Stringer Blacktop Sealcoating

Stringer had previously done the sealcoating for previous owner, so they were familiar with driveway. They asked if there were any large holes, I wasn't sure so they said they would come out and see if anything else was needed. A slight mixup occurred and no one ever showed, so when I called back they had someone out the next day, said that the original price was sufficient and rescheduled to accomodate my family being on vacation. The technician arrived and did a great job with the sealcoating, cleanup was great, no splashes.

Went great. We had some scheduling issues that were weather related or other reasons (my fault). But the owner Mark was patient with me. We finally got his crew out to do my drive way and all went well. I asked them to be careful and not get any sealer on the brick door entrance to my house. Very clean job. I also called Express Sealcoating but they were higher priced and the owner is a jerk. So I will use Stringer Sealcoating for my sealcoating needs for the next 20 years...

Mark was very responsive. He called me to arrange a day and time and called me back when the weather was just right to do the job. The work only took about an hour, and the painters were there the next day to paint the new lines.

Very reliable company. Very easy to schedule the work and they showed up right on schedule. There was one area of the driveway where the sealcoat didn't adhere properly. Just one phone call and they were back the next day to reseal the area. Will definitely be using them in the future.

Entire process from start to finish was very convenient. Called for a quote and their estimator came out next day while I was at work, and left the estimate in our mailbox. Crew arrived on time--we were at home, but its not necessary for you to be there--and completed our driveway within 3 hours. Excellent finish work: good cleanup of excess sealant, and they edged the driveway in order to ensure a consistent coat across the entire surface. Got two competitive quotes, and their rates were comparable. Will definitely use them again.

It is a family owned business and I liked that. They have a little post card that they send out to everybody which said that they had already done an estimate on my driveway and if we call within a certain period of time; they would give me a discount. The person who came out was very prompt and nice. He showed up late after his work hours but he still did a very good job. We had a discount coupon that we had in the mail and although we were a little late, they still honored that.

They had no mess. They showed up when they were supposed to, did the work when they were supposed to and the work was good. I haven't had any problems or any callbacks. I thought the price was reasonable.

We scheduled the work to be completed while we were away on vacation so that we would not need garage access after the work was completed. Stringer completed the work on the date promised and we were able to use our driveway without interruption when we returned from vacation. We would use Stringer again and recommend them to others.

This company was very prompt when they came to provide us with an estimate to repair large "pot holes" in our driveway. They were punctual on the initial day of service and that is the only compliment I can provide. From there we had problem after problem. First the young man who performed the work made a huge mess and then left the debris in the grass and street. The cold patch was not level with the rest of the driveway and it never hardened like it should have. I called back to only leave a message with our problem of the driveway not hardening, the mess and now tire tracks were imprinted into the asphalt. It took me calling SEVERAL times before anyone got back to me. They sent someone else out to take a look at the driveway and take pictures. He said he would get back to me later that day. I still heard nothing by the next day. I called again and they told me they would send someone else out to fix the problem. They were supposed to arrive on a Friday and showed up the day before instead. This guy said what he does should fix the driveway and just make sure to stay off of it for 2 days. We did that but the cold patch still didn't work and it was still soft and crumbling everywhere. I called the company AGAIN! They were scheduled to come back on Aug. 11th and they never showed up. I even called during the timeframe to check to make sure they were coming. Of course I always get their voicemail and no call was returned. I then left another message the next day and finally someone called me back. He apparently had no idea no one came or what happened. He scheduled to have someone come back Aug. 25th. This person did arrive and complete the work. Now 2 weeks later I'm still trying to contact them because it is worse than before. I will never use Stringer again. They don't return calls promptly and it seems no one is really communicating within the company. I am still frustrated and wanting this to be over. I am waiting to pay the final price until the work is done without a problem.

Stringer called to reschedule twice because of impending rain. When the weather was suitable he called to ask if Saturday was acceptable. The work was done while I was gone and the bill tucked into my door. My neighbors said the worker was excellent, professional, and careful. There were no spills, the cracks were filled, and he put a barrier string (with sign) across the drive. I am so pleased that Stringer waited for ideal weather conditions instead of rushing the job.

went great. showed up on time, did a nice job and left. even put up signs and a rope line blocking the lot.

Excellent service. Very responsive. Called on Tuesday, came out to estimate on Wednesday, and performed worked on Thursday. They finished the work before other companies even returned my call to get an estimate.

They did a great, professional job because there is no asphalt on the grass or plants along the drive. We were very pleased with the company and would recommend them to anyone.

We chose Stringer over another lower-cost estimate, based on an expectation of better service. It was during a spell, a couple of weeks' worth, of rainy weather, and the date needed to be changed 3 times. Each time, we received a phone call from Stringer letting us know that because of concerns about rain it would need to be rescheduled. I did worry a bit that they would attempt to do the sealing even with a threat of rain since they had obviously been forced to reschedule many customers due to the prolonged spell of rain, but fortunately the rain held off long enough when they finally did the work. I do think that had I gone with the company with the cheaper estimate, this might have been more of a problem. The worker was prompt, and seemingly thorough, and explained about how long we needed to stay off the driveway. In all, we were satisfied.

When we contacted the company, they returned our call within a day. We were given an appointment within a week. No time was given for the service, as we did not need to be present. The gentleman arrived late in the afternoon and the driveway was finished in a short period of time. Some of the cracks were not completely filled, but otherwise the driveway looks good.

They did a nice job. The tar was only on the blacktop. They were careful to not get any on our brickwork or on the sidewalk.

My call was returned promptly and the work was scheduled at my convenience. I was called the day before to confirm the appointment and the worker arrived in the morning as promised.

The folks at Stringer were courteous. They scheduled my sealcoat within two days of my initial phone call. The work was done while I was gone and it looked great!

I left a message on Monday, which was returned on Tue & job was scheduled for Thursday. The crew arrived w/in the time window specified; blew the driveway clear of leaves, twigs, acorns, etc; applied patching material on cracks & depressions; and finished w/sealcoat. They put a string across the driveway & left me w/instructions on when we could walk & drive over it. Driveway looks great.

Good job - beat quotes for the same work by $50-$75. A couple of the cracks could have been filled better, though.

I left a phone message that was returned within 48 hours. When I received the callback, it was late afternoon and I was told that someone could come over in a half hour to do the job if I wanted. Michael, the sealcoater, did a superb job, taking special care since the driveway abuts a decorative stamped concrete walkway. The job was quick, neat and professional.

This job went well. The seal coater came on day scheduled and during time specified. He worked efficiently and was very professional. The job was done well.

When I called I couldn't get someone to come out for a month. When they were supposed to come out they canceled because they said it was looking like rain. It did rain but much later that night. The next date they gave me they never showed up. They didn't know why no one showed! It took two more calls to get rescheduled. I guess I was irritated because it took them way to long and too many phone calls to get something done. It seems they are too small to handle high volume and they don't keep track of their crew who weren't very friendly when they arrived.

I called Stringer in the fall, too late to have the work done. In the spring, they called me! The job was well done and I don't think I could have done it myself for less.
