They seem to be doing well. They are a little pricey but good. I pay them an annual fee, and we use them four times a year. They are also professional.

So far, they are okay. My lawn is in such a poor condition now; I guess it's going to take a couple of years to get it really right. So far, they are doing a good job. They just started; they have a long way to go. I guess time will tell. I do like the way they give feedback after they perform the services. They do a complete evaluation and put it in writing. I never got that kind of feedback from the other company I used. They charge by the visit. They have different plans. If I pay the whole thing upfront; they will give me a discount. They are a little pricey, but it’s worth it if it works.

Scott's pricing was competitive & yielded good results. Really there's not much else to say - no issues, when I've needed to contact them I could usually get someone n the phone right away. Overall the experience has been positive

They are on time, prompt, and get the job done. It is easy to pay, you can pay online.

Lawn was kept green and weed-free most of season. Called once to have them come back and treat for weeds again in small area. They were pretty neat in not overspraying or leaving granular material all over the sidewalk and driveway. I have a problem in my yard where grass isn't growing; the technicians don't seem to have any knowledge to help with specific problems. Even a manager was supposed to come out and advise. They showed no skill in being able to determine the cause. One guy came out and left a detailed report about overwatering the area, when in fact the area doesn't get enough water - so he presumed he knew what he was talking bout - irritating. They seem to use college-age men to come out , do the treatment, and leave, usually in about 15 minutes. They give the standard watering advice. If all you want is to have chemicals sprayed on your lawn, they'll do fine for you. I do not like not knowing when they are coming out, because more than once it interfered with my mowing plans. Also, they're good about upselling. Don't give them your cell phone for contact if you don't want to be bothered there. They will call regularly to get you to buy another service like special grub control and aeration, and won't stop after you say no" - they'll call again. Pressure sales.

We've been trying to get rid of the crabgrass for six months. Nobody authorized them to come out here and do it, but they did do it. They tried to charge us $50.00 for it, but we never authorized anybody to do it, so we didn't pay anything. I don't know what they put in our front and back yard, but it did create crabgrass and now it's an issue because we're trying to get it fixed. We never authorized them to do anything, but they came out and caused crabgrass. The lawn people shouldn't come out and make situations wrong, when the grass was fine, before they came out. They didn't knock on the door and we didn't sign any paperwork or anything.

I am very pleased with their service. They do a great job taking care of our lawn and reviving it. We've been using their service routinely.

I'll probably have them again next year, because they just did fabulous things with the lawn. I thought the price was very reasonable and they were so good about coming out a second time, like two or three months, they did that, to get rid of this vine.

On time. Services as promised. Responsive.

The Scott's techs consistently missed a big section of our lawn disputed repeated complaints. When I asked to stop the service and stop calling I continued to get bugged by Scott's reps to spend more on this service. I had good luck with Scott's in other cities but not here. It is impossible to get rid of them once you decide to change providers.

We pay per visit. As long as we are using them, we are satisfied.

Poor communication, asked for evaluation and recomendation 4 times before receiving one. Once evaluation was given asked to have recomendations performed 2 months later still not done.Scott's needs to pull their franchise and find someone who wants it more.

It went very well they have responded to extra visits quickly when I have called them.

I have gone back and forth with them. They no longer call and know that I will no longer have their service. My neighbor said they pulled up to my house and backed out. They said they did the service and they did not. They tried to come out and make things better and the person who was supposed to come out did not call or show up.

The first treatment was great and it did a great job. My grass was seeding and the weeds were dying quickly.... In the front yard. Then the tech came out for a 2nd treatment.. We spoke briefly, as I walked into the house to use the bathroom the tech went to the back of the house and when I came out of the bathroom he was in his truck ready to leave, which was less than 2 minutes later. I confronted him and he stated he can put the application on fast - I said 1/2 acre in less than 2 minutes? He said yeah and left. When I called the the customer support office they argued with me and said the tech did apply treatment to the entire yard and I can even touch the ground and feel that it was still wet. I let the CS rep on the phone know that I already did touch the ground while he was in his truck and it was not wet, so lets hear your next excuse. I asked them to just cancel my contract, which they said a manager would need to talk to me first. This was on a Friday I didn't receive a call from the manager until the following Thursday, in which he insisted the tech applied the treatment and I confronted the manager and said in less than 2 minutes 1/2 acre. He replied, well you have a house and landscape, so technically you don't have a 1/2 acre. I said lets not get technical here - he spent 30 minutes on the 1st treatment and less than 2 on the next. I watched the guy go in my backyard, I went to the bathroom, came out and he was already in his truck. So the manager refused to refund my money, so I had called AMEX and they credited my account and duked it out with them and I ended up getting my money back. To top it off my neighbor had them come out as well - same tech went to his house - I watched the tech put his little sign in the lawn and leave - didn't even apply a thing!

