Description of Work: Many years ago, my neighbor recommended Wilmot Appliances for a refrigerator repair. The owner, Mr. Wilmot kept that old refrigerator running long past the time it should have been retired. Finally, he said that while he could repair it again, it was time for it go . A few years later Mr. Wilmot retired and turned the business over to his son. Monday evening while doing a small load of laundry, the tub on my high efficiency washer filled up and would only drain out onto the utility room floor, thus creating quite a flood. I called repair, who said I had to call the company who handled the warranty we paid extra for. No one at the service center answered the phone. Note that we paid $130 for the 5 year service program for whom we could not reach anyone to schedule service. Finally, after much frustration, I said to heck with this (not really what I said but it probably would offend some folks if I typed what I really said), and I called the young Mr. Wilmot. Sure enough, at the promised appointment time, the young Mr. Wilmot appeared and fixed our washer for the bargain basement price of $75.00. The message in all of the above is two fold: A) Never buy the extended warranty; and B) when needing an appliance repair, call Mr. Wilmot. Truly, you won't be sorry.
