great, been using them for over 7 years now. before using them my dad would tell me never kill the weeds on my lawn or I would have a dirt lot.. since having them do there treatment plan I have a beautiful green lawn. and if I see a weed they come back out the next day to retreat lawn. fantastic service

I prepaid for my lawn to fertilize. I just started with the mosquito spraying and I am happy with that. I am not happy with the treatment of the lawn, and I'm not happy with that. I don't plan on continuing with that part. They show up on time. So far, everything is going well with the mosquito spraying but I am not happy at all with the treatment of the lawn. I think this will be it. I wasn't saving any money by bundling everything together.

We used them many years ago from a different office but this guy has been very reliable. I think they have gotten their act together. This was many years ago that we had them and it just did not work. They are far more professional than they were years ago. They put stuff on the lawn for weeds and fertilizer. They call you before hand and let you know when they are coming. We do not have to be home. They are just alerting you for people who have a pet to keep the animal off the lawn or something. The guy comes and leave a note or packet telling you what they did. We have a bunch of weeds but he keeps thinking it is grass. He said he should water more. I paid everything on the front end. They reseed at the end of the fall. They have kept the dandelions away. They guy has been very good. I have not compared. The people across the street uses them. We were not happy with the outfit that we last used. We had the finest cop of dandelions. So far my experience has been positive.

I could never get them to show up and start the planned service. Three times a date was made for service to be made at my house - they NEVER showed up. No call, no explanation. Calls made to the company only results in new dates being set up for service - again never showed up. By third missed service date - I have cancelled my signed contract with them. Such lack of respect for a new client is unbelievable. Best thing I did was not paid ahead of time.

It's a standard monthly, service by application fee. It's like 7 applications in a year. It's just a scheduled application service.

There have been multiple instances where the treatments left burned out brown patches in my lawn. You could tell because the damage was done in straight lines... The last straw was in September 2016 when the technician came, got out of the truck, placed signs in my yard about treatment, hung the bill on my door and then left without performing the services. I have canceled my account.

I used them but, I'm thinking of dropping them because they charged me for 4500 square feet of lawn for two years and I only have 2100 square feet. They have only given me a $3 credit for everything every month. I haven't paid them yet because, I'm waiting to see what to do. They were charging me for double the yard for two years. They did come out and measure it and said that they would give me a credit and I received $3 a month. I am probably going to be dumping them and doing it myself. They did improve the lawn, but I think that they are over priced for what they do. They are not available. The workers were fine.

It went well, however it would be nice to have some advance notice as to when each treatment is going to happen. The tech just shows up performs the service and leaves the bill with some minimal instructions. He also leaves a little warning sign that chemicals have been applied to the lawn. This alerts people to keep children and pets off the lawn for a certain period of time.

I purchased a mid-season "Love your lawn" maintenance package from Scotts on their website (which included only 3 of the 6 remaining applications for the season). They just came for the final time this season and I've been happy with their service. After every visit, they provide a lengthy analysis on what you're doing right (e.g., mower height) and what needs more work (e.g., the lawn isn't getting enough water). Also, they provide other service recommendations based on problems found on your lawn (e.g., excessive thatch build-up can be addressed with a lawn aeration). I haven't tried any of their other services yet, but I expect that I will next year.

They came out on schedule and applied the various lawn treatments. The lawn looked pretty much the same as it had since for the past eight years prior to using Scott's. After they applied a grub control measure, the front lawn became infested with crabgrass that died. The back yard had no problems with grubs, but this spring, a large part of the front lawn and most of the back lawn are basically mud. In short, the lawn has never looked worse this time of year. I shared this with Scott's and asked that they pitch in to restore the lawn to where it had been before they started working on it. A manager came out and made a ton of excuses and would not do a thing to help out. Maybe in some technical sense Scott's didn't have a legal obligation to work with me. But if I were running a company and had an unhappy customer whose long-term business I could save by giving a little, I would have made a different choice. In short: Our investment in Scott's service at BEST did not improve our lawn, and MORE LIKELY contributed to wrecking it, AND the customer service experience with the manager was appalling. I would never recommend this service to anyone who wanted to maintain their lawn.