Scott's has fine products, it will be up to customer to determine value of combined services and products used.

I contacted 3 lawn service companies in the same day for quotes. The other 2 called back within hours, Scott's called back a week later. And then they never stopped calling. After several voicemail message from them, I finally happened to be home when they called. I explained that we had chosen a different company and this is when the crappy sales tactics began. The first guy asked who I had chosen instead. I told them the name of the company and his reply was "who?? never heard of them?" I responded that it was a local Naperville company and I was happy with their service. He proceeded to go on about how superior Scott's was and that they actually "treat" the lawn and it's problems, not just "green it up". Keep in mind, he had "never heard of" the company we chose yet he was accusing them of doing less than what Scott's does. I again said that we were happy with our choice and his reply was "Well keep our info and call us back if you need us, I'm sure you will". RUDE! The next day I got ANOTHER call from Scott's, this time it was a woman. I (again) explained that we had chosen a company and were happy with our decision. She went on to give me the same corporate line about how Scott's has "special" fertilizer and blah, blah, blah. She again told me to keep their info just in case but at least she was polite. The next day I got ANOTHER call from Scott's. Again I explained we had chosen a company and were happy. This guy proceeded to ask me what I thought my major issues with my lawn were. I explained we had some weeds, some think spots, some crabgrass. And he replied "well then I guess that other company's not doing so well for you". Um...at this point we'd only had ONE treatment done by the other company and I had told them that. I don't expect a complete turnaround in my lawn after one treatment. After that call the calls have finally stopped, although we get a flyer from them in the mail at least once a week. I am just so amazed and disgusted with the dirty sales tactics of Scott's that I will NEVER use them now and will NEVER recommend them to anyone.

I thought they were prompt and professional.

They do fertilizing. They treat our lawn for weeds. We have a contract with them. They are reasonably priced. They are very informative about what they are going to do each time.

I have used this company for 2 years and they do an excellent job. I keep telling them to call me before they come and they don't.

I have had an association with Scott's Lawn Service Company for over five years. My experience with them has been fine so far. However things have been deteriorating with them. So, I decided not to renew them this year. We had some lawn damage as the application did not appear to be affective. I decided not to renew them mainly because of their poor customer service, poor quality and high cost. I would not use them in the future. However, four out of the five years they have worked for us have been good.

I was initially contacted by a local representative from Scott's lawn service in May in a visit to homes in my neighborhood. He suggested using their service to improve the condition of my lawn. I agreed to try their service but only signed up for 4 treatments for fertilization and weed control only. I declined the insecticide and lawn aeration treatments to stay within my budget. They performed the first two treatments as scheduled and the results were very satisfactory. The lawn respnded well to the treatments which were aided by the ample rainfalls we experienced this early summer. They followed up with me recently to encourage me to use their insecticide treatment to prevent any damage from possible grubworms and japanese beatles that are common this time of year. The cost of this treatment would be $100 which I declined at this price. I normally take care of my lawn myself and only agreed to the 4 treatments this year because I was going to be away several times this summer and didn't want my lawn to be neglected. Being home at this time I treated the lawn myself by purchasing and applying the same "Scott's Grubex Max" product at a price of $21. Their price may be competive with other lawn services and overall I am well pleased with their service and professionalism. I would recommend their services to anyone that doesn't have the time or the ability to properly treat their own lawn. However, I am a long time home owner that through trial and error and instruction has learned how to properly care for a lawn and I guess I am unusual in that I really enjoy doing it myself. The most important tip I ever learned in caring for a lawn is to never cut your grass too short, especially in the hottest summer months. Cutting your grass at a height of approximately 3 inches provides shade for the root system which is vital to it's health and appearance with minimal watering required.

The yard is growing quickly and the weeds are almost all gone. They are very responsive. One problem previously and they responded very quickly and sprayed for free. The lawn is looking fantastic

I think they were expensive. Their work was fine. They did what they were supposed to do. I would use their service in the future.
