when it happened, it was back in May of 2006 and we thought everything was fixed. We recently had a lot of rain and we got a leak again in the same place so we called them and they were very response and came back today and basically we aren't sure if they didn't do it right the first time, or if something else happened. They came back to fix so we'll have to see how they resolve it. When they did it the first time I really had to supervise.

He called in prior to arriving and asked me some clarifying questions regarding the flooded basement. He brought to my attention that since the basement had never flooded in the past, that it would probably not be necessary to have the full waterproofing system done. I was relieved as this project was an expense that would be very hard to afford at this time. He advised me to keep an eye out for any future water intrusion. He was a very nice person and I appreciated his honesty. I will definitely be using this company for any basement needs that I may have in the future.

Their technique was a little different. They were very informative, but I am still deciding on who I would like for the job. They followed up well with me and they were attentive to my needs.

this is THE MOST HONEST, EXCELLENT people we have ever done business with. Wayne came out, showed me where the leak was coming from, explained what they would do to seal off the area and fix the outside grading by the house. The crew came the next morning, fixed the area, and except for some wet cement on the wall you'd never know they had been there. We have had other areas that have needed work in the past and the same crew came every time - it's so nice to know who is coming in your house. You can not do better than this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed some water in our finished basement on a Sunday. I called A-1 on Monday to schedule an appointment to have them look at it; they scheduled someone to come out on Wednesday that same week. On Tuesday (the next day), a woman called me and said they were overbooked and she could not schedule me until Tuesday of the next week. My carpet was wet and I had no idea where the leak was coming from... consequently I was essentially paralyzed until they would get around to coming out. I couldn't wait a week and a half so I found another company who could help me out.

Bill Verhonik; arrived as scheduled, was friendly but professional, did the leg work and gave us an estimate. Plus, he answered questions about about more work that might be needed in the future.

Justin was very professional and friendly. He looked at the basement and at the outside corner of the house. He explained some things about basements and water that we did not know. He didn't try to sell us on a huge job when he thought that a smaller scale solution was appropriate for us.

Excellent! Sales inspector Gene Dick was on time for appointment and was very through in explaining what was need to dry crawl space and repair some damaged wood. The work crew arrived on time when scheduled. It took two weeks to do all that was needed, but they worked around the holidays without any interruption to our planned activities. Chris, the on site supervisor, was very professional and kept us informed of what they were doing each day and when the next phase would start. Bill Verhonik, production manager, visited the site several times and also was very professional and answered any questions that we had.

The work was completed in 2 days total and was done to my complete satisfaction. Setting a time up for them to come do the work was very easy, and the time frame for them to come was within 2 weeks or less. This was a completely professional job, the workmen were very courteous, and the house remained clean despite the dirty nature of the work being performed.

They showed up when they were supposed to.They worked until the job was complete. This was a very labor intensive job, and I appreciated their hard work.

They were very professional and answered all of our questions at the time of scheduling and leading up to the project. They worked with up to schedule things in a timely manner once we decided to go with them. The job was completed in 3 days, an entire day sooner than expected. They hung plastic to divide the basement from the living areas and covered our belongings in the basement while they were working. They did charge more than some estimates that we got from other companies, but A1 was the most professional and most knowledgeable in answering our questions and addressing our concerns. My husband is an engineer, so he had very specific questions and wanted to be sure that they were all taken care of. A1 did a great job! Worth paying slightly more than the lowest estimate.

It will be very difficult to explain just how wonderful these men were and what a fantastic job they did. The estimate appointment provided us with all the information we would need to make an informed choice. Every phone call was answered right away, and every appointment was kept. They arrived on time just as arranged. They were polite and very friendly. They never wasted a moment during the two day job.

A few days after they finished the work we had three inches or more of rain and my basement stayed dry. I would use them again for the same service. Gene Dick was very helpful, patient and friendly. They ran into a few problems doing the waterproofing, but they dealt with all the problems that came up. They cleaned up after they were finished with the project.

It was a bit of a hard sell. The price was the highest of the three estimates. We chose a company that could do the repairs from outside the house. This prevented us from having to replace a nice tile floor and paneling on the wall. (We could not match the floor tiles since they had been discontinued).

I was transferred to a Mr. Wayne Roberts. He scheduled a date (October 19) and time (5 PM) for an inspection and estimate of the work to be done in my crawl space. On the appointed date, Mr. Roberts did not appear, nor did he phone. That evening, I left a voice message on his phone. I received a return call from Mr. Roberts the next day and he apologized for forgetting the appointment. He then rescheduled with us, making a new appointment for Monday, October 22 at noon. Mr. Roberts again did not show or call to explain his reason for not showing up. I give up.

They were very very good. It works wonderfully. No complaints.

Wayne Roberts came out and inspected our basement, offering his solution to several different problems. He did try the "hard sell" - offering a discounted price only if I signed a contract while he was here. After considering the estimate for a few days I agreed to get the bowed wall fixed. Had trouble getting a firm date for the work to be done, but finally two technicians showed up and completed the job professionally. The employees were courteous and knowledgeable. I can't really judge how effective the solution is, since the damage to the wall was gradual and the "fix" is intended to arrest any further bowing. The technicians worked for a little under 3 hours (6 man hours total) and the cost of materials had to be no more than $500, so the price seemed a bit high. But having been burned by fly-by-night companies before, I accepted the higher cost in exchange for using an established, experienced local company for the job.

The estimate was done on time and the work was done on time within the estimate. Replaced crawlspace entrance door.

The salesman, Gene Dick was very helpful. He knows the business inside & out, and explained waterproofing method thorough tremendous rainstorms our basement is completely dry, a first after enduring 50 years of damp and wet floors. The installer crew was hard working, competent and above all, professional, and polite. This was an "A+" experience.

The service was fine, the price was just a little high.

They did a good job and the basement hasn't leaked again. They weren't the cheapest but they had the better warranty.

They arrived on time, did the work in 2 days and before they had reinstalled my washer, dryer, and sink, they wanted their money in full.