Since we have signed up for the yearly service, as usual, Scotts comes out without notice and makes the application. So doesn't matter whether someone is home or not. However, this time when I came home after work, I saw the Scotts flag that they had been there and applied the fertilizer to the yard. BUT, I also saw the end of my recently repaved asphalt driveway had several large and fresh gouges in it. I assume that the Scotts equipment is what did this, but would have no way of proving it.

I felt the price I was charged was unfair, when I registered for the service they didn't inform me that they would be skipping a treatment as it was considered late registration for the season (4 applications). I was being charged the same amount as a friend of mine who was being provided the same service (5 applications this season). The customer service was not very helpful and not ready to listen. The representative mentioned that you can cancel the service if I didn't like the price no explanation was provided except that the lawn size would have been smaller, there was no discussion on the lawn size when I signed up and in any case both were same sized lots. As for the service, I asked them to provide me a heads up before they come so that I can see what they do, they agreed to this. No one called me but there was a notice in my door saying that the service was complete! I will have to wait to see the end result, I will update this review based on the next few treatments.

OK but I had to go out and tell the guy that he had missed some spots.

I called for a quote. Now they are hounding me. I have told them why I didn't choose them for my service and they still continue to call.

managerLawn looked horrible - rain or no rain - I watered My front lawn - still looked terrible. The service said it was due to me using a riding mower - which I have done the last 10 years here. I am done with all Scott's products and services from now on.

The first three years of service went quite well. I saw overall improvement in my lawn and was pleased with their work. However, in 2013, I began noticing a difference. My lawn showed no real improvement. They began giving me 3 treatments at one time, which I felt was too many. I complained and told them I had never had more than two treatments at one time, and that was the maximum I wanted. Well, not only did they again give me three treatments at one time, but on another occasion they billed me for a treatment which was supposedly given to my lawn when my lawn was blanketed with leaves, front and back. When I called about this, they said they would come and retreat. I told them no, I didn't want that done, that the lawn had to first be raked and the leaves removed. Well, in spite of the fact that the only treatment that I could have received at that time was to the leaves on my lawn, they billed me for this service. I told them I would not pay it and why. Well, not only did no one apologize for this, they continued to bill me and even sent the $49 bill to a collection agency. I wrote the collection agency that I refused to pay and explained why. Scott's called me one time and I explained why I was dissatisfied with their services and -- after four years as a customer who always paid my bill promptly and in full payment -- never received an apology or any effort on their part to keep me as a customer. I told them I no longer wanted their service. And I, too, have received telemarketing calls from them. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

They had left a brochure at my house, and since I wanted to get rid of weeks in my yard I gave them a call. They were responsive and come out for the first service within 3 days. Reasonable price. Too early to tell if the weeks will go away.

I would not rehire them. We have received a high amount of telemarketing calls from them trying to sell other services ever since we first hired them. There is no substantial improvement to our lawn since hiring them.

I love them. They are the best I’ve had. I don’t have any issues with them. I like everything about them especially they don’t burn my lawn. I just like their general service. It’s improved dramatically since I’ve switched to them. They were comparable with the other company I’ve used.

My lawn has never looked as poor as it does this year, although last year had problems. The tech that made the application was not able to provide any answer. He said it my lawn mower blade was not sharp. I had just put a new blade on a month or so ago. My feeling he had little to no experience in lawns. I called the service to have the lawn inspected. He wrote a report about some disease and suggested sharpening the blade. Seems like a standard "I don't know" answer. When the lawn is mowed the grass underneath has brown paths and blotches. This started shortly after it had a spring treatment; fertilizer. We water the lawn adequately. I have never received a call from the company or the local area shop that service my lawn. I have used them for several years and the last two have not provided good results. I spend over $1,000 a year with Scotts. At this point I will start to interview some of your other recommended companies. We will be changing lawn service companies. Jim

They never came out to provide me the quote. They just gave me the quote through the phone. They didn’t come out to check my house. They said they would just look at Google to check everything and what I need which is the reason why we didn’t use them.

Next day lawn started to show signs of stress and I called local branch to have someone come out and look. By end of the next day, no one had come out and lawn was severely burned (by their application) in front, back and both sides of lawn. Was told I was on service call list but no one could get out for 3 more days. Asked for call back from local manager...still waiting 2 days later. I have been a long-time Scott's customer, but I will be asking for my money back and canceling their service.
