When George came for the estimate, he made it very clear exactly what we could expect and what we needed to do to prepare for him and his crew to work. There were also no surprises at the end. He figured the replacement of the third bedroom floor into the contract and said he would need to replace a few boards in the living room and gave us the price per board up front. The other companies said we needed to remove everything including emptying all of the closets. George put plastic up sealing off the clothes. This was by far better than removing them. When we agreed to the estimate, George was behind about 3 weeks. This was perfect for us. It gave us time to prepare the house. When the day came, they were prompt and professional, and cleaned up after themselves. All they left behind was the dust which we were prepared for. Upon inspection we found two areas smaller than a dime that stood out. We called George and he came the very next day and took care of it. They turned out to be drips of varnish. We love the floors and would most definitely hire this company again!

We had to move everything out for a couple of days so they could redo the entire floor. There were a couple of areas that were a bit more difficult. They were able to restore the floor and match it very closely to the kitchen. I'm very pleased with the work and may have them back out to do our dining room.

The quality of the work was great and they finished quickly. Only two issues: 1) they estimated a start date of Monday and ended up starting 4 days early... Which wasn't a huge issue since I hadn't moved in yet & he had a key, but it forced me to change my schedule to accommodate. In fairness, he was fitting me in before a scheduled vacation - so I got over it very quickly. 2) they used my vacuum during clean-up, which ruined the filter (I had to buy a $30 replacement) and I spent a couple of hours cleaning it (wood dust was in every nook). Anyway, I highly recommend them. George & his crew were awesome & the work was high quality. No reservations.

Very professional.....however, he did not use a dustless sander. Next time I will specify I want a dustless sander. The floors look beautiful.

He did a really nice job refinishing the floors and he was very punctual and nice. The only problem I had was that the hardwood at my mothers house was just a small layer of hardwood over plywood which was unknown to me, my mother, or the re-finisher. The floors were refinished but because of the thin layer of actual wood, they are now so thin that they can never be refinished again. I wish the technician would have brought this to our attention before the work was done. Overall the floors look great, but now we are worried about the resale value.

This was a Big Deal, and no additional charges were incurred. The provider had a 3 man crew who moved all the furniture out of the kitchen, inspected the floor, and then did a light sanding/buffing. The dust was vacuumed, and they applied stain to a portion of the floor where the finish had come off (this was not included in the Big Deal but was provided without extra charge). A sealant was applied via squeegees. The provider described the process as maintenance, and indicated that if I wanted a new floor look, a complete sanding, staining, refinishing would be required. The sealant dried in approximately 4 hours. The floor is 21 years old, and has never had any professional restoration or maintence. The result was a significantly noticeable improvement in appearance, as well as making the floor water resistant (spilled water beads up now). The provider was professional, personable, and knowledable. I plan to use Superior for refinishing the floor in the fall.

In early May, there were several providers I called based on their A ratings. Superior flooring was offering a discount promotion on 400 sq ft for $499.00. I contacted Angie's List to understand the promotion process. After talking to them, I contacted George Sanchez to inquire about the promotion. He asked me about the work I needed to include carpet removal, sanding, and refnishing existing hardwood floors in the diring room, foyer, and small hallway. He asked me to provide him the room measurements and called me later with an estimate that was less than the promotion discount because I had less square footage and I needed carpet removal that was not part of the promotion and carpet strips in 4 door frames. The carpet striips George provided were 10 times better than the ones I found at a local store. Since George did not see the floors prior to the estimate, he did mention that if some floor boards required replacement, the price would change. Fortunately, the floors were in great shape. George was honest that he would not be able to start the work until early June. George called me two days before the scheduled time to confirm the appointment. He called me the day of the work to say he would be available a few hours early. When he arrived, I told him we were not able to move the DR table which his crew did with no problem. George explained the flooring process to me and asked me what color I wanted. His crew introduced themselves and immediately began removing the carpet and nails. I had to leave before he stained the floors because a family member was having breathing problems from the sanding fumes although there was no dust. I saw the floors for the first time the next morning and liked them. When George arrived, he buffed the floors and applied another coat and the floors looked even better. He told me how to maintain them. It has been 3 days and we really love them. The entire experience was very professional and seamless. George has a great personality as well as his crew.

George and his crew did a great job. We are happy with the finished product. They were on time and on budget. We needed to reschedule the work due to some interior damage from an ice dam and George was very accommodating.

George came punctually for the initial estimate. He was very professional , and answered all my questions with no hesitation. We agreed on price and date for service to be done. He came with his crew at the promised date and time. They spent a lot of time putting up dust barriers to minimize dust in the house. The work was done to a very high standard, with minimum of dust and mess, which was unavoidable. Came back the following date to put on final coat of gloss .George supervised the entire process. I would absolutely use him again, and have no hesitation in recommending his services.

We bid the job out to a few flooring companies, and George's bid came in least expensive. He also agreed not to charge anything extra for the numerous minor issues that are bound to come up when tearing up carpet and refinishing original wood, and he kept to his word on that when a number of these minor issues came up. George was very professional, friendly, has a good aesthetic sense, and clearly enjoys his work and strives for excellent craftsmanship. He and his crew were punctual, efficient, and completed the job exactly when they said they would. They also did a fantastic job matching the new wood to the 70-year-old wood. In fact, the couple we bought our house from dropped by out of curiosity to see the new floors, and they were so impressed that they are hiring George to do the flooring in their new house. I would certainly recommend Superior Hardwood to anyone else, and will use them again if I have any future flooring needs.

He did a fantastic job. When we had a problem, he came right out to correct it.

George and his crew were prompt and very professional. The took my old, scratched naturally stain wood floor and turned it into a brand new room. They sanded, stained, buffed and put on two coats of poly for a perfect finish. I can't tell where the scratches were before and they were deep. They also filled in gaps that were in the wood planks. George kept me informed along the whole process. My living room looks modern and brand new! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone.

Went well. Did a fine job. Floor now looks beautiful.

George called and we set up a time for him to do the work. I removed all the furniture. The room was at the rear of my house so there was easy entry. Although George was a little late the first day he told me that a job he was working on took a little extra time. I had to leave for work so I left the back door open for him and asked him to lock up when he was done. I came home after work and saw that George had sanded the floor and put the first coat of stain on. He uses a dustless sander so there was no trace of dust in the house. The stain had a minor odor that dissipated after a few hours. The floor looked great! He took time to sand the little nooks and crannies that showed that he wanted to do a good job. George had locked up upon leaving. He called that night and we made arrangements for him to put the final coat of stain the next day. I came home after work the second day and George had applied the second coat. The floor had a rich, satin finish that fit in with the new floor I'd had put in my kitchen. All in all Superior Hardwood did a great job. I will certainly have them return to refinish some of the other rooms in my house.

I had to reschedule my first appointment because of a personal issue and the provider was very understanding and accommodating. They arrived on time and the work was done quickly. They were polite and answered my questions explaining what they were going to do, what was needed and what it would cost. Overall I was very satisfied with the way the floors turned out.

George and his associate arrived on time. The began immediately, while explaining things that need to be completed. After they began they were quiet as possible and neat. I was able to work from home while they worked in the largest room in my home. George offered suggestions and alternatives for parts of the floor that was badly damaged. My family and I are so very pleased with the work Superior Hardwood Floors Inc provided. We have more rooms to complete and Superior Hardwood Floors Inc provided will be getting our business.

George and his crew were great. I bought the Big Deal initially, for 100 square feet of floor refinishing, knowing that I would be buying more services at the good rates offered. George was very responsive and prompt in setting up an initial visit, provided excellent advice and recommendations without doing any "up-selling," and answered all our follow-up questions and requests thoroughly and promptly. The crew showed up on time, did excellent work, and cleaned up well. We are extremely happy with the work and results, and I have already recommended this company to others.

Professional and delightful. The company is quite detail when providing their services. I am very satisified and have referred several friends to them. I am planning on relocating to another state and if I could take Mr. George Saenz and his crew with me I would. You can't go wrong with this company.

The finished floor was flawless. The work was done efficiently, quickly and on time. Both times George came (once to sand and stain; the second time to varnish) he was early! He always called before he arrived. He put up a large plastic sheet to contain the dust (as well as dust can be contained when sanding a floor). His men very carefully carried their heavy equipment in and out of my condo and the lobby. I am extremely happy with the workmen and the work. Thanks, George.

It went great! George showed up when he said he would, walked me through every aspect of the job and then got to work. There was very little dust. Some odor, but that is to be expected. The floor came out very nicely. In fact, it turned out better than the other areas that I had someone else do. I would wholeheartedly recommend Superior Hardwood for any floor maintenance or refinishing. Not only did the floor look fantastic, but I enjoyed George's positive and professional demeanor.

Wow. George and his guys did an incredible job. Could not be happier with the end product and the extra coat of poly that he put on the floors, and his depth of knowledge. This company is a. Great example of outstanding customer service and professionalism. I have recommended them to others.

I purchased a coupon for $99 for a 10 x 10 ft. floor refinishing. Called George, from Superior, and he returned my call immediately. He set up an appointment for two days later. He called ahead - much appreciated - and arrived on time. He brought dropcloths and runners to cover the areas they would be walking through to do the job. Did the room in no time at all, and put on one coat of finish. They returned the next day (a Sunday), and finished the job with a second coat. My floor is beautiful! I would certainly use their service again - in fact, am thinking about taking up the rest of my carpeting, (in living room and hall) as the wood floor is so beautiful. This was a great deal - but I would hire George at his standard price anytime - his work is great!
